Technician was on time and very eager to begin work. Two ceiling fans (master bedroom/family room) were malfunctioning. The wiring had been improperly connected during the intial installation and had to be rewired. Both fans operated correctly after the work was completed. A great experience from scheduling and completion of the appointment.

Phil was polite, professional, and efficient. He quickly performed the work I requested.

Went Great.! Everyone I spoke to on the phone was very very nice and helpful. I had to reschedule my appointment at the last minute due to the hurricane and they were cool with that. they called and confirmed the morning of the appointment. The man who came out was so friendly we chatted the whole time he was here. He was super careful not to make a mess and he went out of his way to get up into the attic so he didn't have to cut holes in the walls. My only regret is that the service didn't use up the whole 2 hours and I had another small project he may have been able to do before the time was up. I didn't think of it and I wish he had said something about it.

We appreciate that this was a two-person job because of the height and that it required a special ladder. While the the extra charges of an additional person and renting of a taller ladder were explained to me in advance the total in addition to the Angie List Deal we purchased seemed excessive for this job. A contractor such as this should not have to rent a ladder for this type of work. CET does communicate very puncutally and followed through at all times. During the job, one of the globes on the chandelier was broken inadvertently and they quickly nfofied us and cleaned up the broken glass. CET handled contacting the manufacturer to get the replacement and then came back to replace the globe as soon as the new piece arrived. However the additional charges were more than double on top of what the original "Big Deal" coupon cost. While I am satisfied with the work I think this was a bit excessive for the relatively simple electrical work required. There were positives though that any consumer should take into account: CET was very professional and made good on the mishap . Their workers were also professional and courteous. I would consider them for future straightforward electical work if their price was competive with others. If it wasn't for having the coupon, I would have talked with at least one or two other companies before having decided on a contractor and not sure they would have prevailed.

They were prompt, went right to work, didn’t waste any time. The service was very good and I would definitely use them again. The technician I had was really helpful in advising me about some other electrical issues. Just a very nice guy and nice to deal with.

The office staff made my appointment quickly & followed up with reminders. The electrician seemed skilled to me. He proceeded to work immediately, finished quickly and left everything tidy. My B grade is only because I did have more tasks on my checklist I mentioned when I set the appointment & was of course willing to pay full rate for the overage.. The electrician did tell me when he arrived that there was another customer with an emergency so it was doubtful I could have everything on the list. I did get the full 2 hours as contracted.

I had them relocate and outlet, but they were not able to complete the job when they came so they rescheduled at no cost to me. So far I have been very impressed with their demeanor and professionalism.

The technician was on time, came with a service order ready, and finished on time.

What would have taken me a weekend to do along with several trips to the hardware store - they were able to knock out in 90 minutes. They were excellent to deal with and look forward to hiring them again in the future for other projects

The technician was punctual and courteous. He changed outlets, fixed light switches , changed to dimmer switch., checked other outlets for accurrate operation.

I purchased the materials and called to make an appointment. They scheduled me within a few days on a day that worked best for me. John C., the electrician, called and arrived on time, went right to work and was very knowledgeable. I will name request him the next time I use Certified. He didn't spare a minute and finished everything I needed to be done. This was a great deal and I lucked out with a great electrician

We had an inoperative outlet in our garage and an inoperative security lamp in our front yard. The sevice technician inspected all electircal outlets in the garge, determined oneutlet was blown and replaced it. Since the security lamp ran off of the same wiring this reactivated it as well. We had a coupon, offered by the company, for 2 hours of work (parts not included) for $125.00. The repairs took alot lees time than the 2 hours mentioned on the coupon but this is something that I could not anticipate. Still happy with the work and the reassurance that this proplem will not reoccur anytime soon.

Eric was a good listener and helped me prioritize my time so that I received the maximum assistance for my money. He gave suggestions, proposed solutions, was receptive to my ideas, and helped me to prepare for the next steps in my project.

