I recently had a composite deck completed by Chesapeake Home Improvement Group, Inc. This was definitely one of the most “stress free”home improvement projects I have ever experienced. I attribute this to the ongoing communication and high level of professionalism they exhibited throughout the project.

Roofing was not completed properly. Now I have thousands of dollars in damage to my house. Extremely unprofessional in how they are handling the situation.

"UPDATE-10/5/21 spoke with Angi (HomeAdvisor) rep to request pulling this review. Unfortunately, I had to jump thru more hoops than with the Better Business Bureau so I've decided to let the BBB investigation speak for itself. We hope anyone reading this complaint will visit the BBB website for full threads of emails including our request for arbitration & the request for Mr Ps insurance paperwork. We believe our reputation, our 4.7-star rating on HomeAdvisor (prior to Mr. Ps rating), and our A+ rating with the BBB will be proof enough. 10/1/21 RECEIVED FROM BBB- Following our BBB® policy, we notified the consumer of your response and requested that they provide confirmation as to whether or not their concerns had been satisfactorily resolved. The consumer responded that their concerns were not satisfied, however, BBB has determined that there is insufficient evidence to pursue the case any further based on one or more of the following reasons: *Your reasonable attention to the issue(s), *Documentation provided to support your position, *Your willingness to work with the consumer in an attempt to reach an acceptable resolution, *Your explanation as to why the consumer's request cannot be granted, and/or *Your willingness to participate in BBB mediation or arbitration Therefore, we have closed the case as "Answered." This is a positive disposition for your business and should not negatively impact your rating with BBB."

Deck took over a month to complete just repairs. Constant schedule delays and communication could of been better.

"We did explain that between our schedule and the weather, we were very busy and I repeatedly apologized for the inconvenience and thanked him for his patience; however, according to the date on the signed contract and the date we picked up our final draw, it was more like 2 weeks, but he is correct- it did take longer than we thought because we wanted it to be done right. It was more involved than originally anticipated. My last communication with Mr Kelley was to ask him if he was satisfied with our work and his response was "the deck looks great" Mr Kelley made no unsatisfactory remarks during the construction/ repair and said it was more than he expected."

The project was well planned ahead of time and carried out. We are thankful we went with this company as the other companies we called never even considered how they would complete the challenging areas. The workmanship is PERFECT. Our overall experience with Chesapeake Home Improvement was very positive. Quality -- The QUALITY IS TOP NOTCH..!! Even my (Engineer) father-in-law was highly impressed..!! Professional & Courteous -- The crew of Dave & Keith were always polite and willing to explain everything they were doing. Customer Service - - Dave was willing to modify the design (a couple of times) to suit our needs. He discussed alternatives to help us make the best decisions based his input. Dave will always take your call or return your call the same day. Timing -- The multi-level deck was built within the time Dave estimated. Investment -- Chesapeake Home Improvement will give you a competitive quote. It probably will not be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and you WILL get quality work. I am not quick or comfortable giving recommendations; however, in the case of Chesapeake Home Improvement I will make an exception. We truly enjoy working with Dave Gordon and his guys, Dave & Keith. We will absolutely call them back for our next project.

Hired to replace our deck and stairs with new lumber. Dave and Keith are were very professional in their approach to the job. Their quality of work and demeanor met or exceeded my high expectations as to who I hire to work on my home. These two gentlemen completed the project on time and left a clean work site. Chesapeake Home Improvement and Dave Gordon are now my first call for any future projects.

The main roof for the house came out great! I do, however have two sections, eyebrows or catwalks on the side of the house that didn't come out all that well. After going over the areas that I was concerned with, Dave Gordon fixed the issues no questions asked and now I am 100% satisfied with the job.
