FC Frederick Contracting

Craig Frederick was one of four contractors that bid for our backyard patio project in 2013.  During the pricing and design discussions I learned that Craig had long experience in foundation and stone masonry working in commercial jobs.  I'm very particular about design, construction requirements and details and was very happy with all of the information and input provided during the decision cycle.  My wife and I looked at six FC Frederick jobs and thought that the materials and workmanship were excellent.
Construction phase was made easier by Craig's flexibility and communication.  The work proceeded as quickly as weather would allow and Craig was careful to keep the job site and yard clean.  We were very happy with the patio at the end of the project.
Craig was very prompt in answering follow-up questions and has also returned to clean up a few small mortar defects after a tough winter.

On the intial visit Craig came to our home and discussed the options with us. He came prepared with brochures of various faux stone products from different manufacturers. It was apparent to both my husband and myself that he is knowledgable in his trade. He had a quote in our email within 24 hours as we had agreed. The work commenced a day later than expected due to weather. It was the weekend before Easter and Craig assured us he would be completed and everything cleaned up in time for our Easter dinner. He met his goal and the fireplace was resurfaced and the area cleaned, as promised. The project was completed in 3 days and each day Craig and his staff of two worked diligently.

1. He protected any area vulnerable to the work, ie covered floors, furniture.
2. Resized the hearth and leveled
3. Placed stone over the existing red brick.
4. Applied mortar
5. Cleaned up
