Tom and his team did 2 major projects for us.  Tom is very responsive, listened carefully to our description of what we wanted done, and he translated that into an outstanding design.  All work was performed at the time Tom promised (only exception was when the weather intervened), completion on schedule.  Excellent work ethic shown by all his team.  Cleaned up after themselves.
Since completion we have received no end of compliments about the finished look and workmanship.  Tom is a keeper - you can count on him.

The entire process was wonderful. Tom is a very trustworthy person and we felt extremely comfortable working with him. His crew is wonderful and we couldn't be any happier with our new outdoor living space. We felt like this was a significant financial investment and we are thrilled with the process and the results.

Outdoor Solutions, although pricey, was well worth it! Tom and his crew were professional in all regard...from his responsiveness when I initially called, the initial site survey, and the presentation of the plan, Tom was very thorough, responsive, and knowledgeable.
. Once started, Tom' crew was there every day. They are all full time employees who were very diligent and courteous, They cleaned up after themselves each night, and left the job site in good order,

The work turned out really great! Tom Powel was very responsive. He came out, took measurements. He closely listened to what we liked and then made suggestions. He was very aware of what would look like great on the property and work around what we already had to incorporate new idea. I thought that was exceptional! He also paid very careful attention to our budget and time frame. He did a wonderful job.

The work is beautiful! I worked closely with the owner, Thomas Powel. They were personable and clean. They completed the work in a speedy manner. Even though the cost was expensive, I don’t regret spending a penny. We are considering hiring them in the Spring for additional work.

We truly cannot say enough good things about Tom and his crew. Tom repeatedly came to our house during the design phase to ensure that the final product was exactly what we had envisioned. He made several great suggestions during the process. He responded to phone calls and emails. He was always punctual. In order to finish the job in time for an event that was held at our home, Tom and his crew needed to start on July 17th. The job started on July 17th and continued through the hottest period of this summer. They worked diligently regardless of the frequently oppressive heat.
They took great care in accessing our property (through our neighbor' yard), creating as little disruption as possible. We have dogs - they were always cognizant to replace the fence each evening so that I wouldn't have to worry about dogs escaping. Upon completion of the job, Tom and his crew graded the area that had served as the staging area, seeded it and then covered it with hay.
The finished product is truly amazing - it is everything we had hoped and beyond. The quality of the workmanship is evident throughout the project. Everyone who has seen it is in awe. It was a very big undertaking and I'm sure taxed Tom throughout the process but he delivered exactly what we wanted, he delivered it on time and he delivered it as it was originally budgeted. We firmly believe we could not
have found a better contractor for this job. We highly recommend Tom Powel and Outdoor Additions.

It is still in progress, due to rain delay.  They started on Thursday 5/9 and should completed 5/14.  They have arrived promptly and 8 am each morning and have kept the work area clean and presentable, considering how much work is going on.  So far it is as I envisioned and I cannot wait for the completed project.

Tom was always on time for appointments, and made 4 trips to our home BEFORE we actually signed the contract!  We thought the patio design would be difficult because we only had a vague idea of what we wanted.  Somehow, Tom turned our "vague idea" into a beautiful design.
The design was approriate for our home, our neighborhood, and our budget.  Tom was very clear about costs, and gave us several pricing options for each part of the design.  The patio just fits perfectly onto our home, as if it had been built at the same time. The front walkway and front step are beautiful, and perfect for our home.
During the project, Tom had a few additional suggestions that increased the cost, but was very clear about the details, and we felt no pressure to include them.  But, we're glad we took his suggestions and are very happy with the results! 
An added bonus: Per our request, they put the dirt in several places in our yard that needed to be built up---and graded it! 
Our patio includes a roof overhang. Tom worked closely with Kiser and Sons Construction, for this part of the project. I'll do a separate review for Kiser.  The overhang is an extension of the roof, and looks like it was built with the house.  Coordination between the 2 companies was very impressive, and the project was never held up waiting for one or the other. 
Tom will warn you about this, but we can add to the warning: Your yard will be a major construction site. It will be a mess. You have no idea how much equipment they use, and how much they have to dig up for a patio and/or walkway.  If the work is near the entrance to your house it will be very dirty and muddy. Your dogs will be very muddy. Not a good time to have company or any other event at your home while this is going on. 
We are very happy with the work, and would definitely hire Outdoor Additions again.

