I recently had an emergency electrical issue at my home, and I can't recommend JJ Palmer Electrical Service highly enough. The power was flickering throughout the house, my thermostat was fried, and I had no heat—a truly stressful situation. JJ responded incredibly quickly, arriving with a friendly demeanor and a professional approach. He worked diligently for nearly three hours to diagnose the problem, ultimately discovering that the issue stemmed from the power supply coming from the pole. Without any prompting, JJ took the initiative to call BGE and clearly explained the problem to them in a way I never could have. Amazingly, BGE arrived while JJ was still on-site, and he collaborated seamlessly with their technician until the issue was fully resolved. Overall I'm happy with the work. I received the estimate quickly and the work started within a week. I chose MHIC because it was the lowest cost estimate. The overall finished project is fine, but the quality on the taping/spackling could be a little better, I didn't notice until I started to paint the area that there were divots/issues (and I haven't asked MHIC to fix it.) While the project started quickly, I was frustrated with the how the day-to-day timing worked out...and that there was basically one person doing most of the work and that he didn't always have the supplies needed for the day's work.

Work was done punctually and professionally. However, the price was too high, except for the stair refinishing -- that was done well and priced according to competitive bids.

Provider constructed a Deck at the rear of my home that consisted of Composite (Trex) wood, Electrical light fixtures, Stair Well, and some painting to exterior areas. 

Provider constructed a Wet Bar in the finished part of the basement.  The job consisted of Ceramic Tile floor installation,  electrical, plumbing, cabinet installation including accessories, and Granite Counter tops.  Provider also installed the electrical appliances.

Provider installed six (6) ceiling fans to the interior of the house.  This job consisted of all labor intensive electrical work.

Provider constructed a large wooden Shelf to the interior of the garage area.  The wooden shelf sits above the parked cars and serves as extra storage space.

All work provided by this Contractor is excellent and I would recommend MHIC to anyone needing home improvement and or remodeling services.

I worked with the handyman and we were able to accomplish all the tasks in a remarkable short time--4hours!  this was quite a relief for me as these things had been bothering me for some time. I am quite pleased with the results. The handyman had tools that I did not and greater skills. At the same time, tasks that were more complicated or required following written directions were sometimes a problem. For example, the medicine cabinet required a bit of assembly and the handyman thought the shelves somehow belonged on the sides.

JJ did a great job on our basement renovation.  He and his crew were very professional and easy to work with.  They kept my house clean, stuck to the plan, and stayed within budget.  My wife and I are very satisfied with the work that was done and are enjoying our new basement.

Great.  We had 3 ceiling fans installed, replaced three flush mount ceiling lights, had a new outlet installed, and had a GFCI installed.  It took a total of 11 hours and we very happy with the work that was done.

It went excellent. They knew what they were doing, worked hard, cleaned up well, and did a good job. I was very impressed and would use them again.

Showed up as scheduled and got right to work. Although JJ and his talented assistant had never done this particular installation before they read the instructions and figured it out as they went. They were very respectful of my home, working cleanly and cleaning up any debris that was unavoidable. Cutting holes in the ceiling can be pretty messy but they brought their own tarps and even re-covered areas I had pre-covered. The sun tunnels look great and work amazingly well. The ceiling they repaired also looks good. I am so pleased that I have requested a quote on a kitchen remodel.

JJ installed a shower door for us.  The shower was 1 inch out of plumb so the job was very difficult.
Everything turned out great!
