I am extremely pleased with their service - not just the quality of work, but also the personal attention provided. One example: I have a family member who understands nothing about cars and can easily be taken advantage of, which another shop tried to do. When I was told what the other shop proposed, I said not to proceed and to go to Hillmuth. We were told that the *emergency service* the other shop recommended was nothing of the kind. Hillmuth addressed the service that actually needed to be done and saved us thousands of dollars. They also treated us with respect.

Routine maintenance was to be done but when Terry called to discuss the work to be performed he indicated that the bad news was that the rack and pinion steering was leaking and this needed to be replaced. He estimated the cost would be over $ 3000. Since we had not experienced any steering problems we were very surprised. We were able to make an appointment with the local Toyota dealer for the same week. On the Toyota dealers invoice it states: customer requests steering system inspection was told rack is leaking, complete steering and suspension inspection has been completed, no abnormal or worn parts detected vehicle is equipped with electronic steering, no P/S fluid utilized in this vehicle. Please note that we have been customers at Hillmuth with our other cars for over 10 years. We were happy to spend the $ 50 for the steering inspection at the Toyota dealer. It saved us over $ 3000 we would have incurred if we accepted Hillmuth's diagnosis. After this experience we won't be going to Hillmuth again.

They diagnosed the problem quickly and accurately and said the work would take about two days to complete. I was getting ready to leave on a trip and needed the work done before Ileft so they fit me into the schedule and got it done on time. They have always done the repair work on all our cars, so I left the next day for a several hundred mile drive with confidence, and the car ran perfectly well. The car is 12 years old but we have always done the maintenance with Hillmuth and it runs great.
