Certified Electrical was superb in every respect. I waited a long time to use their services, and my delay was never a concern for them. They were totally flexible about my needs. On the date of service, the electrician came during the time period specified, and quickly went to work. He was exceptionally proficient, and completed the work well ahead of my expectations. While he worked, I asked a lot of questions, and he answered them in a most professional manner. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone.

I called on August 14th and asked to have an electrician come out at their earliest convenience. They were able to send a technician out on the 15th between noon and 4 PM. He showed up around 1 PM, after calling to let me know he'd be there shortly. He grabbed a few tools from the truck (pliers, snips and a multimeter) and headed into the house to check out the issue. Within 10 minutes he knew what the issue was and how to proceed. With my permission he had to knock a hole in the basement ceiling to pull the wire through the floor. He was able to repair the broken cable and coupled it inside of a junction box. He was in and out of the house in a half hour, and didn't waste any time. Plus he was really nice, and had a serious Baltimore accent.

I called CERTIFIED because of the fine reputation they had with Angie's and the great write-ups. My call for an estimate was very professional and handled well. I scheduled an appointment. My row house kitchen was rehabbed 20 years ago. It turns out that all wiring went over the top of the kitchen ceiling, rather than down through the sheetrock of a rehabbed wall and into the basement. My technician, Eric, cut into the wall and discovered this unusual way of routing the wiring. He also discovered that the rehabbers didn't go down because that would have required them to go through cinder block new footer construction. At my request Eric was able to pound through one cinder block in the kitchen. We stopped there. I told him that I would try to complete the new hole-wiring route to the basement, and that I would contact him if and when I was able to get a clear path through the multiple cinder blocks. The basement 'destruction' work was in an extremely hard to get to high and recessed area, through 2x6 joists and then into the cinder blocks. I was eventually able to drill, saw, and wrecking-bar my way to a clear path for a wire. Eric came back and finished the electrical work for the new circuit, which is operating just fine. Eric was very helpful in analyzing the job and what was required by the two of us to get done what I wanted. At the completion of the wiring job, I asked him to install a new inside timer switch that I had bought, but never installed. He did so very efficiently and programmed it for me. All in all, I couldn't have asked for more, from beginning to end. When I need additional electrical work, I will call CERTIFIED.

All went well! Electrician arrived on time and quickly installed the ceiling fan. Excellent experience. Will use this company in the future.

I have used these folks in the past with good results. As the ratings say, they were professional setting up the visit, on time, and the job was very professional, When they left I had a question on how the fan worked and they were quickly available by phone. Don't know how their fees compare but I felt they were very reasonable for the work involved.

I felt like everything went very well at first. But less than a year later I am finding out they did not tell me I needed a new electrical panel. I am currently having to get this replaced after this recent discovery.

It went well. I called, they came out in a week and the electrician took a little over two hours to do the work.

They did a fine job, but I thought the price was a little high for the work. Would hire them again though.

Eric called ahead to let me know when he would be there. He was professional and courteous and fixed my problems quickly and advised me on what to look for in the future should I have similar issues.

The electrician arrived exactly as scheduled. He removed the existing old light fixtures and installed the new ones. The price was low. I had a Big Deal coupon for 2 hours which had expired, so I anticipated paying an additional amount over the amount I paid for the coupon. I was pleasantly surprised that they honored the coupon. Wow! You can't beat that for customer service and top notch professional work!

The electrician was very nice but I did not use all the time and they would not credit it for a future visit. My problem really was not definitely solved.

CET was on time and very professional. My only slight disappointment was that I had to have someone come in later and put in some drywall and paint over areas that had to be cut into. This wasn't the electrician's fault though -- perhaps it was due to my lack of understanding of the project.

Went great. Electrician showed up exactly when they said he would (and he called before he came). In addition to installing all of the fixtures, he fixed an outlet that hadn't been working in a very long while.

Eric did a wonderful job and in very little time finding the correct circuit breaker for our dishwasher, which had never been properly marked when the house was built 20+ years ago. He is a true professional all-around. He called 30 minutes prior to arriving and went straight to work.

I had purchased a big deal from Certified Electric last year and never got around to using it. Even though due to my delay it was marked as an expired deal, they did not hesitate to honor it! As for the actual work, it went extremely smooth. I had to reschedule the initial visit I had set up and that was no problem at all for their support staff. On the day of the work, the technician called about 30 minutes prior to showing up (as promised by their scheduler) and completed the work quickly and efficiently. The technician was courteous and personable. Not much more to say, an excellent experience. Would not hesitate to call again.

A kitchen outlet was intermittent on Sunday before going dead on Monday. I traced the line back to the fusebox and a good fuse but could not find the problem. We phoned CET on Monday and got an appointment for Tuesday. A repairman called ahead before arrival on Tuesday. He found a second receptacle with a faulty GFCI outlet over a sink, connected to the dead line. He replaced the GFCI unit and both lines were again powered. The repair took about 45 minutes. I used a discount coupon from a prior CET job to reduce the cost to $135.

They did a pretty good job. Everything was fixed and they were timely.

I spoke with a technician who was very nice, and they explained they couldn't do what I wanted them to do. They were very honest in letting me know about their limitations.

Great electrician! While ours was a simple request (adding wiring for chandeliers) our dining room was complicated and wiring had to be drilled from the basement. We wanted the locations of the double chandeliers to be centered from the fireplace hearth (not the wall and not centered in the room) and spacing to be specific to the width of the brickwork. No problem and the result was perfect! No destruction of drywall outside of the chandelier location for the fixture itself. (We've had experiences in the past where you need a drywall repair guy after, but not this time!) Every part of the transaction was professional. Highly recommend and will use for future projects!
