CEDAR HILL FLORIST INC

I called the shop directly to order the arrangements. I explained to the person on the phone the purpose of the arrangements, what I wanted to spend on each and that I didn't want to order a specific (Telaflora) arrangement from their website, but would trust them to create something special. I did mention that I would like the arrangement for my daughter to include bright, bold colors, as she is quite young and would be likely to prefer that. The ordering process went well, and the flowers were delivered on time, on a Tuesday as promised. As I was still hospitalized, I didn't see the arrangements myself until I came home on Friday, at which time I was appalled. The arrangement for my husband clearly looked like a Christmas leftover, complete with a bowl that looked like a Christmas ornament (top with a loop and all) the one for my daughter was a washed out bunch of carnations with a rose or two. The cards were switched, which may explain why my husband's arrangement had Gebera daisies randomly stuck between the other Christmasy-colored flowers. Both arrangements had wilted terribly in the short three days before I saw them. Even worse, when I called Cedar Hill to express my disappointment, their response was...disinterested. No apologies, no expression of regret. In fact, the tone of the person I spoke to is best described as "annoyed" that I was bothering them at all. He also attempted to convince me that the ornament bowl was a "candy dish" and had been used "so there would be a keepsake". I didn't ask for a keepsake. I asked for a lovely arrangement! And what does a gold lame "candy dish" have to do with a new baby, anyway? They offered to re-deliver, but as another reviewer said, what would that do? This was meant to be a lovely surprise - that time had passed. Besides, given their response to the initial problem I didn't feel they were particularly interested in delivering a quality product. After I said that a re-delivery would not be necessary, but that I did not feel this represented the quality I had come to expect from Cedar Hill, and the arrangements were not worth what I had paid, they did offer a $10.00 credit per arrangement. I accepted this, but will not be returning to Cedar Hill. An apology would have gotten them a lot further.

The flowers wilted in the day and half that they were at the funeral home. The water was murky. The flower arrangement looked old, and it was also unattractive. There was no time to complain between the evening viewing and the morning funeral service. The florist said they would have replaced them, but that was of no help. The funeral was already over. I was embarrassed to have sent such a horrible arrangement, and this florist was recommended by the funeral home.

Marty was fantastic. He was able to figure out what we were looking for very quickly, and the flowers on the day were gorgeous. The price was beyond reasonable - half of the other estimates I received. We heard many positive comments about the flowers after the wedding. He worked with us and made this part of wedding planning so easy!
