Air Distributor HVAC

[ ] My mini-split system had developed leaks and would no longer hold a charge. Two previous techs had brushed me off, saying " yeah, all mini-splits leak." I finally found a reliable tech who verified the leak was not at the outdoor compressor unit but then ghosted me. He obviously wanted no part in isolating each of 3 line-sets and indoor units to find the leak(s), much less commit to the grueling job of replacing any line-sets, which are routed through several crawl spaces. I was very grateful to find Will Lu from Distributor Air HVAC. He painstakenly did what had to be done to isolate the leaks to 2 of the line sets and then come back to replace them. He conducted himself professionally at all times and was always mindful of keeping my indoor space clean, putting down a pathway of drop cloths and donning booties. I found his rates to be reasonable. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. He earned my 5 stars.

Of all the HVAC companies I contacted, these guys had the best rates to come out and diagnose why my A/C was blowing hot air. Will came out and was very thorough and professional in diagnosing the issue and got me up and running in the same visit! He had great communication leading up to the meeting, and also spent a good amount of time talking to me about what was going on with my HVAC and giving advice. Very honest, knowledgeable, and didn't try to pressure upcharge me on anything but did offer additional services. I will definitely be hiring Will again for any other work and when it's time to replace my 14-year old HVAC (but hopefully not too soon!)

Pro showed up late, but called and communicated with us throughout the process. He was very professional, quick to diagnose and fix the problem. Also, offered suggestions for future maintenance (even if not done by them). Would highly recommend!

Will is a great find through Angi. He was very knowledgeable about the Ecobee Smart Thermostat installation even though we had old 8 wired with jumper thermostats for two zoned electric heat pumps. I was so impressed with his knowledge that I asked him to do our HVAC system tune-ups as well. He quickly assessed that our heating had more electrical loads than what we really needed - something that PEPCO has alerted us before. Will was a totally honest professional who had started his company two years ago. However I have found him to be very honest and straightforward in his profession and conscientious about not doing unnecessary work unless it was needed. I plan to use him for our future services including plumbing and electric floor heating as I trust his ability to handle any technical issues for my home.

It's a few days after the first measurable snow fall we've had in the northeast in several years and my heat pump outside unit stopped working. I switched the system to emergency heat and started making calls for help. I got in contact with Will from Air Distributor HVAC and he was able to expedite my service request and got to my house within 1 hour. He gave my system a comprehensive look, diagnosed the problem with a high degree of confidence and provided a fair quote for fixing it. He applied the fix and then much to my surprise (and appreciation) he waited an extra hour to ensure there were no other contributing factors that could present a problem in this freezing weather. I appreciate his expertise and professionalism, but also his willingness to go the extra mile to ensure my family is comfortable. All my future HVAC needs will referred to Air Distributor HVAC. The process and the implication of the HVAC system are much more than purchasing a vehicle, especially without the consumer-oriented resources to provide clarity. That is, cars are made in the factory to standard specifications and fully assembled. With the product being constant, the sales in a car dealership help consumers by mapping their needs to the most suited option packages. Other than that, the procurement process makes practically no difference in the ownership experience. Furthermore, there are many online resources to compare the content and pricing to aid consumer research. HVAC purchasing is a journey that makes car buying like a piece of cake. Sure, consumer brochures are available from the equipment vendors and the individual HVAC units are pre-assembled in the factory, but the units need to be matched/integrated and installed carefully by the professionals. Much like cooking, good ingredients do not guarantee a tasty dish. That means the quality of the overall product of equipment combined with installation may not be a constant between contractors. Furthermore, price haggling may have undesirable implications otherwise. Bill is neither like a sales person trying to sell the products with the highest margin nor like a technician who comes to do the job while putting the least effort to collect a signature. Bill from Air Distributor, acts more like a guide with his industry experience. Bill made suggestions based on the available systems in the market as well as recommended the best sizing and installation method. He even made an effort to balance the systems with damper and additional register for comfort. What makes Bill extraordinary and prompted my urge to write this review is his stubbornness towards paying attention to detail. Observing from his behind, Bill has a methodical way of approaching systems installation. Regardless of my pre-existing issues with duct works, PVC plumbing or outdoor unit support brackets, Bill spent additional time and effort to ensure that the job is done right and up to his high-quality standard. His work is simply clean and beautiful. When was the last time your hired contractor apologized to you for staying longer than their scheduled time slot and tell you that they just want to make sure that they can be proud of the work delivered?
