Eric was great! We encountered one new issue after another (chandelier was an antique) and he was able to figure out a solution to every problem that emerged. He was fast, courteous, and the price was very reasonable. We will use this company for all of our future electrical work!

The electrician did a great job of moving the power source for my wall mounted TV. He was very knowledgeable and straight forward about the things I wanted done and their feasibility. A few things I had in mind would not really work out due to type of lights, switch locations etc.,

On April 24, 2012, I bought a coupon on Angie's List for two hours of electrical labor for $125. When I tried to contact the phone number (410-823-5252) in August 2012, there was never an answer. There was a message saying that, if you're calling about an Angie's list coupon, send an email describing the work that you want done. I never got a response to my email (in which I described the need to install two motion detector lights) by either email or by voicemail left on my work or cell phones. I think this conduct is inexcusable.

We did not use them as we were not in their service area. They emailed us quickly to let us know this and we were able to get a refund. They seemed nice enough to let us know that.

This was great. I was able to easily get an appointment. The electrician called before he arrived to make sure I was ready. He was very friendly and did great work. He asked a lot of questions to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. He cleaned up after himself and overall was the kind of guy I don't mind having in my house.

Certified Electric responded within one day after purchasing the deal to set up the appointment. The electrician who performed the work did an excellent job. He finished the things I had planned well within the 2 hours (light fixtures and doorbell), and since he was so fast, he was able to change the outlets at the same time. Someone from the company followed up the next day to verify that the work was done to my satisfaction. Everyone I interacted with were pleasant, courteous and thoroughly professional. I would definitely recommend them if you need an electrician.

Promptly responded to request for service and scheduled appointment. Gave clear and succinct responses to my questions without making me feel like a dummy. Gave time estimate for each job allowing me to prioritize what I wanted simpler. Friendly , courteous and professional. Just a really nice guy. Will use when I need certainly use him again.

The inspection went well. We were promised an estimate on additional work but never received it..

This visit was worth way more than the $89 we initially paid for it (as a Big Deal). Eric arrived early, and -- as noted above -- checked out all our electrical outlets; the circuit box; and the smoke detectors. He replaced 3 bad outlets for a modest $51 extra. He also took time to explain how an older appliance (like an electric toothbrush) might trigger the safety shutoff in an outlet -- something we had experienced on more than one occasion. Finally, he determined that our over-the-range microwave was not just ailing, but kaput, and that our problems with it may have stemmed from the fact that it was not on a dedicated circuit. (Years ago, the builder installed a range hood/fan, which the first owners replaced with a microwave.) We now know that we should choose a replacement microwave with somewhat lower wattage than the former had. Eric was courteous, tidy, and good humored, and wasn't afraid to share a lot of helpful information. We would be glad to have him back for future work.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went well. This was my second Big Deal from them because they do a lot of work in 2 hours so it’s a good deal. I was very pleased with them the first time. I’m particularly happy with the quantity of work.

It went well; I was asked if I wanted to follow the inspector, but I declined to do so. I received a postcard and a phone call reminding me of my appointment. Overall, it went well and if there's a problem in the future, I will definitely call CET.

The Certified Electrical office responded to our call with courtesy, promptness and very good listening. The technician was friendly and knowledgable, timely and he did everything to our satisfaction. They will be our electricians from now on.

I wanted a ceiling fan but that couldn't be done so he got a ceiling light and did all the wiring and connected it to a wall switch. It went excellent.

See above: When I asked him about the "free audit" w/any service call, and the fact this was priced at 1/2 the going rate, he said, he had nothing to do w/the billing/rates. I also wanted a written report on the findings, but not available then; they did send a very short summary of what they did, but not really helpful. I had used this service before on one of Angie's special, for electrical work of two hours. At that time, the electrician did replace a porch fan/light fixture and help repair a lamp. That went well and they even came back at no charge to check something I had found, which was not really serious issue on the fan. So that was good, but the audit was not really fair when you add the service free, yet spend 89 dollars for no real finding. I did call and complain that the wording on the card was misleading, so he asked me to provide some better wording. I did not do this as I said it was up to him to do that. My wife has been seriously sick over the past year, so I have not really pursued this.

It started off well. Provider seemed to be knowledgeable and willing to perform the service. However, when I contacted the provider (Gary Epstein) to schedule the work at the end of the day on a weekday, he responded with a 1-4 window, with a 30-minute call ahead. I told this person that because my wife and I had very few vacation hours, we couldn't take time off from work, waiting hours for a contractor to show up. I next told the provider that if they couldn't accommodate my schedule with a first thing morning schedule or one at the end of the day, I would need to find another electrician that had a more accommodating schedule. The provider responded with the comment, "Chuck - no need for threats and if you would prefer another firm that is fine". I wrote him back and told him it wasn't a threat, it was my consumer right to find a provider that best suited my schedule. I think this provider was overly sensitive and actually, in a way, became abusive. I have no interest in doing business with a company that has that sort of attitude, and I'm surprised it has an Angie's List, "A", rating.

Work was performed quickly and professionally. The electrician took pains to understand our needs, and to suggest the most economical way to achieve them.

They did the job and I wasn't completely satisfied because I didn't make in clear what I wanted done. They came back and did it exactly the way I wanted and I couldn't be more happier.

The install of ceiling fans went very well. I had a little trouble with making the appointment and getting the company to agree to the service being done and the cost of the job.

It went very well. We have used this provider several times and they have always provided on time, professional service. We have not had problems with any of their work.

The visit went well and less than an hour. Technician took time to explain the problems he found and his recommended solutions. He was very patient with my many questions. The technician was able to use supplies I had on hand and therefore I did not have to re-purchase those items. The technician also looked at 2 outlets that were not functioning properly and repaired.

I purchased a $140 Big Deal for electrical work for 2 hours of licensed, professional electrical labor. This was intended for the installation of a light fixture inside a closet, and for checking out/repairing a non-functioning roof deck lighting system. The electrician did a great job with the closet light fixture, and found a minimally intrusive way to create an outlet for it inside the closet. However, I discovered too late that this company refused to work on low-voltage systems like my roof deck lighting. Since the closet light job took only an hour to complete, I felt that I wasted/overpaid for the "Big Deal". As it turned out, another electrician easily and quickly found and fixed the roof deck lighting system a few months later -- but of course that was another large-ish bill. Next time I need an electrician, I'll go with a company that can do more than one thing.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I used them to install a ceiling fan. I bought a coupon for 2 hours of electrical work for $140. It took him the entire two hours to install the fan, which it felt was excessive since all he was doing was replacing an old one. He didn't have to install a fan box or anything. I was hoping to get more work out of him for that cost, but I didn't. That's why a B rating and not an A. I had no issues with scheduling and he was prompt on arrival. Friendly, and well mannered.
