He came and poked around a little, and said that the issue might be this one part that was going to cost $1500 plus labor. This was even though he didn't see much evidence that it was actually that part. When he said that, I lost all trust in him and didn't allow him to run the $75 test (plus another $100 for the labor to do it) to see if that was the issue. After being at my house for 38 minutes, he sat in his car for 22 minutes "to do the paperwork" then came back at exactly one hour from arrival time and said he worked exactly an hour, then charged me $150. I got someone else to come out who said that it definitely wasn't that $1500 part and could tell just by looking at it. I could have gotten taken for a ride for $2000. Instead, calling them was a $150 mistake. I was disappointed because someone recommended another one of their workers to me. I don't do business with them again.

Our heat pump went down on 5/31. I called 10 different companies to come out and take a look. All of them said they could not get out before next week, unless of course I had a "service contract". Many said it would be two weeks. I called Merit-Air and left a message. Charles Minnick returned my call and showed up that day. He was prompt, courteous, and took the time to explain everything he was doing, and show me what was wrong. Luckily it wasn't a major problem and he had the unit fixed in 20 minutes. Good thing too,because by then, the inside temp of the house was nearing 90 degrees.
I would use this guy again in a heartbeat.

Our contact, Charles Minnick, with Merit-Air was very responsive and scheduled our work in a timely manner once the new unit was ordered and delivered. He is extremely knowledgable and takes the time to explain the details of the project. Everything was completed per schedule.

Charles was extremely responsive in every way. His pricing was very competitive compared to other contractors and we did not have to wait a week for service. I would highly recommend Merit-Air.
