Pipes bursted and entire home had water damage. Marcus’ quick response and pointed plan of action left me with the confidence that his team could do the job. Marcus and his team are both professional and personable, which makes going through such a stressful situation just a bit easier. 80% of my drywall and 90% of flooring was affected by water damage and they were able to complete the job in less than two days. After they "finished" the job, Marcus reminded me to submit the remainder of my payment. I took a quick peek in the HVAC closet and saw that they had NOT replaced the sprinkler cover. My brother saw that FreshStep had also NOT removed the contaminated drywall over the door frame. Marcus apologized for the area he and his employee "missed" and offered to refund the deposit. They didn't "miss" the area, they just did NOT remove the drywall. I did not have the bandwidth to find another mold company. Marcus and another employee arrived on the agreed upon date and time. He replaced the sprinkler cover and removed and replaced the contaminated drywall but left a gaping hole on the side of the door frame and a much too wide hole around the sprinkler. It was my fault for hiring this company. I am now spending money to clean up this messy work. Should have stopped the job when I heard the first employee say, "man you don't live here" but it was getting cold and I needed this done. Be aware...

Marcus and his team were incredible! Went above and beyond to make sure our complicated remediation and drywall installation was done to our satisfaction. They were very responsive and flexible as we had to coordinate with other repair contractors. Great price and great work done - will definitely use them again if needed.

In June I noticed a mold problem in my basement apartment. I contacted FreshStep and was able to get an appointment within a week. Marcus Merritt, the owner of the company, arrived at the appointed time and spent about an hour removing all the mold and painting the affected area with drylock water proofing paint- Marcus was extremely knowledgable and professional, and explained the process thoroughly. It is such a relief that so far we have had no further mold issues - FreshStep gives a two year warrantee for their work which definitely is a bonus. I would highly recommend this company!

Drywall removed according to code, but replacement drywall has large gaps around sockets, especially, and a couple of windows. Baseboards were not replaced as originally planned. Although putting Would Hire Again, I would only do so with more direct supervision, which I was unable to do at this property.

I hired FreshStep LLC to remove mold from the unfinished area of my basement walls.  My initial meeting was with Marcus, who examined the area and explained the process to remove the mold.  Marcus was on time for our appointment and very professional.  After our meeting we scheduled a date for the work to be done.  Marcus and his crew did a great job removing the mold and also cleaning my furnace and vents.  He added extensions to the gutters in order for water to run away from the foundation of the house.   I would definitely recommend FreshStep LLC to anyone needing this type of service.

Marcus? team came out to do the duct cleaning work. The guys were very professional and courteous. Marcus identified some of the problems with our furnace and recommended we do deep cleaning and coil cleaning which we did. He explained everything in detail as well as showed us the problem areas. He was very knowledgeable in his field of service, and demonstrated pride in his work. Since then our system is working very efficiently and noticeably better. The equipment and overall Marcus and his team know what they are doing. We have done duct cleaning in our place, but after seeing the job being done and what comes out of the ducts we are convinced that this should be done once a year. We did our research and got multiple quotes before. At this time we are set on FreshStep and give them 5 stars.
