I recently had my home powerwashed and completely repainted. All wood rot was replaced with pvc. The price was extremely competitive after getting other comparative estimates and the work was top notch. The crew had a great attention to detail. Everyone from the owner Rogelio to the crew was polite and professional.

We had a fantastic experience with this company! Rogelio, the owner, did a walkthrough with us, gave us a fair estimate, realistic timeline, and his team delivered fantastic results. The workmanship was of a very high quality, with beautiful results; the team did a daily cleanup, were quiet and respectful (we were at home, working and studying remotely, while the work has been done). We will definitely hire them again!

The crew arrived on time (8:00AM) over the course of the 51/2 day job. They were careful in their setup and movement of all furniture including wall paintings and several family heirloom items that are irreplacable.  The men worked hard everyday to stay on schedule, not leaving until after 6:00PM every day.  They cleaned up extremely well at the end of each work day and adjusted to several change orders (crown molding,accenting more walls than planned), easily and professionally.  The guys were totally trustworthy, and I left them alone for hours at a time to do their work. I was also very impressed with their  exquisite attention to detail in  all facets of the job. I feel like I have moved into a brand new condo.  My neighbors who have seen the finished product are raving about how great it looks.  I would without reservation highly recommend this company if you want a first rate job

I would definitely recommend Kevin Neale and his crew at Metropolitan painting.  I purchased a home that had previously been a rental and had a LOT of deferred maintenance.  In the process of interviewing contractors, Kevin was the only one that was excited about the prospect of making my "money pit" into my vision . All other contractors I interviewed pointed out all flaws sounding almost like they were dreading having to do the work!!  Kevin, was personable, honest, specific and realistic about all the work that would be required and how much it would cost.  His crew is skilled, always on time, worked neatly and always listened to any concern that I had regarding the project.  Kevin stayed in touch throughout the whole process.  I am happy to say that I had a great experience and my house looks like a brand new home!

Their excellent work and professionalism goes beyond what I could list here.  Their interior work was so good and fairly priced that we had them do the entire exterior trim work  of our  townhouse.    I have never seen harder or more efficient workers than Metropolitan has.   It took six days for them to complete the entire outside of the townhouse, even with the scaffolding.  (Our townhouse is an end unit, three stories above ground, not including the eaves, and sits up on a hill with absolutely nowhere to place ladders.)  They were here by 8:30 a.m. every morning, even though it was still cold out, with it being January.  They had the scaffolding up on a Tuesday and down by Thursday, having completed and replaced all of the eaves on our townhouse with PVC.   They had completed the rest of the work by Saturday.  There wasn't a thing for us to clean up!  They were so efficient and our townhouse looks like new. 
Owner, Kevin Neale is great to work with and by far gave us the fairest estimate of any that we had!

Very well.  The crew was on time, neat and performed quality work. Questions and concerns were addressed immediately. Changes were reviewed closely and completed in the normal work sequence. Metropolitan finished on schedule (actually a bit ahead) and took care of all punch list items promptly to bring the job to completion. Price checks served as a useful tool in negotiating the cost of all addenda to the original agreement. 
Metropolitan performed the work under the agreement and, most likely, absorbed the cost of some wood trim/siding replacement that went beyond the scope we agreed upon.

We had Kevin come into our home to give us an estimate for a complete interior repaint.  He was very professional when walking through our home and respectful by being on time with his free estimate.  When confirming on the price, we were able to negotiate a price that worked for the both of us.  He gave me a start date that worked with my schedule.  Overall we are very happy with the services provided.

We, unfortunately, had a very negative experience with this company and would not recommend them. 
We hired Kevin to do a large painting job in our home prior to moving in. The work was not completed in the time frame outlined in the contract, however this was due to understandable delays due to the severe weather in our area. When we inspected the house after the job was complete, we noticed several problems - most notably, many of the English panels throughout the home and as well as an area of the basement were not painted as per our agreement. Kevin's explanation for not paining the English panels was that he only painted the ones in the rooms in which he was doing other painting. When it was pointed out to him that the contract states "all English panels not painted in semi gloss" he agreed to complete this portion of the job. 
He refused, however, to complete the basement without us paying him more money. He gave several different excuses for why this part of the basement was not done: he initially said that the area was wallpaper, and removal of wallpaper in that area was not included in the contract. On further inspection, however, it was determined that this area was not wallpapered and was only painted. When this was pointed out to him, he then said he didn't paint the area (which was painted with a floral mural) because he "thought it looked nice" and thought we liked it, despite the fact that we had every other similarly-painted mural throughout the house repainted. From the start we requested that the entire basement be painted, and the contract states "Entire basement includes laundry room, bedroom in basement, storage room, main area, basement bathroom, staircase leading to basement, and all closets." His argument is that this area is not included in the "main area"; however, it is not a separate room and is in no way closed off from the rest of the basement. Furthermore, several similar open areas were painted as part of the "main area".
He then threatened to sue us, at which time we paid him the balance, however gave him 1 week to rectify the situation and complete the job prior to providing negative feedback about our experience to both Angie's list and our neighborhood HOA. In an apparent attempt to smooth things over, he thirdly blamed the delays for the room not being done, stating "as a businessman I'm sure you understand."
Several days after this discussion took place, we were notified that he would not be completing the work. Based on the contract, prior discussions regarding the work to be completed, and his changing explanations for why the area wasn't painted, we feel Kevin has been extremely dishonest and took advantage of us. He additionally tried to take advantage of us with respect to the English panels, which he only painted when pushed. We certainly will not be using him again, and we would not recommend him to anyone.

Poorly. Ruined our siding by power washing with bleach which destroyed the finish of the siding. Further damaged the siding when they tried to remove paint dropped on the siding. Used the wrong caulk to close joints. Dropped paint on flagstone patio. Overall job was mediocre. Have been unresponsive to make corrections. Would not use them again and would not recommend them.

They were certainly prompt, thorough and professional in the quote phase. They were not the cheapest but we were most impressed with them. The actual work was FLAWLESS. They started when they said and worked almost everyday until the job was done. They had a large crew blitz the project - no promising to show up and then not coming. They were ON IT. They were clean, courteous and thorough. The extra cost is SOOOOOO worth it. They even did some light carpentry work on shutters and the deck !

Disappointing experience. It appears from the other reviews here that their work is highly variable. They've painted many houses in our neighborhood and we've spoken with some neighbors who were satisfied and others who were disappointed. The team that painted our house needed constant monitoring to make sure we got some semblance of what we were promised. The owner wasn't helpful after the contract was signed. Caulk was applied poorly, often old cracked caulk was painted over rather than replaced. Ground facing ends of new trim boards were left unpainted. Rotted board not replaced. Sloppy woodwork. Questionable paint quality. Missed spots. I could go on. We managed to get the crew to fix some of these things but eventually we gave up. We were promised "meticulous" but we ended up having to work hard to get acceptable. We're not perfectionists by any means. If we noticed the problems they had to be glaring. Three months later the caulk they applied is cracking in many places.

It was absolutely great.

They worked during the hottest days of the week on our roof painting. They did an excellent job! I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality work at a reasonable price! If you need quality work, at a good price, this is the company to do business with.
