I spent the day having 4 properties serviced by Shawn Griffin and Michael Wilson. Both these guys represented A-Plus with professionalism and friendly service. Not only did we speak on the systems serviced but we also bonded with friendly conversation throughout the day. It wasn't until later in the day that I learned neither these guys are Redskin fans (Commanders). Shawn is a New York Giant fan and Michael is a former Atlanta now Ravens fan. I told them both to get out! It was all in fun and these guys made a long day enjoyable having the AC units serviced. Keep these guys around, they are great for A-Plus customers. Al Courtney

Many thanks to ROBERT WALTON for his plumbing knowledge & skills to resolve my indoor/outdoor sewer line problem that was sourced to tree root blockage under my neighborhood street in December 2023. City worker said it was an "excellent job." City field supervisor further commented "not many plumbers do such a thorough job!" 5 stars for ROBERT WALTON'S quality workmanship along with his courteous informative friendly service.

Avoid this company to save so much money! Although most of the customer service representatives are helpful and competent, they will upcharge you for services that are triple the amount, compared to another company. Price gouging for this company is out of control. The technician I interacted with was very demanding and harsh when explaining the issue with my HVAC system.

The technician checked the A/C unit and told me that the system needed to be replaced.  He stated on the invoice that the Freon was "badly" low.  He said there was a leak and to fix it may work, but may not, and the coil would need to be replaced as well.  The cost of Freon and coil would be about $1K without any guarantee it would last.  He strongly recommended a new system for $6,200.  Getting another opinion was a smart decision (thanks Dad).  
The next company put two pounds of Freon in the unit and all has been working fine.  They assured me that a new system was not necessary.  Two pounds low is not "badly low" as A Plus said.  The possibility of a leak is slim with just two pounds of Freon needed.  
I have used A Plus for 15-18 years and will never use them again.   I spoke to Jay at A Plus and I must say that I am displeased with his response, so I asked to speak to his boss.  I left him another message as a reminder that I'm expecting a call from someone.  They will not return my call, therefore, I am done with them.  I will share this story so others know to be aware of this company or any other company that doesn't provide good service and truthful information that customers expect.

They are horrible to schedule. Today they assured me they would be out in the morning. I called at 11 am to verify that I was still being serviced and they said they had a mandatory meeting and we would not be serviced..no one called to tell me that. Wasted a whole day off. This is the second time they have done this. Totally unprofessional.

They checked my system on the outside and realized the problem. The hose broke for the freon and destroyed the compressor and they said it also affected my inside unit because of no freon. Both unts were replaced in about 5 hours. It was in the dead of the winter and I thank God I had my fireplace to keep me warm. They had a team of three people working. One person came to unhook and remove the system. One person worked on the outside unti and another person worked on the inside unit. My electric bill went from $700.00 to $350:00 which seemed very high but the following month it was a little over $200.00. I found papers were they replaced my until approximately 4 years ago. This time I made sure I had the warranty to cover the units. The technician stayed utnil I completed the information on-line. You could not mail in the warranty but it must be complete on-line. Interesting...I guess everyone must have a computer to get the warranty. But all was well and the technicians were great!

Have used A-Plus for 15 years.  They have always provided outstanding service on my heating and A/C units.  I also called them in an emergency to fix my mother's leaking hot water heater; they came the next day which I thoroughly appreciated (it helped calm my mother to know they were coming fast!).  APlus has replaced my AC and heating units and I have never had any problems.  I value their opinion and have never felt pressured by them.  They spent significant time trying to find a replacement part for my old heating unit (I also checked it out with my friend's HVAC friend; have to be careful), unit I was convinced it needed to be replaced.  Their workmanship is exceptional and I know that if something ever went wrong, they'd come out immediately.    They also have several employees who have been with the company for 30 years; that's says a lot.

It was fine yesterday, but over the years, they've put pressure on me to sell me a new system. This has happened three different times from 3 different techs. One time, the tech said that my compressor was bad, and I had a second opinion that said that it wasn't bad. That means that the first tech lied to me and I can no longer trust them. That is major.

He came out on a Saturday, which was nice. There has to be balance between our gas and electric. He taught us how to keep these in sync to help out bills. I was dissapointed that the unit was so big, but it was the only option.

I have been VERY impressed with A-Plus, they are very fast to service your system.  I needed a new heat pump and they made sure I had the right heat pump, but also made sure I had everything else I needed to make it work right.  You can TRUST A-Plus, they stand behind their work and they will work any issues that develop afterwards...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

They came out to inspect what we thought was a broken register ... and showed us where the Heater had broken down and why a replacement was needed.  They showed us their recommendation for a replacement and provided us with a written estimate.  We shopped around and did some research on the brand and finally made a decision to go with them.  They showed up at the appointed time, began the work, were very courteous, did their work methodically and finished that same day.  My wife made all the arrangements and did the oversight of the work  ... she said that It was a pleasant experience for her.

If needed, they will come more times. They are always courteous on the phone. They are always responsible and responsive in their service call. They are very professional. I never had any problems with them. I have been using them for about 30 to 40 years. I rate them high overall.

I have been using them for over 20 years. Even when we moved back in 1995 we have still continued to use them. There are times that they have not been as prompt as i would have liked and they have shown up an hour late. They installed a heat pump with out getting a county permit so they did have to go back and redo it. You need to be sure you have a permit when adding things to your home and they are supposed get it.
