This was the second time I hired Charlie's team to install surveillance cameras in my home. The first time was my initial install and the second time I needed additional cameras added. Charlie sent two of his best engineers to perform the install. At the time we were social distancing, and both engineers wore masks and were diligent about their safety and mine. The install went great, they accommodated my needs to have the cameras placed exactly where I wanted them. They minimized drywall damage (the second visit there wasn't any) and worked with me to angle the camera for best coverage. Charlie was very responsive and followed up after the job to make sure I was happy. If I need anything low voltage in the future CH Telco will be my first and only call.

I needed to have 3 cat6 network cables an 1 coax cable run between my living room and office. Total distance is about 35-40 feet on the same floor of my condo. Spoke to Charlie, who explained the process and pricing. Scheduled an appointment. Two tech arrived (both worse masks) on time and immediately began evaluating the job. They decided to route the cables via existing path through walls (so no new holes, etc. were needed). Total job took about 3.5 hours. They routed the cables through the kitchen and through a wall into the office. Cables were neatly tucked under the kitchen cabinets and secured along the baseboards in the office. They installed two wall plates with RJ45 and Coax jacks. Tested functionality. Also cleaned up any dust and debris. Total cost for materials, time, labor came to about $900. In retrospect, I should have provided my own cables and plates, as the cost-per-foot was high ($1/foot for cable). All in all, extremely happy. Would use again for future jobs!

Rick ( technician) was on point with the installation from start to finish. He relocated my coax drop from the living room to the office. Plus, added two data drops leading from the kitchen area to the basement communication cabinet. He tested the wiring after termination for signal connectivity to finalize the job. It went exceptionally well, I was worried they would need to notch every stud, but they managed to make it work with one thumb sized hole that they patched for me in my living room and then another hole in the ceiling of my basement that they covered with a small white blank wall plate. The rest of the job was done via my basement ceiling, all told it took them 2.5 hours. The price was a touch higher than I expected, but I am extremely happy with the quality of their work and would hire them again if needed.

He was not going to charge me anything, but I offered a payment anyway. He could have charged me hundreds of dollars to come out and do it, but instead he offered me the chance to do it myself, which was pretty easy in this case, because his help was so great. I am very pleased with Ch-Tel. I have two land line phone numbers and the jacks had gone bad over the years. I initially contacted Charlie via e-mail with a question about the services he offered. He responded promptly and we discussed the project by phone. He was very thorough in explaining my options, how they could fix the jacks and even gave me an estimate for time and costs. His estimate was within a few dollars of the actual cost. Within a few days the technician came. After discussing what I wanted, Rick explained how he would correct the problem. Not only did he answer my questions thoroughly, he also gave me other important and helpful information. He worked quickly and the work was done exactly as I requested. Both Charlie and Rick are very friendly and pleasant and I very much appreciated working with them. I highly recommend Ch-Tel.

The CH-Tel rep came out right on time as scheduled, and quickly understood nature of the job and right away made helpful observations and got right to work. He located a couple other lines running to the house frame from the street that could also be clipped and removed. Very efficient, informative as he worked, and thorough. This is the second time we've hired CH-Tel and would highly recommend them to anyone seeking to resolve phone, internet, TV wiring issues in their home, or for new install jobs.

Rick arrived on time, listened to my explanation of the problem, then went about checking all my phone outlets and the exterior line into my home. He determined that the issue was an intermittent inside wiring problem and would require future rewiring to completely resolve it. I declined doing that at this time, but he was able to get the 2 previously non-working phones to get a dial tone again. However, he cautioned me that this problem could re-occur, so he showed me what to do if it happened again in order to be able to use all 4 phones in our home. He spent about 1.25 hours on this situation and tried his best to resolve my phone problem. I was most impressed with how patiently he answered my questions and explained what he was doing and what I might need to do in the future. Although the 2 problem phones were working when he left (he had me listen for dial tones), soon afterwards that day, I lost dial tone again, but I followed his instructions and was successful in restoring all 4 phones to working order. If I decide to get new inside wiring, I won't hesitate to call C H Tel & TV Co. again.

Went flawlessly. Guys laddered high up to extract cables no longer needed, consolidate works into single cable and fasten to brickwork leaving a clean, attractive appearance. All in pouring rain. TL;DR version: CH Telco was very professional. They were able to route difficult cables from my basement to the second floor without need to cut any feeder holes. Their work was immaculate. Long Version: I wanted to wire my entire home with CAT 6 ethernet connected to a patch panel in my basement, and clean up some really shoddy cable wiring done by either a DIY'er or a cruddy cable company tech. I originally envisioned having 10-12 ethernet drops and 2 cable drops; however, after speaking with Charlie it sounded like this work would take two days and cost more than my wife and I had budgeted for. I was able to reduce the size of the job by doing some installation work myself--putting up the server rack and patch panel in my basement utility room--and limiting the scope of work to running drops from the basement to the second floor (so just 5 drops). I also bought my own Cat 6E on Amazon, and ran a few easy to set drops myself in the basement. Charlie and his team were very helpful and understanding, and offered some minor pointers to make sure any pre-work I did lined up with what they needed. They also used the Cat6 cable I purchased for their own runs (I do not recommend this for a novice, I did a lot of research on ethernet cable types. The reason they did this was because I had a lot of cable leftover. CH Telco is a time and materials company, so the savings by using my cable was just the material cost). Charlie's team was able to find the best route for my wiring--next to a return air vent--and did not have to cut any holes other than where the wires terminated as a result. They also cleaned up a mess of cat 6 and coaxial cables in my basement by neatly fastening and tucking them to a board I had mounted to my utility room wall. When they left everything was neat, tidy, and labeled. I would definitely hire CH tel co again if I needed to wire my home for ethernet or add coaxial cable runs.
