LUCKY PAINTING

I’m going to hire Tony for the 4th time! The 1st time was about 25 years ago when he painted the entire inside of our home in Washington. He and his helper did a fantastic job. When he discovered a partially rotted window casement, he meticulously handcrafted a replacement and installed, primed and painted it so it looked like new. A few years later, when we moved into a 2,800 square-foot condominium in Arlington, he painted the entire place. Importantly, on all of the doors, cabinets and trim work, we had him use a white super high gloss paint, which if you’re not careful, shows every brush mark. Painfully exacting work for painters, but it’s gorgeous! About 15 years later, he painted a number of rooms in the condo again after a renovation. That work included stripping a wooden entranceway railing and stairs and staining all of it a darker color. Nothing he’s done for us over all these years has been anything less than perfect. And, as other reviewers have noted, he’s as friendly as can be and super high energy! His wife, who helps with the estimates, is a charming lady!

Tony Lee and his crew spent two days painting several wooden parts on the outer side of my house. The cost is well justified by their energy and the attention they placed on their work. The first day they scrubbed the surfaces that were to be painted and made several repairs to assure that the paint would adhere well to the surfaces. Then a coat of primer was applied to the surfaces. The next day they applied the paint, giving great attention to the smoothness of the paint and covered the surfaces thoroughly. I give my high recommendation for their work and I plan to have further painting done by Tony and his crew at other parts of my house.

Excellent in every way. I have hired several painters in the 40+ years in our house -- Tony Lee is without question the most professional. He and his assistant are attentive to every detail, with particular emphasis on careful prep before painting. They clearly would not settle for doing a less than perfect job. The price for the job was competitive with other estimates; I chose Tony because of his personable manner. I feel lucky to have found Lucky Painting.

Tony and his assistant Elvis did a fantastic job on the exterior of our 2-story colonial. They were very meticulous with every facet of our job including painting our screened-in porch and floor as well as all the shutters and window sashes of the house. Everything was cleaned up at the end of each day. It was without question the best job done our house in the 30 years we have owned it and at a very reasonable cost. Tony was friendly and easy to work with. He even cleaned out our gutters, swept leaves off a gently sloping portion of our roof, and replaced rotten wood with PVC at a very reasonable cost . I would highly recommend Lucky Painting and look forward to using Tony on future interior jobs.

Excellent service from start to finish. Tony (owner) and his wife came to the house for an estimate and then Tony and one assistant did all the work. The painting was very good and Tony's attention to detail and pride of workmanship shows in everything he does. He went "above and beyond" my expectations many times over. While the final price was higher than other estimates received, I went with Lucky's Painting based off of many neighbor's recommendations and I was not disappointed, feeling that I certainly got my money's worth. I was completely comfortable from start to finish of the project which was estimated to take a week (which was spot on) as Tony did a great job of keeping me informed of progress throughout. I would highly recommend Lucky Painting and will definitely use them again for future projects!

All of the work was outstanding. The owner (Tony Lee) works side-by-side with his crew. He is very skilled at both painting and carpentry, and a man of high integrity. His prices are also very competitive.

Tony Lee and his wife came out and gave us an estimate, which was accepted.  Tony (works alone) did excellent prep and handled minor unforeseen issues at no extra cost.  Quality of the work was superior in every respect. Total job took 2.5 days.

Very impressed with Tony Lee.   Home was in desperate need of painting.  Tony's workmanship is outstanding with attention to detail.  He is ethical, hard-working, respectful and a true professional in every sense of the word.  I would definately consider Tony Lee from Lucky Painting if you are in need of an excellent painter!

Tony has been painting my house for years and years, and I originally got his name from neighborhood friends who recommended him.  He, his son, and their assistant are meticulous, professional, and speedy.  After I leave a message, Tony's wife will usually call back to schedule an estimate.  Tony and his son arrive and walk through the job, then write up an estimate for the work, with a tentative start date, which is usually a couple of weeks later.  When they arrive, they take great care of everything--from removing their shoes when they come in the house, to gently and carefully tying back branches when they are working around the landscaping outside.  The paint job is precise and neat.  They were meticulous about priming and covering the knot holes that were beginning to show through the ceiling of the porch.  The house looks sparkling and new.  In the past, Tony has painted every inch of my house at least once, and he is a true professional and gentleman.
My next project is to wallpaper and add crown molding to the powder room.  Tony says he is able to do that work, and I have no doubt he will be skilled at that, too.  
I have recommended Tony to any and every friend who is looking for a quality painter.
