CAPITOL HILL CONSTRUCTION

Was looking for a contractor and passed this contractor's name and felt I needed to leave a report because of my experience several years ago. They were the subcontractor and then worked directly for me when the main contractor went out of business. At first they did nice work but got sloppy as things went on. Also didn't follow the architect's directions well. Their greatest weakness was a consistent failure to meet their own established deadlines. It's not like they would miss their estimates by a little bit. They would give me an estimate of a couple of weeks and it would take a couple of months. Very hard to get them to return calls and their project leader had a temper which didn't help when trying to work out project issues. They were expensive and just didn't give the service to match. Working with them was probably one of the more frustrating experiences of my life. I eventually found another contractor to finish the project. As a side note, they worked on another project just a couple blocks from me where I rent an office. I heard they were not particularly happy with this contractor's work either. Finally this contractor worked with other contractors that were not properly licensed and received a fine from the VA DPOR. To end on a positive note, I gave them a C overall rather than an F because they did do some nice work at the beginning of the project. Particularly some extensive tile work and complex drywall angles. So they have the skills to do quality work.

THEY DO EXCELLENT WORK; VERY TRUSTWORTHY. MY KITCHEN LOOKS AMAZING. THE OWNERS ARE HONEST, THE STAFF IS WELL-TRAINED AND WORKS HARD, AND THEY LISTEN TO THEIR CLIENTS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

BEST EVER. UPFRONT AND TIMELY FROM THE WORD GO, KEPT MY HOUSE CLEAN, AND DID A WONDERFUL JOB. HATS OFF TO THE ENTIRE CREW. HAVE RECOMMENDED TO EVERYONE I KNOW WHO NEEDS WORK DONE.
