I hired this company in September 2018 to fix the front underground foundation of my home. The work on this job was completed in about 2-3 weeks. A few days after I paid the final balance we got a heavy down pour of rain in MD and to my dismay the foundation wasn’t repaired properly and leaks into my home to this very day. The owner has been to my home on a couple of occasions to confirm the leaking and was to get back to me with a date of repairing again. I have a plethora of text messages, video and photo that were sent to the owner and his reply of confirmation of receipt and confirmation that the foundation is still leaking. Finally in December 2018 I issued a dispute with my credit card company to have the charge for this job reversed. In Feb 2019 the reversal was made. In March 2019 Christopher Jones lied to my credit card company and said he checked my home and didn’t find any leaking. However his response to my text messages totally contradicts his lies. I also had a cement pad laid in my driveway that has cracked from one side to the other. I paid cash for the job so my only recourse is to sue to hopefully get my money back ($900). As a general contractor Christopher Jones is very hands off and is hardly around to check the quality of work being performed. I regret the decision I made to hire this company as now I am in limbo waiting to be certain that the $4800 credit card reversal is permanent. I still need to have my still leaking basement repaired. I would discourage anyone from hiring Jones Quality Construction. Buyer Beware.

I just want him to gave my money back somehow.
Description of Work: He did an estimate and gave him $6000. He came every once in a month until this June but he did not finished the work. On June 17, I called him and he apologized and said he will come on the 18th but he did not show up. I went to the court house and file a sue against him and his company.

Chose this contractor over other proposal not just because price was fair but because Chris had an eye for design and was very creative in thinking through options for effectively using the space, as well as finishes that would be a bit more interesting than contractor-grade off-white. He was also willing to think through options with me to eliminate costs but credible advised when cost-cutting in certain areas would be ill-advised. As is typical with an old house, unexpected things came up - the entire floor needed to be jackhammered out, all the plumbing replaced, and electrical was out of code. But even through this frustration, I appreciate that the costs were kept reasonable and Chris was responsive to my concerns. The basement came out nicely and continues to generate rental income.

He's not being cooperative. He's doing what he wants to do. He has been very rude to me, telling me what he was not going do and what he will do. He took the door down going down to the basement and told me that he wasn't going to put it back up. I had to argue with him and had to buy the door before he would put the door back up. He didn't hire professional painters. As stated earlier this is an old house and he knew that going in, the painter did not do any point up work nor did he do any prep before painting. It?s not done correctly because you could see in some areas where the drywall tape is and where the mud. His workmanship is very sloppy and it says it?s because I keep asking questions and bothering his workers. He has even gone to the point to ask me not to come to my own property. He didn't supervise his workers. One day I went past the house in evening after they had left and my front door was left wide open, this was a Friday. If I hadn?t gone past the property the door would have been opened all weekend. When asking him a question he always took it as a criticism. . He gets very upset when asked questions or if I say I don?t want this, and say what I expected him to do. He would then tell me that this looks better. Then the work that does get done is not done very well. He keeps telling me not to come to my property. I recommend that no one uses this contractor.
