Stonesan Granite & Marble's owner, Kadir T. Muslu, came to my home, took measurements and gave me an estimate for the installation of a kitchen countertop and a backsplash. Mr. Muslu explained his educational background included training as a an Engineer, therefore precision was important to him. Lastly, I recall him stating he would personally install the countertop and backsplash. Prior to installation, I scheduled two meetings at Mr. Muslu's place of business between a friend of mine, Mr. Muslu and myself to select the actual countertop. One of the scheduled meetings involved my friend taking off from her job early and driving ninety (90) miles round trip to Mr. Muslu's store. On the day of the meeting, I called early in the morning to confirm the meeting for which we arrived several minutes early. Inexpicably and inexpiably as we drove into Stone-San's parking lot, Mr. Muslu walked out of his store, got into his truck and drove away sans the minimal courtesy of an explanation and completely missed the meeting. At no time thereafter, did Mr. Muslu apologise for the grave inconvience. The actual installation of the countertop was not performed by Mr. Kadir Muslu; but rather by his son, Musti Kadir, who along with his sister, Saadi Muslu, who frequently answers the store's phone were exceedlingly professional and polite. The backsplash also was not installed by Mr. Kadir Muslu; but rather by another family member. At the conclusion of the installation of the backsplash, I was presented with a $500 bill for the cost of installing the backsplash. At no time, prior to being handed the bill was I told there was a separate $500 cost for the installation of the backsplash, which denied me the opportunity to comparison shop. The failure to timely present the bill for the installation of the backsplash and the abrupt missing of a scheduled meeting were huge negatives to what otherwise a was a good business experience.
