Yuri and his crew are fantastic! Honest, reliable, affordable, and they get it right the first time. I've had Yuri do check ups and fixes. He doesn't upcharge, he explains what he is doing and why, and he explains what fixes are needed. He's extremely knowledgeable as are the people that work for him! Any HVAC needs I have, Yuri is my only call!

Downstairs system was blowing hot this morning. Left Yuri a message, got a call back 15 minutes later for my address, they arrived 15 minutes after the call and they had my system fixed less than an hour after I first reached out. As usual it was a failed capacitor. I had the same issue on our smaller unit at our old house and was charged twice as much and was without AC for an entire day. They are also incredibly nice and great to talk to.

Yuri is very knowledgeable and dependable. He diagnosed the problem with my AC unit correctly. My unit was leaking lots of water and the fix he provided solved it. I will be hiring Yuri again for all my HVAC needs.

Yuri came promptly, and fixed the problem quickly. He knew just what to do, did it well, and for a more than fair price. Probably for a wholesale price, I would say! For my money, HVACR Intelligence is easily the way to go. I will be calling Yuri for all my HVAC needs. I trust him to do great work for an honest price. Experience was outstanding. During the sales call, he discussed all of our options to improve our existing system. He is very knowledgeable and no pressure tactics are used. A couple of days after we made our choice, Yuri and his setting performed the work in 1 day. Extremely happy with the results and the quality of work.

Yuri and team provided a quote for new system.  Their price was competitive and he did a good job of explaining various options and making a recommendation.  They were prompt and courteous, and the installation went smoothly.  We are extremely happy with the system installed.

He was able to install within a few days (2 days) after purchase.  He accommodated my urgency to install new system right away since it was a rental property and tenant were without AC in middle of summer.  The install took half a day to install and I have had no issues with unit.  Yuri even recently came by to due maintenance on my system a year later.  He is reliable and dependable. He provides fast and quality service. I would recommend him to family and friends.

I was referred to HVAC Intelligence through another terrific Angie's List plumbing contractor, Elite Service Plumber, Shawn C. I had gotten a detailed quote from another heating contractor and from a friend at church. The cost varied from 7K to almost 14K. With square footage to heat and cool, type of system, source of power, Yuri gave a rough quote that was thousands less. He called me, asked more questions, we exchanged emails w. photos (TIME-SAVER!) and then talked later for my final decision among the systems Yuri recommended. I did more internet research and based on cost, value, efficiency, made a choice. Yuri came by my home for the deposit for the system and to double-check the system that was in place and confirm his calculations. | |I signed the paperwork and we agreed on an installation date. The day of the installation, he was early. Yuri prefers to arrive early, very early, and be punctual and get started as soon as possible. | |He and his assistant, got to work by first laying dropcloths over all flooring that was needed to be walked on during the install process. Then, they worked quickly (during the second Polar Vortex) to remove the old heat pump and install the new heat pump. Not a minute was wasted and in about 6 hours, the new system was installed and functioning. Yuri did repeated post-install tests for pressure and air delivery. He noticed a slight drop in pressure and suggested that replacing the copper tube lines would be necessary to get 100% accuracy and efficiency with the new system. This was something that we discussed before he gave me a quote and it was something that we prepared for, if after installing the heat pump and inside air handler, there was any variation in the system. | |We made a date to replace the copper lines, at my convenience, so that I could have a drywall person available. | |Yuri is someone who is direct, believes his work is to help his customers through providing the best value in HVAC repair and replacements. What I really liked about working with Yuri was the networking the happened to find him as a result of Angie's List. Elite Service Plumber came to my home for an inspection and to repair one toilet, and ended up finding major and very urgent issues with my water main line in my basement. Knowing I needed a new HVAC, I told Elite Service that I could not address all the plumbing because of the cost to replace the HVAC. Elite Service uses HVAC Intelligence as his personal HVAC professional. One call and I was able to afford the plumbing work and the HVAC. Within seven days, I went from urgent plumbing needs in a 60 degree house, to a comfortable and safe home for LESS than what I had been quoted for the HVAC alone by another contractor. Called Yuri around 3PM once I found out that the furnace had stopped working. He was prompt and showed up at 5:30. He inspected the furnace and the pressure switch, explained me the problem was with the Air Cleaner system. He got the furnace backup and running in 15 minutes. I found Yuri to be very knowledgeable, reasonable and professional. I will definitely call him again for my HVAC needs. He also spent additional time explaining how the system works and provided tips on maintenance. Overall an A+ experience.

Yuri and his 3 man team arrived at 7:00 am and disconnected my 12 year old Heat Pump and Air Handler unit. Than they installed a new Bryant Heat Pump and Air Handler at my home on Saturday. Could not have gone better! This is the way to go to get your HVAC equipment installed properly.

