I hired them despite their reviews, because when I spoke to the lady on the phone she sounded very genuine and caring. However, after I hired her, the truth came out. She sent out an agent to take pictures and produced an advertisement, which I think came out rather nice. Everything seemed to be going well, but they were not responding promptly to my attempts to contact them. Then they found someone who would take the house much sooner than I had planned to leave the house. That made me a little uncomfortable, since I wouldn't have a place to live for a few months. So, I tried repeatedly to let them know that this wasn't okay with me, but never even received an acknowledgement from them (email or phone). After that, I started to get fed up with the lack of communication, so I notified them that I was cancelling my service (both via phone message and email)... and got no response still. At that point I cut my losses. Luckily they do not charge you until there is a tenant in your house, so I was not out any money. They did waste a lot of my time, when I could have been marketing elsewhere. Good luck to you if you try this company, they just seem too flakey for my taste.
Description of Work: They are supposed to market your house, find a renter for you and then manage your property. They marketed my house, sorta found a renter possibility and then never responded to my emails / phone calls ever again.

The Owner Kenya Hunter was very prompt and helpful at the begining of the process but after the paper work is signed everything went down hill. The company put a tenant into my property without proper screening and without allowing me information and time to review the application prior to accepting the tenant. The tenant never paid rent and kept complaining about the rent being paid first before paying the rent. The management company is unresponsive and had huge turnover rate. When the tenants were finally evicted, the management company used the deposit money as "eviction" cost. All of my appliances turned up missing after the "eviction." I am from out of town and thought I could use the company I trust to handle my home properly but it was not at all. I had to purchase all new appliances for my home. STAY AWAY !!
Description of Work: Provided the most horrible property management in the world and causing huge financial losses

I had been managing my own properties for 3 years before hiring 2nd II None - and it was my first and worst experience with a property manager. I continue to pay the price. For the DC property, 2nd II None placed a tenant (in my former primary residence) without any screening and without advance notice to me. The tenant's income cannot afford the property and they stopped paying rent after the 2nd month. I terminated the management contract 2 months later (for poor service), and 6 months later 2nd II None still has not returned the tenant's security deposit to me. I am now in litigation with the company to get the tenant's money back, and Ms. Kenya Hunter (owner) is evading service. In addition, 2nd II None collected 2 months security deposit from the tenant "to protect my interest" because of the insufficient income, which I discovered is UNLAWFUL in DC. To add insult to injury, I am in the long eviction process in DC court because the tenant still cannot afford the rent and is delinquent, and that is despite enrolling in 2nd II None's "eviction protection program". For the MD property, 2nd II None never even entered the property or contacted the tenants, yet they collected a management fee. Similarly, when the tenant was late with rent, they did nothing - I contacted the tenants, and the rent was paid. I was continuing to manage my own property AND pay 2nd II None to do nothing.
Description of Work: 2nd II None was hired to (i) manage one tenant-occupied property in MD, and (ii) to place and manage a tenant at another property in DC.

We had the house rented, they managed it horribly. They wouldn't get back to me on simple questions like whether they had payed the rent. They would say they would get back to me, I would have to call them back, it would be ten days later and they still wouldn't know. The tenants there moved out in large part due to the management. They just wouldn't take any action. I ended up having to manage the property for them because I had to contact the tenant. Unfortunately I am still dealing with them because they haven't returned my property keys. I am in Illinois, they are in Maryland. I may have to buy a plane ticket just go get the keys. How does a company like this stay in business, it is beyond me. The worst company I have ever dealt with. I just can't believe this company is still in business but they are. To me professionalism is getting back to the customer, following up, and keeping your word and they haven't done that. They are very nice over the phone if and when you can get ahold of them. I would just caution to run as fast as you can from these folks. Hopefully this will help somebody else from having a bad time with them.
Description of Work: They managed a property. They are a real estate management company.

The company is a fraud. They placed a tenant in my property without any screening. The tenant is now 5 MONTHS past due on the rent and hasnt even been living there a full year yet. 2nd II None management has done nothing to try to pursue the tenant legally and will not answer my correspondence. So I had to incur the cost and time to pursue the tenant myself and will also have to pursue Kenya Hunter (the owner) in court to get the security deposit as well as other money the I am owed. I am currently waiting for the marshall service to evict the tenant. Anyone who rents in DC knows how much of a nightmare it is to evict someone. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
Description of Work: The company placed a tenant in my property in addition to managing the day to day logistics of the house.
