Needed a new head replaced but they refused to sell me one. I had the old broken head already removed an just needed to screw the new one on but they refused to sell me one even though they are the ones who installed my system…poor customer support

Automatic Rain Lawn and Sprinkles Review I would not recommend Automatic Rain Lawn and Sprinkles. For anything. I spoke with both of the owners yesterday and was floored with their level of unprofessionalism. I would be happy to settle this matter in small claims court. The Tech who I spoke with over the phone told me “ if you can refuse to pay and have a clear conscience, then good, good for you.” I told him I would. He also wished me luck as I looked for another company to service my system. So maybe he’s not as horrible and nasty as the front desk clerk I spoke with. Thanks to him wishing me “luck” I found a company that charges less and does more. Here are a few tips for Automatic Rain Lawn and Sprinkles - 1. Don’t promise work is included and then because gas prices go up try and nickel and dime your customers (this only ensures you don’t get repeat business). 2. Quote people for the work you do before the work is done (this will ensure everyone is on the same page) 3. You could change your name to Automatic Pain Lawn and Sprinkles (this is a more accurate name). My tips are free of charge. What happened? Well, I purchased my home in late fall of 2021. The previous owner did not do winterization on their irrigation system and the external main shut off valve was cracked. I called Automatic Rain and Lawn Sprinkles to have them come out and replace the valve and winterize my irrigation system. When the Technician arrived to winterize the system and replace the valve he had some cooked up reason why he wouldn’t replace the valve this winter. He told me “if you sign up for Spring Start Up I’ll include replacing the valve” I asked him what was included with “Spring Start Up” and he said “we open the water valve and start the system and check for issues.” There wasn’t a single thing he mentioned that I wasn’t capable of doing. However, I agreed that if he’d replace the valve I’d sign up for the spring start up. When the technician left I noticed there was nothing written on my receipt about the valve. I called Automatic Rain Lawn and Sprinkles and was assured that if “Curt” the tech who came out said he’d “replace that valve in the spring then he would because he is our most tenured employee.” So with that being said I rested easy and waited for spring. When it came time for start up the same technician came out to perform the service and replace the valve. Not once was anything mentioned that there could be any sort of additional cost incurred and clearly that is what I expected considering what I was promised by front desk lady and my buddy Curt (I’m not sure we’re still buddies). After a few months I received a bill in the mail including labor and parts. I called that lovely front desk clerk again to discuss what we had previously talked about during my winterization. She told me that she would contact the technician and get back to me within 24 hours. A month went by and I figured they had realized their mistake and I should think no more of it. I received another bill in the mail with only the cost for the part. I called the front desk clerk and explained that this is not something I was going to be paying for. I had been promised that if I signed up for the Spring Start Up the valve would also be included in that service. The front desk clerk was very rude and nasty she told me that there is no way that that is what was explained because she “knows” the tech and he would “never” use words like that. She didn’t say I was a liar but it sure seems like that’s what she was getting at. She had the tech call me and when he did I explained that because of his lack of proper communication, this would not be a bill I would be willing to pay. And that I would happily see him in small claims court if he felt that that is what needed to be done so that we could resolve this. I would recommend TLC Incorporated for all of your Irrigation needs. They were very helpful over the phone and I am excited to have them come out and “Quote” me for adding zones.

They did a great job.   Showed up on time with plenty of people and got the job done in a day.    The thoroughly explained everything to me as well.    I also had them come back in the Spring to start the system up again.   Showed up on time and explained everything.  I like these guys.

Everything went great from the moment I contacted Automatic Rain. Gentleman named Curt came out addressed my yards needs, provided  an estimate, & arranged for scheduling. The ladies in the office (Julie, Donna, & Kim)
are wonderful & so helpful! Curt even followed the next day to check on me, reexplained how to operate the system, & answered any further questions.

We are very please with the service Automatic Rain provided. We hired them after seeing the work they did at our neighbors home. We live in a new development with clay and straw for a lawn. Automatic Rain worked with our grass specialist to time both services and make it an easy and seamless process for us.  They educated us on how to use the sprinkler system. The technology they use is very intuitive but so easy to use. Automatic Rain came back out for us at end of the fall season to winterize the system so pipes would not burst and they returned at the beginning of the spring system to turn the system back on.  We have not regrets about hiring Automatic Rain and we have recommended them to several of our new neighbors whose homes were just built!

We have been using them since 2003. They installed the entire system which included 12 zones that cover one acre. They are also family owned and very responsive. The owner comes out himself to take care of things, and the technicians are very efficient and responsive.

Troy from Automatic Rain arrived on time. He went through the details of the service that he was to perform. He was knowledgable, friendly, and addressed all of my questions and concerns. He adjusted the sprinkler heads as needed. Previously, I purchased a flowerbed sprinkler head to replace one that I knew wasn't working properly. Troy assessed the head and decided that it only needed a minor, quick fix. He also found that another sprinkler head appeared clogged. Unable to remove the clog without digging up the head, he did what he needed to do to find and rectify the problem. I was happily surprised that I was charged for the quoted start up cost, and not charged extra like far too may companies choose to do.

They started on time and was down on time.  They also took the time to
verify all locations and go over the system.  I checked two other
services and they were the best bar far.

Overall they did a very good job and the system is working well.  Professionalism was downgraded because the equipment used to install the sprinkler pipes into the ground left tire track impressions and ruts.  The problem was pointed out to the supervisor as a concern, but was not adaquatly corrected.

It was a turnkey system.  It was all inclusive.  They did the permits and made sure the county was completely satisfied.  They gave me a price and proved that everyone who did the work was licensed.  They did the work all in one day.   They did come in right on budget.  I would use them for their maintenance program on the system.

They did an excellent job. They were very quick. They were efficient and clean. There communication is great. The price is good. The quality of work is terrific. I would use them again in the future.

The job was excellent. They were timely and friendly. They went above and beyond to explain the service they were providing and what they planned to provide in the future.

This company was very good at their work and was very reliable when we call to ask some questions about the sytstem. If  Mr. Harrigan was not in his office, he would call right back or send someone out.  He also came out when his crew was intalling the system to make sure everything went well.  For my husband  and I , we were very pleased with the overall job that AutomaticRain had performed for us.

They did a great job with my sprinkler system. I could tell that it needed maintenance because the sprinkler heads were spraying very irregularly and not strong enough. They did a great job at getting the sprinkler heads to perform at their best. They were very professional, knowledgeable well trained.