Contractor was here on time and brought with him an assistant who he explained was training with him. He was thorough in his review of our furnace and took 5-10 minutes to explain to me what he did to ensure the furnace and humidifier were in good working order. He told me he doesnt sell service contracts just call him if we need him. Very pleasant, neat and professional. We have done business with this contractor before and had a similar experience.

Its very difficult to describe the focused interest in your needs when when working with Yuri and Eliana. They are both wonderful, hardworking and ensure they are installing the right technical solution for their customers with care, thoughtfulness and an economical price in mind. They go the extra mile, and I appreciated them seeing me on short notice and honoring the price they quoted me. In the end, some of the work took longer and required more materials than they estimated, however, they were true to their word which I sincerely valued.

Yuri was responsive and professional through our whole interaction. He was the first to get back to me after I contacted several HVAC companies with high ratings on Angie's list. He guided me through the process, did not try to up sell me to more expensive options, and responded to emails, calls, and texts quickly. I will use Yuri's company again in the future!

The service was okay. The technician (Walter) arrived on time and was very nice. Walter came in and set up his equipment and went right to work. Unfortunately though, I was not provided with much feedback at all regarding the process. I had to ask what his opinion was (i.e., how dirty) he found the ducts to be and if he found anything unusual. Also, I was under the impression that, at a minimum, some duct covers would have been removed in order the better access the ducts. Case in point, it wasn't until after he left that I noticed one of the metal and quot;slatsand quot; on our air intake screen/cover (located on the wall in our foyer) had been bent so that he could insert the nozzle of the high pressure hose.
So, in the end, I honestly don't know how effective his cleaning was. I was not shown any evidence and have to assume that most of my duct work is relatively clean. I will be looking for a different company next time.

Needed a total replacement of an OLD HVAC system in a small townhouse in Reston. Got out the big boys with big advertising budgets and was put off by high quotes and high pressure. Found HVAC/R Intelligence on Angie's List, and decided 'why not?'. Called Yuri one night expecting just to leave a voicemail, but got him and he walked me through my problems, listened carefully, and proposed a solution, a price, and a start date on the spot. No sales, no pressure, just trustworthy advice with a price that wasn't related to what the competition was doing. We agreed on an install date, he and his wife came over a few nights before at 8pm, we sat and chatted, and fixed the deal, I paid a 50% deposit. Two days later they turned p at exactly the agreed time, and they went at it. Instead of being finished by 4pm, they were done at 1pm, but sat and waited for me to come home at 4pm as we'd originally agreed. We walked through the system, and I noticed some extras they'd put in (simple things at no cost to them, but not even mentioned), and off they went with a check for the balance. Great job, and a friend for life, just like that. Money was actually secondary to the relationship building.
I got five companies to come out, look at this site, and quote the job. They all had lots of marketing guff and all that jazz, but I'd already explained what I wanted, what the system options were and so forth. Yuri and Elenia didn't worry about that stuff - look it up online, read reviews, they said. This is what you need, and it's all backed by industry-standard warranties. So I did all that, called the manufacturer, and got all the info I needed. But what sold me about Yuri is his confidence, his total LACK of hunger to 'close a deal', and his obvious trustworthiness.
We have recently done a complete renovation of our townhouse, so I've had my fair share of contractor experiences over the last 10 months - this was by far and away the best (and that's saying something, as I had a fantastic general contractor as well). I also did a lot of work myself, so I know what it's like. Do yourself a favor - call Yuri. You won't regret it. All communications are best carried by phone or in person - don't expect a cold-call email to go anywhere. Just call him!

WONDERFUL! You are crazy not to use this company! They are knowledgeable, prompt, courteous, honest, and don't try to upsell you. They were patient with my renters myriad of questions and with mine. :) They spent several hours at my home ensuring they didn't leave without getting all of our questions answered. To say they were thorough would be an understatement! It's rare to come across people of such integrity and honesty! I will use them again and recommend them to my family and friends. I've already scheduled an April check-up appointment!
Plus, they didn't charge my service call fee since they did the repair work. I never felt any pressure to make a decision I didn't understand or make a purchase. They were so competent and skilled, I felt at ease.
When it is time to replace my unit, I will definitely use them and you should too!

Yuri and his team diid a great job installing my new A/C and furnace. They were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and respectful.They were extremelly punctual and they stand behind their work. They also cleaned up beautifully. I highly recommend them for any HVAC.

Yuri Salas and his team are the best! I've worked with his company for 5+ years now. He's smart, honest, trustworthy, clean, respectful and treats each client by adhering to the golden rule. He's a gem. They do excellent complicated work for.a fair price, on time. He is a role model for the service industry. Over the years he's replaced and repaired mutliple systems and maintains them for us.
