I would not hire or pass their name on to nobody else.

I had to take them to court to get some of my money back. I wouldn't let them build a dog house for my dog I don't have.

Oh I did get a large judgment against them. By the way the people with the other review, I see they were having their work done at the same time. That's why they were having LOUSY time with their project. They were trying to do to much at one time. Which showed poor performance with the customers.

The way things started out was a precursor to the way this transaction would go.  There was some sort of miscommunication for the initial visit and no one showed up.  My husband met with Lenny to review the space and shortly thereafter I met with Norissa to discuss design options.  That went well and construction began.

We purchased many of our own materials and delays in getting the flooring materials held up the construction process; however, there were problems reaching Lenny & Norissa and getting return phone calls eventually became an impossibility (they would only respond to e-mails and response time was very slow).

Although the company was willing to do the work without going through the County inspection process, we decided that we wanted to have the inspection and approvals done.  I'm glad we did.

Once the construction process actually began, work had to be redone for one reason or another (usually because the county inspector didn't approve of something).  At one point, a contractor left some light bulbs in the house without telling us for what turned out to be an extended process.  It took a few months to deal with the problem and we cleaned up the area and the lights got thrown out (we thought they were part of the junk in a junk room).  So the contractor comes out and we can't install the lights because they aren't there, and the contractor (via Lenny & Norissa charged us to come out again).  We'd had the contractor come out once before because of concerns over the lights blowing out and overheating.  Another problem was with the flooring, some wires magically disappeared and we had to pay to have someone come out and open the floor to pull the wires. Other problems included doors being put on backward and having to be redone, the inspector had electrical covers reinstalled because the ones used were not up to code for the planned use, walls had to be reopened because the light switches weren't put in the right place, etc.

In any case, the work is finally done.  It took us at least 2 weeks to get a response for Lenny or Norissa to our request to have the County inspector to come out do a final inspection.  Phone calls, as usual, were not returned so we waited for an e-mail response.  Norissa told me, via e-mail, that she would not be able to accompany the inspector but did give me the date and time range he would come out.  Fifteen minutes after the inspector left, Norissa shows up at my door asking if the inspector had left.  When I informed her that everything was done, she requested the payment of the $200 balance which we had agreed to withhold until after the inspection was complete, keep in mind, we'd already paid them thousands of dollars in a timely manner.

We didn't have a problem paying them, we had a problem with not having phone calls or e-mails returned.  Now we are waiting for a final invoice so that we have papers documenting that they've been paid.

We selected Lenny & Norissa after seeing a neighbor's media room that they'd completed.  The room was absolutely beautiful and our room is gorgeous as well but I would never use this group again.  I feel that they were slow and unresponsive and I didn't like that the inspector had to come out so many times and found problems with things not being up to code.  The other couple seemed to be pleased with their work, so I would say to use these guys at your own risk (and insist on inspections).
