HORRIBLE TEST DRIVE EXPERIENCE I scheduled a test drive for today with the internet sales manager. I had emailed him several times over the last week and specified very clearly the model I was interested in. When I arrived, I met him, who arranged for a rep to set up the test drive. We sat down at the representative's desk, who informed us that no cars of that particular trim were available for test drive. He asked me whether or not I'd be interested in test driving a different trim and I said, "No," since as a buyer, I'd like to know exactly what I will be buying. He then said he would "go back into the key box" and see if he could find me a model of the same trim on the lot. He indicated that he had a model with the same trim (waving the keys at us) and that he'd be back with the car. 10 minutes later, he walks into the manager's office and engages in a heated discusson with the manager. The manager (I believe his name was Don) walks out and says, "The last model with that trim rolled out last night. We have another model here that is in the shop getting scrapes on the bumper fixed. My question to you is what kind of equipment are you looking to get for this vehicle?" I replied that I wanted to drive the trim that I had requested (Subaru Outback Limited) and that it was clear to me that no such trim was available at the dealership. I also politely expressed my frustration that Jason had arranged a test drive without checking to see whether there would be Subarus of the same trim on the lot. I told the manager that I felt as if my time were completely wasted. The manager, without a beat, said that my time was not wasted - he did not acknowledge my frustration in any way, and not once did he say "I'm sorry that the trim you requested is not available for a test drive today." Message to Russel Subaru: If you schedule a test drive with a customer in advance - and the customer specifies the make, model and trim of what he/she wants to buy - then make sure you have that trim available when the customer comes in to do the test drive. If you don't have the trim available, APOLOGIZE and reschedule. The Subaru manager I dealt with today needs to learn two words - "I'm sorry." I bought my first Subaru at Russel 10 years ago - and it will now be the last Subaru I buy from Russel.

They are the worst. They were supposed to fix my door and didn't fix it correctly, it's falling apart still. I will not go back to them.

They are great. If I have any problems, they will fix it right away. Once the service is done, they do simple vacuum inside and also a car wash. They also take to explain an major issues that I had in the past as well. They are also reasonably priced with their work. They quotes are very detailed as well. I do not feel like they push towards more work. Overall, I have been very satisfied. Also they are flexible with scheduling and have a nice waiting area.

The guys from Russel Subaru are exceptional. I can call one day and ask them if I can get my car in tomorrow and they can always fit me in. They are always professional. They do the job done very quickly. It's just done quicker as what they say. They will also inspect it if there's something wrong and will give me an estimate. They are not pushy about things. They always wash and vacuum your car when you're done. They are always very friendly.

Russel Subaru is my car dealer and I transact with them all the time. I've been going to them for about 18 years. I can't say anything bad about Russel. These guys are great. I take all my Subarus back for service to them. They're top notch in every way. They're five star. If I could give them six, I would. They explain things in a way that I can understand exactly what's needed. They do everything right, to where I don't have to bring anything back. They're very particular about how they do it. They're very thorough and comprehensive. They don't suggest things that I might not need. They're not trying to snow me or anything else. I'm very confident, that if they say I need something, I truly need it. I have to go back there for warranty work and I never have to worry. If something's out of warrant, and it's within reason, they take care of it. They really believe in building customers for lifetimes. Their sales department and their service department, they don't just want to sell you one car and then you never come back. They want to be able to sell you cars, and service your cars, for life. They don't seem to be driven by bottom line and profits. They are a big dealership, but everything is run with the same level of integrity. They always do a follow-up, to check with customers about their experience. They're very responsive. Usually, going in, I know how long they're going to take and how long I'm going to be without a car.

I just think that they are very good. They send me coupons in the mail. They follow up with a letter afterwards. I like them because it is the only deal with one make of car. I just know that there are a lot of private garages who would charge a lot more than what they would.

I had done my research so I knew what a "good" price was and I was very open about the information I had. I took a test drive and liked the car. I couldn't resist the price they offered me provideing I buy the car on the spot. It was a great deal and I am very pleased with the car.

This was a great experience and they gave me a reasonable deal. The service is always excellent. They provide a shuttle to and from work, which is helpful.
