We needed an office area built in an open floor planned condominium, along with several bookcases. Jeff and his team proposed several ideas and we trusted his guidance. We could not be more happy with the results. The office area, bookcases and hidden storage are beautiful! Their work is top notch and well worth the money.

Jeff and his team were fantastic from start to finish. He clearly explained what needed to be done, as well as what didn't need to be done. I never felt like Jeff was trying to up sell me on anything but wanted to do the job right. We had a major freak-out halfway through the job (not Jeff or his team's fault) and he very quickly figured out and fixed the issue. Most importantly - his team is incredibly clean. When I got home from work after their first day on site, I was worried they never showed up because the house was still spotless. They never left so much as a spot of dirt in the house. I can't recommend Stout Restorations enough. I will absolutely use them again, and have already recommended them to a neighbor.

They are okay. Their price is too high which they can improve on. I would not use them.

They were very experienced. They were very patient about talking with us and explaining what needed to be done and what they're going to do. They're very punctual. The start date and finish date all came together. When they said that they were going to finish in a certain time, they were actually finished. They were very thorough. They were really good.

Jeff and his crew (led by Jose) were great.  He realized the back of my house needed tuck-pointing before they would be able to cut a hole in the wall to install a new window.  He even showed me how the mortar was seriously deficient in a number of places (where you could see light peeking through.  I'm quite thankful my wall didn't come crashing down.   They did a great job - very professional and timely and also friendly.  The subway tile looks great, as does the window.  I'd definitely hire them again for new projects.

For what it's worth, this guy made an appointment for an estimate to come at 8-8:30am on a weekday and never showed up, nor did he call to cancel.  Ironically, when he initially responded to my request, we spoke about other providers whp had made appointments and did not show up.  We laughed about it.  He expressed surprise at it.  I guess the joke was on me.  Beware.

It went pretty well.  The workers were respectful and tried to keep their work clean.  If you've ever had this kind of project done in your home, you know the DUST is a killer and since it took several weeks to complete this work, it was a nightmare.  However, the Stout team vacuumed the surrounding area before leaving each night.  I really appreciated that.  They also listened to my concerns and easily accepted my changes whenever I requested them.  It was really a pleasure to work with them.
I did find them to be slightly expensive: I asked for an estimate for painting the front of my DC row house and they quoted me $9500 (yikes!) and when I mentioned that I thought it was high, Jeff explained the amount of work that would be needed to put up scaffolding, scrape, prime and paint, and offered to cut the price by $1000.  I declined to do it at this time as it still seems pretty expensive to me.  But I got multiple offers to replace our windows and the Stout quote was consistent with what others have given, so maybe I'm just cheap ;-).
We are currently using them for a complete bathroom remodel.

I really like that they were in contact with me by phone. They showed up when they said they would show up and they came continuously until the job was done.  I really like that they came and stayed. The price was reasonable and they were nice, very casual and I like that.

He also painted the outside of the house.  I know the owner personally.  I find him to be very trust worthy.  If there is any issue, he will come back and take care of it.  I thought that the work was great.  He contracted out some of the work in the bathroom.  I was 100% satisfied.  He isn’t cheap but I paid what everybody else would pay.  I was very happy with what he did.  It was an old house and it had a lot of cracks.  The rooms that he painted look beautiful.  He was very professional.

Since this was my first major remodeling project in my home, I was anxious about the process. Mr. Stout came on several occasions and explained the steps he would need to accomplish what I wanted. He listened to my ideas as to what I expected. He made suggestions as to how to improve the look of my enclosed room. He and his workers were professional and always on time. Had to do some extras because of the age of the home but let me know ahead of time what needed to be done. Cost was a big factor so he kept me aware as to the price of anything extra outside of the contract. Not really sure how to make a comparison with regard to price, but it looks wonderful and I am pleased. Certainly plan to use his company for my bathroom projects.

I have dealt with Jeff before. He is a problem solver who gets thing done. He cleans up after the work before he turns it over to you. We live in a city apartment & he talked us into moving out during construction and putting two rooms of furniture into storage because he was concerned about harming our furniture. I resisted but finally followed his advise. Coming in during construction I saw how correct he was because otherwise there would have been insufficient room to work. The finished job was beautiful and things he did not like, he did over--even when we didn't see them. He came back for several days to pick up a "punch list" of little things that needed correction and promptly did them. Stout Restoration is not the cheapest, but you can depend on him to do the work. He is also an excellent handy man,
