The work went well. I first called their office to discuss the work to be performed. The person in their office and I discussed the parts I needed to purchase. I purchased the parts and had them waiting for the person on the scheduled date/time. The person arrived on schedule and installed all of the parts properly. I am happy with the results.

The work was performed very well, The service provider was very professional and very service oriented. He also seemed to be very knowledgeable. I look forward to his return to install a dimmer switch in my kitchen.

Eric arrived on time. He completed the job, which included many trips up to the attic, in four hours. He was very professional.

I purchased a BIG Deal $175 Whole House Surge Protection installation. I called the CET office to ask about the unit to be installed. A tech promptly called me back and asked for some basic info about my electric breaker box and told me my setup would probably require a Cutler-Hammer unit. I did some research online on the unit and read several reviews. I got the info about the box, called back and talked with another tech who scheduled the work. On the scheduled day, the electrician arrived during the 3 hour window and completed the work in about 30 minutes. The approximately 3" X 4" unit installs on the outside bottom of the breaker box and requires two adjacent breaker slots one atop the other. I did not have adjacent open slots so the electrician had to relocate another service. I was changed additional for a replacement breaker. The surge protection unit has status lights in case of failure and CET warranties the unit for lifetime free replacement. I will not rely solely on this unit for surge protection from the outside. I still use surge protectors in the house. Ask about the unit your installer will use and do your research before purchasing.

The technician was patient and answered all my questions. The work was done quickly.

Phil arrived on time and we went over the items I needed doing. He then set to doing them. He cleaned up the mess before he left. He was very nice.

Overall, we were very happy with the service we received and we are already working with them again on another project.

Altho I bought the coupon in the spring, I did not use it until months later. On calling to make the appointment, Steve was a rather irrascible fellow - constantly repeating what the coupon did not include. Based on his interaction, I considered not utilizing the coupon, but I had paid, so went forward with it. Appointment was scheduled, Eric, the electrician was prompt and worked efficiently, cleaning up after himself and was most gracious. I learned a lot about the wear of time and usage on the outlets, and also recessed lighting. I consider this visit a trial for possible future needs. Based on Eric's performance, I would consider using this business again.

I have a contract with a home warranty company and CES is the company they referred me to. Was having issues with power shutting off and on in a few rooms of my house. About an hour before the technician arrived the power came back on...and stayed on for several hours. The technician stayed for about 45 minutes to try to diagnose the issue but with there being no issues at the time he was there, he had to leave.

Job went extremely well. Got an Angie's Big Deal offer for $129 for 2hr of electrical work for Certified Eletrical Technologies (CET). Called for the appointment. Talked Steve, whom asked about the work to be done, and he made sure what I was requesting could be done in a 2hr period. He took all my info of the what I wanted and set up the next available appointment which was 1.5 weeks later. I received an appointment reminder postcard in the mail 3 days later. On the post card, it also says to ask about the FREE 10point Safety Check, which I totally forgot about...no problem there though, but wondered what that was while typing up this review. On the day of my schedule appointment, the CET technician showed up promply on time. Confirmed my requested work and asked of any changes. He explained how the work will be done, the additiional cost of the wiring (which is stated in the fine print of the materials), and started working within 12min after getting there. He replaced the outlet with a new one and tested to make it is always has power. He found the center of the room and gave me two choice of mounts, direct center and off center. This was due to the Joist electrial outlet that I had, which I had no problem because the joist was only 5 inches off room center. He mounted the joist ceiling box, then light fixture. He then cut small 4x6 (approx) inch holes in the drywall of the ceiling and wall to run the electrial wire for the light fixture. Technician used a large heavey drop cloth to catch 95 percent of the drywall pieces and dust (KUDOS). Hooked up fixture to prewired wall switch and tested with my supplied CFL bulb. When done he cleaned up very well. Wrote the bill for the additional charge for materials, which was $3.75 for the electrical wire and paid with check. Job was done with 12min to spare. Ask him about some minor future work I need done and he was off to his next job. One more thing...2 days later I received a card in the mail thank me for using their service. Also inside this card was a $20 off coupon for any future job valid till December 31, 2013 and also a CET company magnet(business card size) with address and number for fridge.

