"Grade of products used were chosen by the homeowner. The issues with this homeowner surrounded the hardwood floors. They personally visited the the flooring store and chose the product based on the price they wanted to pay. After installation, they began complaining about the product and the contractor attempted to satisfy the homeowner and had the sub contractor replace several areas of flooring. After the homeowner damaged the floor by moving furniture across it and then making accusations that the product was delivered and installed that way, the contractor finally excused himself from the project. The homeowner also threatened sub contrators. At that time the yard could not be completed until the project was complete and due to the homeowners behavior and ordering contractor and sub contractors off of the project and witholding payment, the contractor was unable to return. Also the homeowner did not locate contractor from ANY website, but personally came to another job site he was working on. Unfortunately when changes occur within the project then change orders need to be done which at times increases the original proposal and all of these are done with the homeowners signing said change orders. Contractor has and continues to provide additional extras to homeowners at no additional cost at times to assist the homeowner depending on the extras desired. It should also be noted that these homeowners have caused these kind of issues with other contractors in the area then they withold final payments. This seems a pattern for these homeowners so they can get home improvement projects completed without paying for them. I have a great reputation with all of my homeowners and have had several repeat customers. I will provide any and all references to any prospective customer and can take them to past job sites to meet personally with past customers and see the quality of work performed."
