Fabulous! Ellen was able to match the existing floors for additional rooms and helped us pick out some replacement carpet that would go with carpet that was staying put. And she was very honest about the price range we shouldn’t venture into. The workmen who did the install were very courteous and professional and did a beautiful job.

Salesperson came out to my house to look at my existing floors and measure. I gave her two floorboards to take with her so she could identify them (we bought the house and didn't know what kind of wood it was.). She said they were cherry, and I trusted that- after all, they are the hardwood floor professionals, not me! As soon as the installer finished the floor, he remarked that it didn't match- and he was right. Upon contacting Bode Floors, they insisted it was the right floor and over time the color would match. Except the boards were the wrong width, as well. After LOTS of Internet research and a visit to another hardwood installer, our floors were correctly identified as 3 1/4 inch teak, not 3 inch cherry. They refused to admit - despite their installer's opinion, and despite the obvious color and plank size difference - that they misidentified my floor, and therefore ordered and installed the wrong product. It took 2+ weeks, and many phone calls back and forth to get this resolved. The customer service was terrible, and the manager said the problem was my fault because I "ordered the wrong floor". Not once did anyone apologize, and at first they refused to refund my money. Finally I demanded a full refund and that they take up the incorrect floor they installed. The manager said they would, but wanted me to acknowledge that I was "partially responsible for the problem due to ordering the wrong floor." Unbelievable. I have never been treated so badly as a customer.

I would like to start by saying the installers were amazing. They worked so hard, showed up on time, and did a great job, the floors look wonderful! Anything negative I have to say is about the salesman, Bob Wolf. The only reason we chose Bode floors was because we had to. The previous homeowners chose a flooring downstairs exclusive to Bode and we wanted the flooring to match throughout. We would have chosen ANYONE else to do our flooring because working with Bob was that irritating. When getting the estimate Bob spoke to me differently than he spoke to my husband. He said he couldn't tell me the estimate over the phone because there are a lot of details and I wouldn't understand them and I would have to come in to the store for him to better explain. Then my husband called and Bob told him estimate and nothing about it was "over my head". Then he emailed the estimate which had no price breakdown. I emailed him and asked for a price breakdown and he said that's "not something they typically do" but begrudgingly gave me a rough breakdown. I don't think asking for how he got to that final number of $10,000 was abnormal but apparently I was wrong. All our communications with him came off rude and I just found him to be extremely unprofessional. Bob was able to move our installation date back a day when an issue came up so I guess he did that for us. Other issues arose with him but this review has been long enough. I would never use Bode Floors again or recommend them to anyone I know just because of our experience with Bob wolf and that's a shame because the installers did such a good job.

I have a family member who has allergies so Bode recommended that that person's bedroom and the family room which is where they spend majority of their time have laminate. There was carpet in the stairs and the other living area except the kitchen and the bathroom had vinyl. I thought that was a very personal line. I hadn't had anybody tell me I don't have to do all this and that. We talked about how to take that into consideration and I had to be very cost efficient, and make sure that I didn't have excessive cost. They were very good in recommending the best product for our living situation. I think they really worked well knowing that I didn't have a lot of resources.. The quality of work was excellent. The other day I called the person who did the sales for me. I asked her for some cleaning product suggestions and she was right on it.

We did 3 different marbles so there were 3 different prices. We weren't happy. They did the flooring up to the baseboards. We wanted to check the baseboards out later. It was just hard to get it out. I just felt like they could have told us that beforehand. They were a little expensive.

I was not happy with the sales experience first of all but, since the store was close and they had the product that I wanted, we placed our order regardless. The ceramic tile floor installers damaged our hardwood floors where they went in and out of the house. They did not put cardboard down to protect it and only used thin plastic which quickly ripped. The grit from the tile damaged the hardwood floor finish when they walked over the torn plastic. Also, the salesperson refused to install the proper wood trim around the perimeter afterwards and only provided white primed quarter round that did not match the floors or the wood cabinets. I painted the trim myself to match part of it and my husband installed some of it. Also, the threshold that they used for the transition was wrong and had to be corrected. I was glad that they at least addressed that concern.
The carpet is just okay. I think that the seams show more than what I had before. Also, I thought that I was getting pet-proof padding in both rooms but only got it in my family room.
Overall, I am dissatisfied based on the high cost of the project. Also, there was no follow up on their part to find out if we were happy with their work.