The tech arrived on time and performed the services efficiently. Some changes had to be made to the original plan that were thoroughly explained by the tech. The first visit from Certified Electrical Technologies was the result of my purchasing a Big Deal from Angie's List. I was so please I arranged to have this additional service performed. I would recommend them to my friends and family without hesitation.

First impression was a little disappointing...the scheduler sounded a little grumpy and irritated, and stated the first available appointment was 30 days out...but the second caller was much friendlier when he called me to remind me of the date/time. I also received a post card reminder. The electrician came out on time and was very friendly and professional. The company only charges per hour/half hour and not per job. So they estimated how long it would take, which translated into a dollar estimate. But they don't have to stick to their dollar estimate; they are paid by however long the job takes. Since they bill hourly, there is certainly no sense of urgency to complete a job, so I felt it may have been a little on the long side, and therefore costing a little more than I (and they) thought it would, but the quality of work was extremely good, both in appearance and integrity. I rated the responsiveness a C because the electrician had an emergency come up and had to leave the job midway through. I was not told when he was coming back to finish, and never received a call from them to reschedule, so I had to call them a few days later to get a new date/time. I expected them to call me to set up the new date/time for completion since they had to leave the job unexpectedly. The electrician was able to return within about a week and did a great job completing the work. Overall I was satisfied and would use the company again.

I have used this company twice using deals on Angie's List. My only complaint is with the person that I spoke to on the phone both times when I was scheduling the date. Both times the person almost discouraged me from whatever work I wanted done. And when I was telling him what I wanted done, he would say things like, we don't do that or it can't be done in the two hour timeframe. I almost felt as if I had to beg him to do the few things I wanted done. Not a very good feeling. Anyway, I was not unhappy with the electricians both times, they were prompt and did the jobs as quickly as possible. I would probably use them again if they had another one of the same deals.

We had a plan with them to come out once a month and we have been emailing and calling for 2 months and haven't rec'd a call back or an email.

The service technician arrived on time; he was courteous and professional. He did a great job and the new fixtures look lovely. He completed his work in a timely manner.

I purchased an Angie's list coupon $125/2 hours of service. They were prompt, called before they came and completed the work requested efficiently and cleaned up after. Overall a good experience.

They did a great job. The guy worked like a mad man and completed everything with time left over.

They scheduled quickly. Electrician called, as promised, when en route, and arrived on time. The work was performed within the estimated time frame, with no additional charge. The electrician (whose name, unfortunately, I've forgotten) was extremely courteous and thoroughly professional. I would be happy to use their services and recommend them to my neighbors in the future.

Ours is a quirky house, much remodeled. Eric, after much trial and error told us the recessed lights are beginning to wear out, and the remodeled ceiling won't take new cans. This is valuable knowledge; we now have to figure out what kind of lighting to use to replace what we have. This was helpful, and he was completely professional. The deal was for $125, and we paid $16 for two dimmer switches, which one of our bad lights blew as he tried to diagnose the problem. Glad we didn't have to pay more for a diagnosis!

I was having problems with my hall lights not working. Right about the same time I saw a special on Angie's List and set up an appointment with CERTIFIED Electrical Technologies. After telling them my dilemma they explained to me what I could expect. I was able to set up an appointment convenient to me. The help came on time, introduced himself, and I pointed him in the right direction. It didn't take long before he came and told me what the problem was and what could be done to correct it. He was professional, efficient, and I now have working hall lights! I would definitely use them again and would refer them to others. Job well done! I was also given a coupon for an future work! A few weeks ago I called to see if someone could come and look at the switch in my bathroom. The lights worked but I couldn't plug anything in and get it to work, which was a real inconvenience. Anyway, the gentleman over the phone asked me a few questions and told me it was such and such and if I did this to that it should be working. If I had any other problems to call him back. Sure enough the problem was resolved. I REALLY appreciated him working with me over the phone instead of sending someone over to correct it and then charge me. Thank you!

The gentleman was very nice and easy to work with. They didn't have a tall enough ladder to do the attic work so they came back another day with a taller ladder.
