Kris returned my telephone call promptly. He was always Curtis and professional. He worked to schedule the earliest mutually available date. He arrived promptly. He fixed the damaged carpet and recommended replacing the patch taken from the closet with the damaged carpet. It is not visible and an extra service for the quoted price. He was fast; work was done well and quickly.

They drove all the way from Catonsville to us.  They were prompt, personable, efficient and offered extremely reasonable pricing.  They were pretty prompt with scheduling as well.

Kris did an excellent job. He was prompt, professional, friendly and thorough. I had two other contractors look at the work and they said the runs (2 runs, 4and quot; each) could not be repaired and the carpet had to be replaced. I was amazed that Kris could fix the runs so well that they are not even noticeable. The restretching makes the carpet look new again. It would have cost thousands of dollars to replace this much carpet. I was lucky to find Kris and learn that it was possible to repair, rather than replace, the carpet. I highly recommend him.

I am a Carpet 1st repeat customer, as I've always been most impressed with the professionalism and quality of their work. I used to work as a carpet cleaner myself as a college job, so I know quality work when I see it.
Carpet 1st promptly returned our call, and came when he said he would (after a much appreciated text to explain he would be about 30 minutes late due to a weather related issue). He provided an estimate, then proceeded to do the work. Aside from the exceptional level of courtesy, respect and professionalism, I appreciated the care and respect shown for my home. He placed protectors around all wall corners and furniture. Then he pre-vacuumed, and placed a barrier around the door opening to reduce loss of heat while he did the cleaning.
The cleaning itself worked wonders. I am a bit ashamed to say that my carpet was very overdue for a cleaning, but Carpet 1st did a great job of making the carpet look almost new.
I suspect you can find cheaper carpet cleaners, but I doubt you will find better.

I hired Carpet 1st to clean the rugs in my home. They did a good job but it was nothing earth shattering. The price was pretty steep for what was done but I guess I was wowed by the advertisement on their web site.
One thing that they advertise is and quot;Free Professional Carpet and Upholstery Spotter FOR LIFEand quot;. Well that is a joke and a down right blatant mis-representation. After I used the first bottle that they gave me when they originally cleaned my rugs, we called them at least 5 times trying to get another bottle. Kris never had the decency to return our calls, ever.
That's ok though because I will never be using them again. I don't hire people who don't live up to their commitments.

Arrived on time and provided detailed estimate. Vacuumed before cleaning rug. Curtious and professional. Excellent quality work. Cleaned all difficult stains from cat vomit. Carpet looks great.

Kris is very nice, always on time, and returns your calls. He did a very professional job and was very careful with my
belongings. I will use him again.

Carpet 1st is now my go-to company for carpet cleaning. I've used them in the past to have the carpet cleaned in the common areas of our condo building. On their latest visit, I used Carpet 1st when I moved to a new-to-me single family home. The previous owner had a cat and I was very nervious about all the carpeted surfaces since I am highly allergic to cats. Kris at Carpet 1st did a fantastic job of eleminating all traces of pet in the house. In addition, we were dealing with an extremely tight time frame since after settling on the house one day, the movers were expected the next. Kris was there waiting at the house after we were done at settlement and had all the carpets looking fantastic in a couple our hours. I really appreciate his professionalism and no pressure discussion of their services. I really wish all the contractors I have to deal with were this easy. Can't go wrong by using Carpet 1st and I won't use anyone else in the future!

Have had carpeting cleaned at least twice before and have never been totally satisfied with end result. Kris Sokalski arrived as promised and after a preview of the work needing done, he provided a written estimate with my choice of service packs 1 or 2. After making my choice, Kris got started preparing the areas indicated for cleaning. Kris moved all the furniture, put down wall corner protectors and leg protectors on all furniture. He then proceeded to start the cleaning process taking his time to insure all stains were removed and areas thoroughly cleaned. I was impressd with his attention to detail as well as all of his efforts to protect my furnishing. I will most certainly contact him agagin when I am in need of carpet cleaning.

I can not say enough nice things about Kris, who is the owner and operator of this business. He has a great deal of business integrity, in that he is honest about the work you truly need done and the price quote you receive, which is quite competitive. We had to reschedule my initial appointment due to a back injury he sustained, but he discounted my rescheduled visit by 10%, which was a great savings and I only had to wait one more week. He got all of the stains out of our carpet and the finished product looked brand new and much softer. I have to comment on my main concern, of my carpet, which was the odor removal of dog urine, as we have 3 dogs. He stated that he would be able to remove approximately 75% of the smell, which he absolutely did. Our basement smells so much better and the urine smell is very faint (you have to put your nose in the carpet to even detect the faint smell). My husband and I were very pleased and plan to use his services again. As an added bonus, he even cleaned our stairs on his way out the door at no added cost. That was a huge benefit as they were quite dirty and my husband and I are always battling them to keep them clean. Overall, it was such a pleasant experience and it's comforting to know that their are still business owners with such great focus on customer care and service.