We had Bode handle the carpeting in our basement and the hardwood floors in our living room, dining room and most recently, our renovated kitchen. Every time the service and installation were flawless. The floor looks great. We had a problem with an issue after he installation and Bode promised to take care of it. Their responsiveness and service is unmatched. Ask for Bob Wolf. He is the best. We will deal with no one else but Bode in the future!

Part of the cost was covered by insurance, and I only paid a part. I got to pick out the new carpeting, and so far so good. 3 guys came out. Everything went really well. It was quite fast. I have a heavy day bed, and one of the guys took it apart so that they could put the carpet under it, and then put it back together, it was really great. They did a lot. We tried to do as much as we could, and I thought they would just move it, but when I came down, they had put it apart, and they put it back together before they left, that was the last thing that they did.

I went to them and we picked a couple of floors fist and when Elaine came, she brought the samples with her and did a very thorough job of walking around and getting all the measurements and noting where there will be going to be issues. She was great and very professional. She was there on time and she was consistent.

It went surprisingly well. They completed the in one day, as promised. The price quoted was the price we pai. The installer and his assistant showed up on time and were fantastic. We love the floors - they look amazing. The installer was friendly, professional, and very accomodating. We were immediately comfortable with him, and felt safe having him in our home. We even left him in the house alone for a while and went to get some dinner while he finished up. When he was done, he even moved the furniture again, until it was exactly where we wanted it. I HIGHLY recommend using this company. We had a very positive experience, and were very impressed by the employees (esp. The installers)

The work was top notch. The floor looks beautiful. Representative came to house to measure and made a couple of excellent suggestions that we hadn't thought of. These included using the hardwood to make a 2 piece frame around the fireplace granite on the floor and putting hardwood on the vertical portion of the step down into the room. Extremely satisfied with services provided.

Used the Ellicott City office and the salesperson was very knowledgeable and helpful.
The MBR carpet was installed well, though there were several marks left on the walls that needed to be repainted. One workman did all the work and the other sat around playing on his smart phone. Without asking permission, they used two of our bathrooms, including the master bath commode, which was left in disgusting condition.
The hardwood installation in the hall required two return trips. The first time, the two workmen left before addressing a serious creaking sound when walking on the floor. Bode scheduled a return trip to address the creaking sound and the installer (same guy who did the install) argued about the cause of the creak, suggesting that he had to nail some support beams in the basement. I told him that the service rep/scheduler suggested that this can happen when the molding is nailed too tightly. So, he removed the molding and replaced it--the creak went away.
I also addressed another issue with him, which was a brown putty stain that had been left in the MBR , where the hardwood guys had no business being, and on the front sidewalk. This man argued and refused to fix the sidewalk (the MBR carpet had since been replaced), even though it was on his work order to do so. I finally closed the door on him. He came back with the work order he needed to have signed, so I annotated it with his refusal to fix the situation. When he saw that, he went to his truck and brought back something to fix the situation.
When I described my displeasure with Bode's performance on their website, Mr. Bode himself called me to express his apologies. He said he wanted to send a service manager out to check the situation, which he did. While that man was here, I brought up an issue I didn't think would get anywhere on the installer's second visit--the fact that some of the nails in the hallway were put in sideways, leaving a rough splintering of the wood. He examined the floor and said he would send out a different installer to replace those boards and do the nails correctly. I also said that neither the salesperson nor the installers of the carpet had left me a brochure with cleaning instructions. He said he would have the salesperson send me the info. The second installer (third visit) did what he was supposed to do. I never received the cleaning instructions.
The service manager also never followed up with me to be sure all was well. I was too disgusted with this company to contact them again. I will NEVER deal with Bode floors again.

Love it! Below ground level family room. The sales agent was so accommodating, she came and measured. They could have not been nicer. Very professional. Beautiful work. I would recommend them highly.

We used their Ellicott City location. We worked with Michelle Amedeo in the store's office and she was very helpful. She recommended an organizer for us to use who was fantastic. Michelle came out to take the measurements and then came out again a few weeks later at our request to see if we had cleared the upstairs sufficiently. She also did a follow-up call to see how the installation went and if we were pleased with the work. The installers arrived on time, did high quality work, and were actually finished a little early. They were friendly, quite competent, and moved all heavy furniture items. They even did some rearranging of the furniture that we requested. Very, very impressed
We used a competitor a few years back to do our family room. Those installers were unfriendly and unwilling to work with us on removing items.
