Jeremy Provan did an inspection for us when we were purchasing a house. Only hire this inspector if you don't care about the house that you are buying and if you don't mind paying thousands of dollars out of pocket to fix things that he should have caught. To make a long story short he completely missed the rotten flat roof. I walked out with him on this roof and specifically asked him about the roof. He said that we should do some preventative measures to ensure that there would not be any future damage. I asked him specifically if the roof was ok and he said yes it is fine. The day after we got the house there was a huge water stain on the ceiling. We called two roofers. They both said that the roof was completely rotten and it had to be completely replaced. I asked how the inspector could have missed this. The roofer said that the inspector was obviously incompetent and it will cost us thousands of dollars. Beware an inspector report is not worth the paper it is written on. They can miss anything and it is almost impossible to sue them. Never ever get an inspector from your real estate agent. An inspector is a necessary evil as you need it for a mortgage but please do not rely on it. It means absolutely nothing. Also call a roofer, electrcian etc. to actually inspect your house. I am sure that there are good inspectors out there but this one is the WORST! BEWARE!!! I might not be able to sue but I can warn other people so that they do not suffer the same harm.

Jeremy was recommended to me by my real estate agent to conduct the home inspection and radon test for the house I am buying. Jeremy was on time, respectful, personable and explained to me what he was finding. Then I received his home inspection report. This is the fourth property I have purchased and this was the first home inspection report I have understood the ramifications of the findngs. His well-written, easy to understand report with photographs and diagrams convinced the sellers to make all the fixes without question. It was a great experience.