They arrived promptly when expected. They used a truck-mounted steam cleaning unit that left the carpets nice and clean but not too wet. Very professional. Excellent job done.

They did a very good and thorough job. The only thing I did notice was the price being a little high.

From the very first contact, he was professional and upbeat. He came, provided and estimate and did the work the very same day.

It was a big job. He's conscientious of the furniture. He's thorough. We have cats so any spots on the carpet he does first. He puts the furniture up on foam stands so water doesn't get on the furniture. He doesn't raise big things like beds but he works around those carefully. I've been overall very satisfied with him. He has also done my sofa and chairs. He's very courteous and careful. I think they are a little more than others. When he was not able to do it one time because of a family situation, he called and recommended someone else. I appreciated having another number to call but that person didn't turn out to be as good but he didn't know them - he was just recommending them. It was nice to have another number to call though.

Their price was a little high but they did a good job. I've never had my carpets look this good after being cleaned.

I contacted Kris of Capet 1st back near the end of April and asked for an estimate for my Mother's house. I knew I would not be in town so I wanted to make sure my Mom would not be taken advantage of. I know the elderly, especially women, are often taken advantage of and are sold packages that they did not need or were they even sure what they were signing up for. Angies list helped me make the selection of Carpet 1st. My conversation with Kris was very good. I found him to be helpful, professional, friendly and courteous. I asked him to do and estimate for my Mom and she was very complimentary of Kris. He was timely and helpful, so I asked him to do the work. Kris exceeded any expectation I or my Mom had. He was timely, helpful and very courteous with my Mom. The quality of work was such I'd like to have him come to Florida and do all my carpets. During a time when there are so many out there trying to take advandage of the elderly and soak them for everything they have and do a poor job on top of this, Kris helped restore my faith a little. He is an exceptional person and that is reflected in his business approach of exceptional customer service. Thank you Kris and than you Angies list. I would recommend Carpet 1st to anyone and any job no matter how large or small.

Did an excellent job pre-treating stains and raking the entire carpet. All the stains came out and the carpets look like new. He left booties for the movers to wear the following weekend to help keep the carpets clean.

Kris did a much better job than I imagined would even be possible in cleaning my carpet. The area on the stairs is an obvious high traffic area that looks good as new and the heavily stained area in the one bedroom looks amazing. My expectations for removing this heavily soiled area weren't great, but when you look at it now you honestly can't tell it was even there. The 10% Angie's List discount he gives his Angie's List referrals is great. Overall, I would have to say that Kris has proven to me that he is the man to call for your best shot at removing a stain. The only mildly negative things I could possibly say is that the guy is busy so it took a little longer than I would have liked to find a mutually agreeable time to do the work. Kris was available in 2-3 days from the time I called, but it took over a week since my schedule was kind of busy once he was available in 2-3 days. Also, he arrived 15 minutes later than our agreed upon meeting time, but it sounded like there was an accident responsible for that. He apologized profusely for it. Kris is very courteous and professional in all aspects of his communications. His business is the kind that you want to find on Angie's List. I highly recommend this company, which from what I can tell just consists of one man who knows who to get dirt and stains out of carpets while being extremely respectful of your house (and wallet).

Excellent experience from start to finish. Kris arrived on time, worked promptly and efficiently. He was courteous and professional. He moved some large pieces of furniture and returned them all to their original locations, placing protective feet underneath so as not to stain the carpet. The carpet looks great, like new! Estimate was a little high and Kris and I came to a price that pleased us both. He vaccumed thoroughly and protected furniture and wall corners before beginning. Kris ws efficient and worked quickly with a minimum of conversation and left the house in good order. He managed to remove a couple of stains I had been unable to remove previously.The cleaner had a pleasant fragrance that was not offensive once he left.

After finding Kris on Angie's List I gave him a call to see if I could get an estimate for his services. He indicated that I could have just an estimate only or I could block out an amount of time for an estimate and the service itself. I chose the latter. On the day before Kris was to come to my home, he encountered a problem with his vehicle. He called me and told me that I could either take a later date or if my needs were urgent, he would refer me to another vendor in my area. He also informed me that since the cancellation was his fault, he would add an additional 10% discount on top of what I would receive through the list. Kris called both the day before and before heading out to confirm our appointment. He was prompt, professional and a pleasure to deal with. After explaining the services he was to provide, he also outlined some additional services. He did not pressure me to do those at all and I declined them. I have three pre-teen boys who have created a mess of certain areas of the carpet. By the time Kris was done, the carpet looked almost new. I was extremely pleased with the quality of the work performed and would use Kris again without hesitation.
