This began ok, but most of the experience was terrible The workers initially came on time. The windows were good except they were the wrong color. I have a homeowners association and that didn't fly. He talked me into having them painted when the installation was complete - my mistake, but I did it. I had no choice; the original windows were out of the house and destroyed. When they came to work, they didn't come and stay until the job was finished. They didn't bring a shop vac. They didn't have a broom (they left with mine). I cleaned up the mess after they left. They were messy with the insulation foam. Foam was left dripping on a wall, which ultimately I had to sand and repaint. There is still foam stuck on one of the windows. The window frames inside have rough "holes' that require plugs provided by the manufacture which were never delivered to me. Andrew tried to make good with plastic screw plugs from Home Depot but they are too small. I contacted the window manufacturer looking for plugs, but they couldn't or wouldn't provide them because of issues they were having with Thornhill Renovations. A two day job took approximately four days which cost me work time. Within a week of installation the trim on the living room bay window began to peel back from the outside window and siding. Some paint is peeling inside. I called several times and e mailed several times. After the first time, he said he would come and fix it, but he never did - probably because a week after they left I found jewelry missing, including a charm bracelet that meant the world to me and was valued at 11,000. Andrew's father who was working on the job was found to have stolen it plus a lot of other jewelry. (He is in prison now) The other jewelry was recovered - some of it damaged. The bracelet never was. Andrew has never offered to replace it, nor has he come back to fix the window. Also Andrew represented to me that he was licensed and he is not. Shame on me for not looking into it further before contracting with him to do the work. The whole thing is a shame. Andrew had done other work for me which went well. I believe he is basically an honest and skilled individual who may have been over his head with this job. I also think he should have attempted to make good on the stolen jewelry and certainly should repair the window trim. He brought Brian Thornhill into my house. The bracelet was the only material possession I ever cared about. If I could afford to rip the windows out of my house I would. Whenever I see them I think of this experience. Whenever I go to an event where I would have worn my bracelet (holidays, weddings etc) Andrew and Brian Thornhill are with me because my bracelet is gone. I gave the price an "F" because in my mind I spent 7,000 +11,000 (stolen jewelry) for windows that are still not right. A huge price to pay for this
