Mortons Appliance has been working in and servicing the residents of Kent County and the surrounding area for over 30 years. The company was started in 1981 by owner and operator Moe Morton. Mortons Appliance specialize's in maintenance and repair's on all major brands. We offer friendly service and can usually provide same day repairs on all your household appliances.

Some difficulty in initially contacting the business. multiple telephone number are listed. Once we found the best number , everything fell into place. Only issue: Preplacement part was ordered in the wrong color and had to be re-ordered, so the repair was delayed by a number of additional days. Not sure who should take the fall for part fiasco.

I had a great experience with Moe. He was very pleasant on the phone and came when he said he would. He took great care and diagnosed the problem within minutes. He had to order the part, not a common thermal fuse. Once the part came in he had another tech come and install it.

He was a half hour early and did the necessary repairs in about 30 minutes. He charged $85 for the service call and about $43 for the relay. He was professional, friendly, and knew what he was doing. He was honest and said if further problems develop that I may need a new refrigerator rather than additional repairs or parts which may not be cost effective.
So far, so good! Fridge and freezer are working fine.
I would definitely call him again with any appliance problems.

The service man showed up on time, listened to my explanation, checked the refrigerator and knew exactly what to do. He had to order the part (a refrigerator coil heater) from a local warehouse which took a day but he came back the next day, installed the part and we were back in business.
I could not have figured out this problem on my own. I did save a little money by defrosting the coils myself. The repair guy was all about getting the job done and was flexible on who-did-what. I consider that a strong plus.
Would definitely call these guys again if I develop another problem with a large appliance.