Tom and his team were responsive, punctual, always available to answer questions, worked hard to determine how we wanted to use the property BEFORE designing our large backyard patio, and left us more than satisfied.  I couldn't be more pleased with the work, and can't wait for spring so we can do more with this company.

Tom and his crew were excellent.  They went out of their way to make sure we were satisified.  During the work Tom actually went away for a few days and we had a question and emailed Tom.  The crew supervisor called back within a few minutes.  They were happy to make any changes we wanted even when the work was completed

Tom and his guys were great!  From the minute I contacted Tom for an estimate to the minute he finished the job, he was always kind, courteous and very professional!!! He had great suggestions and ultimately came up with a patio design that worked perfectly.  The guys were on time every morning and Tom came by everyday to ensure the project was going as planned.  Tom stayed in regular contact with us to make sure we were happy and/or we had any concerns or issues (we never did!).  My patio looks amazing and Outdoor Additions truly exceeded my expectations and will be back to do some additional work this fall.

It was an awesome experience! He thoroughly explained everything. He showed all the materials and explained were things should go. He also showed me ways to save money on the project. They were efficient, clean, pleasant, and respectful.  I enjoyed everyone who worked on the project.  I would recommend their services and I continue to tell everyone about the great work.

My father was a contractor, so I grew up in the remodeling business. As an adult, I have redone eight houses myself. I have worked with numerous contractors throughout the years, but never have I met one more professional, more technically capable and efficient, kinder or more honest than Mr. Powell. One of the biggest issues in dealing with contractors is punctuality, being where he/she is supposed to be at the appointed time. I was extremely impressed with Outdoors Additions in that respect. If Mr. Powell said that he and or the crew would be at my home on a particular day, they were there AND they were there at the scheduled time. Outdoor Additions was very respectful of my time/schedule. Unfortunately, that is rare among contractors in general. I was also impressed with the crew that worked with and for Mr. Powell/Outdoors Additions. I could not have asked for more polite or harder working young men. They understood the requirements of the job, knew how to use the equipment and materials necessary and worked tirelessly to complete the project on time. At the same time, they always took a moment or two to pet or throw the ball for my German Shepherd who, given any opportunity, would pestered them relentlessly. These young men are terrific guys! Mr. Powell and the crew checked in with me as they worked through each step of the projects. They handled questions and concerns and the inevitable change orders with technical skill/knowledge and good humor. Should I have any other hardscape projects, I will most definitely use Outdoor Additions again. I will also recommend Mr. Powell and his crew to anyone who is interested in a hardscape project. I consider myself very fortunate to have found Outdoor Additions for my project!

I cannot speak highly enough of this company. The owner is down to earth and fair in all his dealings. He did a fabulous job and was very customer-oriented. He kept me apprised of what he was doing every step of the way and was very communicative. The owner is on site at the job extremely frequently (probably daily for my job), but his crew is so so good. They work very hard whether or not the owner is there. For this job, Outdoor Additions had to work with my pool company, and the pool company also spoke very highly of their interactions. I always felt that if I had a question or problem, that I had no hesitation in raising it. Fortunately, the only problem we actually had was bad weather . . .and I think the owner felt worse than I did about the delay. In December, some bad weather was to be expected - - and I was grateful that Outdoor Additions refused to compromise the quality of the end result by proceeding ahead on days where it was not advisable.

It went well. Tom is really good at communicating. I really appreciated that. He kept me on top of everything.
