KELLY'S BODY SHOP

I left the car for a week while I was on vacation. There was one part that had to be special ordered and Kelly's handled that. When I picked up the car today it was in great shape, all the repairs done just as I had discussed with Joe Kelly. I would definitely use them again. Their estimate was accurate and they honored my Angie's list coupon.

My wife hit a traffic barrier while making a sharp turn which caused damage just above the rear wheel of the car. Therefore after getting a couple of estimates, some recommended me to Kelly. When i visited their building i was extremely impressed as it looked more like an office building than a body shop. Thomas Kelly was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He gave me a quote and i decided to hand over the car for repairs. His technicians did great work on my car. Ever since then, i have been going there for all my body work needs. Thomas Kelly knows what he is doing. He is the best! I highly recommend.

I went to three other body shops in the area before choosing Kelly's. I made it -dreadfully- clear to Tom the owner at Kelly's I was a Type "A" personality especially about my cars and I expected flawless work from them. He assured me I would be happy. When I went to pick-up my car, I slowly discovered that MY ENTIRE CAR WAS OVERSPRAYED EVERYWHERE!!! Paint, glass, black plastic trim, tail pipe tips, etc. EVERYWHERE!! Tom was in a bit of disbelief about what I was seeing, feeling, and yes, -hearing- as I rubbed my fingers gently across all of the cars surfaces including the glass etc. His reluctance to accept what I already knew made me a bit crazy. After all, I am -not- a bodyman, but I do wipe my car down after every drive with detailing spray and a clean microfiber towel. I enjoy maintaining and detailing all my cars as a hobby. I also discovered that my INSIDE driver's side window was oversprayed as well. I don't know how you get overspray on the inside of glass, but my window's were lightly 3M tinted. I had to have the oversprayed tint removed and replaced at Tom's expense. The driver's side door was replaced and they used the old guts on the new door. My window must have been exposed to the overspray -somehow-. Tom offered to polish and wax the car at his shop to remove the overspray. I knew from my own experience that the car needed more than that. I decided to take it to a local detailer (Diamond) to find out what I believed it truly needed. The detailer said it needed to be washed, clayed (needed clay twice actually!) compounded, polished and waxed. The car came out beautifully from the Diamond Detail and Tom easily agreed to pick-up the bill to make me happy. Tom was never difficult to deal with and agreeable to the end to please me, which he did. I'd glad he runs his business as such. It is my understanding that overspray can happen by a careless worker or just a tiny pinhole in the cover up process. Whichever it actually was I will never know. Unfortunately, I was the unlucky recipient. I had to wait a month before the detailer could -entirely- clean the overspray from my car because paint takes 30 days to truly set and cure. I am in the process of looking at Kelly's work for the first time. To their credit, the dents are invisible and the color match was as good as it gets. My paint is a white metallic, "three stage" process from the factory which is hard to duplicate at a body shop. It looks unnoticeable that the car was hit or painted. You'd have to be told it was painted and have insane attention to detail like me to notice it was even done. So, they do do good work I believe, you just have to check for overspray when completed.

They were absolutely wonderful. They did such a fantastic job everything was just wonderful. The painting was perfect. I was so impressed. I took some of their cards and handed them out. I was extremely satisfied and I would go back to them again. They offer a lifetime guarantee on their work. A light came on on my way home. I took it back and they said something wasn’t connected so they fixed it and I haven’t had a problem since. They were beyond top notch. If I could give them an A+ or better I would without a blink of an eye.

I went to Kelly's Body Shop this afternoon. I talked with Tom Kelly, Jr. and explained that the front bumper of my Toyota Camray was popping out of alignment with the front side panel. He explained that this was a fairly frequent problem. He went to take a look at the car and then gave me an estimate of $72.00 for parts and labor. Then he told me that I might not need to make the repair because he had reattached the bumper to the side panel with the existing clip (which I had tried to do without any success). He told me to drive it for a week and see if the fix would last. I'll give it a go and return if need be. A very professional, honest, and supportive interaction

I had to wait for quite a few weeks because the body shop was swamped with cars with hail damage.  I was given an appointment for weeks ahead, but the wait was worth it.  They did an excellent job.  They did go back to my insurance money to get $2,000 more dollars approved.  I don't know how the price compared to other places, but my insurance company spoke well of the place.  I had a $250 deductible which they discounted for me because I had a coupon.

Their service was excellent. The work they did to my car was done well and I would definitely recommend them. They were very fair on thier price. He was very upfront and broke down the prices of all of the services for me.

Everything was perfect except the paint color on the Highlander wasn't a perfect match. The highlander is kept outside and the original paint probably has faded. Kelly's staff were very professional and the building was neat and well maintained.. They provided the lowest quotes on both cars.

Am extremely pleased. Was presented with options to correct problem. Work was done on time and I am more than satisfied with the result. Although the repair was minor the people took the trouble to give the car a wipe down and even vacuumed the interior !!! Never expected that ! Am astonished ! Will use again and recommend to others.

While crossing a narrow one lane bridge in a Ford E-250 van I swiped the concrete abutment with the side cargo door hinges thereby bending them and causing the top of one of the doors to jut out.  That allowed rain to enter from the top of the door.  Tom Kelly said he was pretty sure the hinges could be bent back without replacing them, and the doors could be realigned.  I told him I would touch up the paint myself, but he offered his technician to do that for me if I brought the paint when I dropped the van off for repair.  The van is ten years old with 83,000 miles.  Bob Davidson's body shop wanted $4,600 to make one side look like new.  To even consider such a thing would be fiscally irresponsible.  Kelly's does great work.  They are honest, and came highly recommended by three other people I know.  Tom Kelly is a pleasure to deal with and very professional as is the woman handling the office affairs.

Have used Kelly's before for other repairs and have never been disappointed.  As a matter of fact, I was referred to a place in Parkville by an insurance company for this repair, but after looking on Angie's list and reading a negative review, I declined to have the repair done there, just got the estimate, and then took it to Kelly's.  You will not be disappointed in their service!!!
