Manicures/Nails
This was the WORST experience ever! I had been to this salon before and used Helen who was great. So I returned and Helen was off but they said another person who happily do my service. The pedicure was ok but when it came time to polish the nails I had nail polish everywhere. The job was sloppy and the service itself was just ok. The manicure is what made me write this review. The technician (woman) did a terrible job on the manicure. She performed the service so fast as if the building was on fire. My nails were sloppy and looked like a 2 year old painted them. She stuck me under the LED lamp and took off. I kept asking her to "clean up the polish" before sticking me under the lamp because gel dries and cannot be removed by polish. She ignored me and when I was finished I had to ask the the male technician with the tennis tattoos (who seemed to be pretty good) to clean up the toes the best he could. He said "Wow there is quite a bit here huh"?. I left to speak to the manager outside who said I could return Sat to have Helen do my nails. Initially I planned to do so but I didn't want to wait 4 days with kindergarten nails and then have to waste my time and gas to return. So I went back immediately and explained that I wanted my money back and would not return. She said she would give me $15 back for the gel service but I did get a manicure and the refund would only be after then removed the gel from my nails (as if I wanted to get a free gel painting that looked that bad!). So the male technician started to remove the gel polish (another 20 minutes) and the owner came to suggest I get a polish (non-gel) since I did at least pay for a manicure. I agreed and when it was time to remove the gel polish I was sent back to the same woman who messed them up in the first place! She, again, rushed through every nail and did not even remove all of the gel polish - she just painted over the residue! It was unbelievable! The owner came by to ask if it was better and I said "NO. This is terrible and I give up. I have wasted an entire afternoon". I had to come home and removed the polish and scrape the gel off my remaining nails which were so brittle by this point I had to cut them down to bare minimum. I give the owner initial credit for offering to redo the nails but to allow the same person to mess them up again and then to give me partial $ back was ridiculous. My nails have not been the same since and I am disgusted. This place seemed to be one that only cared about you paying and not your service.
