They lost a customer with me. Never going to this greedy, shoddy, customer hating place again! I dropped off my machine several weeks ago and was given a quote. Got a call 4 days ago that I had 5 days to pick it up or I would be charged a storage fee. So I promptly go in and was hit with a $60 storage fee on top of my bill! They claim they called me on 11/28 to pick it up. NO ONE called to leave a message, much less talked to me in person as they claimed. PLUS, they claim they tried to email me as well. Never got the email notice either even tho it was clearly written on the ticket. The owner AND his staff were most discourteous and unprofessional. A little on the dumb side, too. I'd been to this shop many times over the last couple of years, and the owner rather lose the lifetime value of a customer over a measly $60. Never going back to Cllinton lawnmower again, and I advise you go at your own risk.

It all starts out 15 Nov when we dropped off the mower, with the impression it was simply a pull cord, which had been previously diagnosed. The representative told us it cost $35 for them to assess the equipment and determine the best course of action in terms of repairs and that would take 7-10 days, and they would get in touch with us. Well, a week goes by and we revisit to obtain a status because we haven't heard from them. When we got there Saturday morning they told us they assessed the equipment, and will order the part on Monday, and that the part should be there Tuesday IF they can get enter it in since its all on a first come first serve basis. Another week passes and I left for vacation. The following week I return and they contacted me to come in to further discuss. 3 weeks into the fiasco and they tell me the engine is dead. I then asked if they knew that when they took my money for a diagnosis. They said NO, you told us what the problem was, so we went off of what YOU said. I then inquired about the $35 fee we paid to diagnose the equipment and they couldn't respond. I quickly became upset, because the mower wasn't 4 months old, properly maintained and the pull cord was the only thing mentioned. I told them I wanted my mower back, and would pay for whatever piece they installed because their level of incompetence was highly frustrating. They refused to return my mower stating they wanted to take off the part I paid for and would give it to me afterwards. I asked them to put it in writing and I would pleasing comply. They refused to do that. The owner then began arguing with me stating he only did what we told him. The first error here was that I had never met the owner. The young gentleman we originally spoke with had not comprehension of the operation. The second person we spoke to told US what he found wrong which was the pull cord, the owner was now trying to swindle $220 out of us for a rebuilt/used machine in exchange for the mower we originally bought in, which was unacceptable. I spent $35 on the diagnosis which was never done, and $36 for a part. We are taking the mower to another establishment to see what they could have done wrong to our equipment.