I sent a message via their website and the office got back to me that afternoon. They offered to have someone come out the next day, but that didn't work with my schedule, so we agreed on Friday morning which was the soonest I could manage. The electrician, John, called ahead of time to let me know he would be at the house in about 20 minutes. I had a window from 8 to 12 noon, and he arrived around 8:30. He took the time to listen to what I had to say and what we had already done to troubleshoot and then he took it from there. It took him less than half an hour to figure out what was going on - it was not altogether straightforward and required several adjustments. He then checked other outlets in the house to verify that previous work had been done to code - our house was originally wired with aluminum and I wanted to be sure that the aluminum to copper junctions were properly done. He explained what to look for and took the time to show me. He also gave me advice for installing a 3-way incandescent dimmer switch. Two important things to mention: First of all, he did not try to sell me anything. I've had experience with other Big Deals where the technician used the opportunity to try to sell us an additional product or service that was not part of the service call. Second, they honored an Angie's List Big Deal coupon (2 hours of electrical service for $125) that had expired 8 months prior. When I scheduled the service, I mentioned it and they looked me up in their system. I called them to make sure that it would be okay to mention this in my review and I was assured that they make every effort to make sure people get their money's worth. That's a company that understands quality customer service and they can be assured of my future business.

Overall, I was pleased with the electrician's courtesy, promptness and professionalism. However, I was not pleased with the outside outlets in how they were installed. (although they work just fine) I would like for them to come and correct the problem, even if it costs more.

Work went smoothly and efficiently. I'm in an old rowhouse, so old gas pipes were in the way and had to be removed. I had already purchased the fan, but a fan box was needed for installation. He had this on the truck so there was no delay. Although not a difficult job, old houses have their idiosyncrasies and Eric took them all in stride. He was professional, friendly, and cleaned up afterward. What more could one ask?

Their price was not cheap ($125 for first hour) but I do not know how that compares to others. They were prompt and professional, found the source of the problem and fixed it quickly. I would use them again.

It went really well. They arrived on time, and stayed longer than the 2 hours we paid for.

I called and told them I needed to replaced 5 outside light fixtures and the light post with the ones I bought. I was given an estimate and scheduled a date and time window. A day or two later, they called back to reschedule because of hurricane Sandy. Obviously it was not their fault and the new scheduled date was not too far off the original date. So, there was no problem there. The time frame was between 8:00am and 12:00pm and the Certified Electrical Tech (CET) service man showed up around 8:20am. It was a very basic service I needed done and the CET service man did what I requested with no problems. The new lamp post did not have a dusk sensor so the CET service man was able to remove the one from the old light post and install it in the new post. A job well done (with the whole experience from scheduling to job completion) being excellent.

Overall they did a good job. My only complaint about the job performed is that I noticed after he left that one of the vanity lights wasn't centered correctly. This was on my main floor so it will be seen by guests. Otherwise the work was well done. I purchased 2 hours of labor through a deal that I bought. Originally I had planned to use them to add additional electrical outlets outside near my pond that I had expanded. Unfortunately they required that I dig down 2 feet to lay the wires. Because the ground is so rocky and full of tree roots I couldn't comply with that requirement so I had to go with another company that didn't require that depth. I do understand that they did that so no one would electricute themselves by digging into the wire accidently. Just a word to the wise to check the requirements for a specific job before buying a deal.

Overall. I think then did a great job.

We had no electricity in our bathroom going to our light fixture. It seems that mice had chewed through the wiring in the floor that connects to the wall lighting unit. In no time at all, the electrician pinpointed the exact spot that needed repair, so that we could make a very precise cut into our garage ceiling/bathroom floor. He fixed the wiring, put the light fixture back in place, and ensured that everything was in working order. Both the company management and the electrician we worked with were professional and responsive! I highly recommend this company for any electrical issues!

I had two new ceiling lights that were switched out with two old ones. Also a new light was installed. The electrician was very nice and professional and did a great job.

We have an older home (circa 1908) w/many additions over the years. Resultantly there is somewhat odd wiring schema as well. We had a problem with flickering dimmer lights in our living room that had previously stumped our handy-man. Phil from Certified was able to work through it and also installed a number of new dimmer switches and is going to come back to tackle the rewiring of our fan (which apparently is a "remote" fan of which the previous owners never left the remote to). They were also very punctual and professional & we will definitely be using them again in the future.
