 + -1 moreCompares to a used car dealer. Says he is so backed up, has 1 tech, but still advertising for business, to include electronic billboards; and in ads infers that he has many techs. Doesn't stand behind his work. Basically threw $325.00 into the air to evaporate away.
Description of Work: Unit froze up and started to thaw resulting in water to the 1st floor. His tech came out and did cleaning on a new 2 yr old system that didn't need it, recharged system with 3lb refrigerant, that should have told you right there that there was a leak. Told tech to get me an estimate for a drain pan with water cut off switch, that was apparently supposed to have been installed by Peninsula Oil when they put the system in 2 years ago, and to troubleshoot for the leak. Less than 2 weeks later froze up again, once again water drained thru the ceiling to the first floor. I shut the system down, son called to see where the estimate was, was told owner was working on it. never did receive that estimate. Have called another company from Western Shore to provide estimate, scheduled for next day.

 + -1 moreCan't say enough about Pliescott. These guys are knowledgeable, friendly yet professional, quick to respond to all calls and consistently on time. Regarding date and cost, above, Angie's list requires those to be filled in. However, I have scheduled Pliescott's on numerous occasions, both planned and emergency. Costs vary depending on the service. Reasonable is how I would characterize the invoices.
Description of Work: I use Pliescott for all my HVAC needs. They perform seasonally maintenance of my 4 units, respond to all emergencies rapidly, redirected venting system in rooms under renovation, etc.

 + -1 moreThis contractor came to the house to look at my current boiler and provide an estimate for converting from oil to natural gas. He was highly recommended, showed up on time, spent a good deal of time talking with us about options, and was courteous and interested in the project. However, almost two months have gone by with no word from him despite two attempts on my part to e-mail and request information. The front office confirmed receipt of my emails so I know we have the correct e-mail address. In the meantime, two other contractors came to look at the project and provided timely estimates within a week of their visits. I would not recommend Pliescott HVAC for your project if you need any timely estimates. I cannot comment on the quality of service because I did not use this contractor for any work.
