"Hi [Member Name Removed], I'm sorry to read about your bad review about us. During the short 3 month time we mowed your business's property, I was unaware of any spots missed/sloppy work, as I got nothing but praise from your coworker with whom I keep in constant communication with. With regards to the oil stains, I see the pictures attached are from the mowing after the incident happened and before we treated/cleaned the area. As I explained when we met, it would take some time for the chemicals to do their work and remove the stains. Again, my apologies things didn't work out."
Provider was also notified in Fall 2014 that it appeared their blades were set much lower than previously and responded there had been an adjustment and their blades were now set to mow at 2.5-3.5".. Several instances when all or part of the yard were cut to 2" were noted to the provider (this was determined by taking several measurements at different flat points in the yard). This issue was discussed in e-mail by the provider but still occurred. Recently (April 2015) it was noted the mowers had trimmed grass to 1.5-2" and provider said he was "working on a solution for the mowers". The overtrimming was very evident by a quick visual inspection.
On 5/29 the issue of overtrimmed grass was brought to the providers attention again. On 5/31 provider sent an e-mail refunding money paid in advance to June and dropped me from their service stating "I don't think we'll be a good fit for you". There was no further discussion of the overtrimming. While certainly within the Providers right to decline to provide service the abruptness of this action to a customer of ~2 years and the lack of an attempt to discuss things before taking this action in light of the fact this was an ongoing problem is a disappointing response.
