We specialize in residential and commercial plumbing, heating & air conditioning, home improvement, remodeling and general construction. Earl Washington Jr founded Washington Home Doctors in 1986 knocking on doors and developed an excellent reputation in the local community. Since then, the company has grown from a one man operation to a fully staffed company with Licensed and Uniformed technicians and a fleet of handsomely lettered service trucks. Today Washington Home Doctors holds Home Improvement Contractor Licenses for Washington D.C. & Maryland State, a Master Plumbing License for W.S.S.C. & Maryland State jurisdictions, a Master HVAC License and we are a certified MBE (Minority Business Enterprise) company. Washington Home Doctors have far exceeded my expectations. I needed a replacement water heater and expansion tank. They worked with me to set up an appointment that worked best for me and did not mind my endless questions as they performed and finished their work. The bonus is they are a B.O.B. and that was a definite plus. Based on their work ethic, professionalism and the time they took to ensure that I understood the details of the services I was receiving I will be a repeat customer. This company takes pride in all they do.

I was nervous about the cost, but it went great and within my budget! I called Friday hoping to get an appointment for the weekend and was thrilled that they were able to come same day that afternoon. The condensation pump had a bad leak that I had ignored and had not serviced the unit in awhile, so reason why I was nervous. He showed up as agreed and was very professional. He did not try to sell me anything, including trying to sell me a new unit, but actually said it was in pretty good shape. He also said I did not need Freon, which he could have easily taken advantage and told me why sell me something I did not need. Wow, talk about business integrity... THANK YOU!! I will definitely use Washington Home Doctors again and will also refer them to my friends!

Excellent! Earl explained his services in full and offered smart alternatives to save me money. He was punctual and installed a brand new new hot water heater in a short amount of time. Would definitely hire again.

My water heater broke and was flooding the basement. I called several places, and WHD was by far the most responsive. He helped me find to shut off valve over the phone. Then he replaced the old one with the model of my choice within 24 hours. Everyone else I called said it would be days, not to mention more expensive. He was very meticulous, showed me all of the installation work and gave me a great general overview of care and maintenance. He clean and courteous.

Around 7:00 AM, we discovered that the hot water tank was leaking and there was a pretty good sized puddle of water on the floor. We called a service provider we had used in the past and they gave what we considered a pretty hefty price for a diagnostic visit and then gave us a window between 1 and 5. We then did some internet browsing and received names of three companies. Washington Home Doctors responded right away with a very reasonable diagnostic fee and a window between 11 and 1. Project Manager Earl Washington was courteous, professional, and took time to explain why the 20-year old water heater needed to be replaced and what needed to be brought up to code with a new water heater. He did not try to pressure us on what brand of water heater to get, and went out of his way to find the brand we wanted. We were more than happy with the discount we received. He arrived to diagnose the problem and then came back to install a new water heater in the same day. We highly recommend this company and will use them again if needed. Thank you Earl Washington.
