Getting an appointment with the planner was difficult to schedule since they are very busy. Harvey was knowledgeable and efficient.
The installers were punctual, polite and cleaned up after themselves. Only downside was that the counter top was a little long and they needed to cut into the sheet rock in order to install it. They did ask permission first and offered the alternative of cutting the counter top instead but I agreed to the former. We also had them remove the old counter top and install a new faucet.
The sub contractor for the counter top was M R Stone.

I visited Home Depot three times befor making the decision to select and order new interior doors for my condo. Patty was extremely helpful and patient. Some of my doorways are not standard and there were still many choices from which to select. The doors are in and a perfect fit. The quality is excellent and I am very pleased.

The service was not the problem. The 2 gentlemen that removed and installed the oven were on time, professional and knowledgable. Once the oven/range was in they gave me the opportunity to inspect the oven and there was no pressure to sign, so they could leave right away. My problem was at the store. I chose Home Depot due to the sale they were having at the time on appliances. The sales personnel were busy, but no one would acknowledge that i was waiting. But when others came up to ask only questions the personnel would take the time to answer their questions and/or direct them to their item in the store. Once a sales person was available he would take phone calls and take questions from other patrons. Since the ovens on display were not the one i was looking for, we used the computer to try and compare ovens. You couldn't see the picture very well on the computer. The sales person was not that knowledgable with electric ovens and he finally admitted (once i was at the register) that he was parttime and usually worked in designing kitchens. I had certain things i wanted in the oven, burns arranged in a certain way, light to each burner to indicate whether it was on or off. I didn't get exactly what i was looking for, but i guess that is my trade off for needing a new oven/range right after the holiday and having a budget. The oven works fine, but in hindsight i will go someplace where the personnel will be more attentive and knowledgable about their products.

I went to Home Depot & Kyle assisted me in picking out 2 Anderson windows, that were one piece & didn't open. My contractor went in the next day to order the 2 windows and found out Kyle suggested the lower quality window; the 200 series.
Christopher knew the products and ordered the 400 series. They were factory painted white with grille construction btween the glass. They are a high performance low-E4 glass.
My contractor installed them and added a sill for my candles. I'm gad he found the expert to assist him.

When you first go in they are so nice and they said the door would be in in three weeks, but it ended up being more than a month. After I had put the order in I had to get permission from my association to get this done and they were very unhappy with me that I did not come into the store to order right away. I knew that I could not do work until I had the written permission in my hand. I tried to explain all this to them up front at the very beginning when I was telling them the door I wanted. They paid no attention to that, the man called me and said that I needed to come in. I told him I had not yet received permission, but he was pushy and kept telling me I needed to come. He was very rude to me and I had to hang up on him. I had to actually call the manager of the store about them not understanding my position. He apologized and said that he would make sure I do not get any other calls, but all of that really upset me. I realized I should have gone to a door company, they would have been much more professional and known my situation. Home Depot was just ridiculous in the way they acted. As far as the door, it does look good and the installer did a good job, but who needs all that hassle before? Never again. They were the worst when it came to ordering but good with installation. The company that does the installation, I had a good experience with them. The two men who came, however, did not get along with each other and that was uncomfortable. I would not want them to do work for me anymore. They had scheduled for one day and they had a cancelation so they ended up coming early; they were punctual and did come on time.

The project was bad is every possible way. Every aspect of the project from their customer service, the quality of their work, their timeliness, their dependability, to their promises not matching their delivery was bad. Their subcontractors were bad. I give them a very poor grade to the point of failing them for everything. It was a very bad experience. I would certainly not use them for another contractor job in the future.

We originally purchased a LG Refrigerator from Home Depot in late May 2008. The refrigerator was placed into service in July 2008. In April 2009, the refrigerator completely died, A circuit board was blown out and perhaps the compressor was bad. LG could not find an appliance repair service willing to repair the refrigerator and it eventually took three weeks for LG to replace the refrigerator with a brand new refrigerator. My wife called Home Depot and spoke to Bobbi in the Appliance Sales Department. With company coming for the weekend and no refrigerator, Bobbii loaned us and delivered an apartment sized refrigerator for our use while the LG refrigerator was being replaced. After the LG refrigerator was eventually replaced, Bobbi came and picked up the loaner refrigerator at no cost to us. Since LG was not very responsive to our pleas for warranty service, Bobbi would call LG on our behalf and demand that they act on their warranty responsibilities. At one point, my wife had left four messages with Tasha, a supervisor at LG and could not get a return call. Bobbi, understanding our plight , called Tasha and told her as an employee of Home Depot she was extremely disappointed in the LG warranty service. My wife finally got a call back from Tasha within minutes of Bobbi speaking to Tasha.. In summary, we are extremely pleased with the way Bobbi and Home Depot stepped up to assist us in obtaining warranty service from LG. And the loaner refrigerator during our three weeks of need was greatly appreciated and far above the level of service you would expect from a retailer. If you are shopping for appliances in Home Depot in Cockeysville, ask for Bobbi or her supervisor Tami. They will give great service.

This project went so badly, it turned into a comedy of errors. Selecting the cabinets and arranging for the work went smoothly enough, but getting the work scheduled and performed was problematic, partially we think because we told HD's contractor that we could be flexible on the timing. This was interpreted to be they could do the work when totally convenient for them. The contract was signed the end of June and they were given access to the apartment the end of July. The work was not completed until late October. The cabinets were installed fine, but the door hardware did not arrive as it should have, so additional trips were required. The countertop was initially cut incorrectly and when redone (which took an additional two weeks) had inconsistent color. In addition to this, the contractor's workers had to come back several times to get the plumbing, dishwasher, and garbage disposal reinstalled properly.
