For the DC property, 2nd II None placed a tenant (in my former primary residence) without any screening and without advance notice to me. The tenant's income cannot afford the property and they stopped paying rent after the 2nd month. I terminated the management contract 2 months later (for poor service), and 6 months later 2nd II None still has not returned the tenant's security deposit to me. I am now in litigation with the company to get the tenant's money back, and Ms. Kenya Hunter (owner) is evading service. In addition, 2nd II None collected 2 months security deposit from the tenant "to protect my interest" because of the insufficient income, which I discovered is UNLAWFUL in DC. To add insult to injury, I am in the long eviction process in DC court because the tenant still cannot afford the rent and is delinquent, and that is despite enrolling in 2nd II None's "eviction protection program".
For the MD property, 2nd II None never even entered the property or contacted the tenants, yet they collected a management fee. Similarly, when the tenant was late with rent, they did nothing - I contacted the tenants, and the rent was paid. I was continuing to manage my own property AND pay 2nd II None to do nothing.
The worst company I have ever dealt with. I just can't believe this company is still in business but they are. To me professionalism is getting back to the customer, following up, and keeping your word and they haven't done that. They are very nice over the phone if and when you can get ahold of them. I would just caution to run as fast as you can from these folks. Hopefully this will help somebody else from having a bad time with them.
