Awesome. Two separate jobs. Both went well.

Plumber arrived on time, was careful about masking and kept the work area clean. He fully explained the problem and described the new model he was installing. 11/21 Update: the sink is leaking again. Is it the disposal again or something else? Will call them back and see what happens.

After hiring Winegar approximately five times in the past to do basic plumbing projects, such as replacement of a toilet, garbage disposal, kitchen faucet and a basement water cut-off valve, we called them for an estimate on a larger job involving connecting a home to city water and sewer. A month has passed, and no estimate has been received, despite several attempts to contact them. Despite our satisfaction with the previous work, we now question whether we would hire them again, due to this lack of response. As a long-time home owner, I have no problem with a business that does not want to render a particular service; just tell me that upfront rather than slowing down my planning process by not responding. Bottom line: If you have a basic, garden-variety plumbing job, Winegar is fine, but think twice about hiring them for something more complicated. If I were rating them on previous work, I would give them five stars.

The plumber was able to make the repairs despite constricted space. All good quality.

It took 2 days for WH to response to my quote request via Angie’s List but after that it was smooth sailing. The tech arrived on time and was very knowledgeable, the sump pump busted pipe repair turned out to be more extensive than expected but was handled within the estimated timeframe & cost. The toilet repair was easy and fixed very quickly. Would hire again!!

Marcus rocks! Arrived on time, was courteous, mask work and ooh so knowledgeable and friendly. Finished within 40 minutes or so. Replaced dishwasher valve, repaired leaking trap, reinstalled new garbage disposal. Tested all items. Good, tight, no leaks = happy family AND, affordable. Would we hire this company again? Heck yeah, that's a now brainer.

The work was done the day after I called. Marcus showed up at the time promised and fixed the problem in just under an hour. The toilet was back in place, solidly attached, and freshly caulked. Everything was left clean and neat. Excellent and very professional work.

I used Winegar three times. The first time it was for a leaking shower valve that had given me continuous trouble for months and a bathroom toilet that would not stop flushing. Bernard fixed both problems during his hour-long visit for $205 plus parts. The second time was for a new bathroom faucet that needed to be properly installed. Bernard replaced some parts and also replaced the hot-side shut off valve, charging for 30 minutes ($123) plus parts. The third time I called was for a more serious problem: I could hear water running even when the house valve was turned off. WSSC decided the leak was on my property, so they were not responsible for fixing it, even though they warned they would cut off the water if it were not repaired within 30 days. Winegar's Jim Swingle came out two days later with a "skinny" colleague who worked his way through the cramped crawl space under the house to where the water pipe came up from the ground below the house shut-off valve. He quickly saw a half-inch hole in the pipe, probably made by an animal that had also torn off the pipe's insulation. The section of damaged pipe was promptly replaced and the problem was solved for a total of $425.

It's been a mixed experience. We have had two excellent installations (new toilets), but we also had two repairs that didn't go as well as expected. In both cases, a more thorough job was needed. The costs were very reasonable.

Great experience. I called on a Wednesday before a holiday weekend and they were able to squeeze me in before the weekend. The technician explained everything to me and did a great job with the installation and the final cost was less than the original estimate.

Terry and his team are fantastic and very professional. We had a complex heating issue which they were immediately able to diagnose. His team showed up on time and kept us in the loop throughout. Terry even followed up the next day to make sure everything was okay. I would hire them again.

Winegar Plumbing was fabulous. Using a camera, sonar, they were able to pinpoint exactly where the pipe was broken (another contractor couldn't find the leak and told us he charged by the foot for a pipe repair). Winegar gave a clear, detailed and firm estimate, and answered all of our questions. They dug a trench from the laundry room drain to the leak under the recreation room floor. There was a mountain of dirt, concrete, etc., but they put it all on plastic drop cloths. After they finished the repair and refilled the hole with dirt and fresh concrete, ALL of the debris was removed. Except for a little dust, the rooms were left absolutely clean. It was amazing Throughout they were cheerful, freindly, informative, and professional. They also gave us good advice on some other future repairs.

The gentleman came in and did a good job and he was on time. He was knowledgeable and professional. We would hire them again.

Excellent. Bernard cleared blockage (about 14' from sink), snaked remaining drain and replaced leaking trap assembly under sink.

Winegar completed more work for less money than I was quoted by a competitor, in fact, $2,000 LESS. The plumbers cut out a badly rusted faucet and installed my replacement. They replaced sections of copper pipe that had pinholes. It did take 3 trips to resolve these issues, but they were complicated. My only real downside is I still have a slight leak in a drainpipe that I do not think was there before. The plumber said that was due to a poor original installation by a plumber from years ago. Overall, I feel I got a good price for 3 complicated repairs.
