I regretted retiring Keys Plumbing because he took an easy job that I could do, and he cheated too high. However, sometimes I need to help small businesses in my community. In the future, I won’t hire or recommend Keys Plumbing to anyone because they ripped me off.

Prompt scheduling & speedy fix to a serious leak in my basement ceiling. I was able to schedule an appointment easily over the phone, and the plumbers arrived in less than 24 hours during the week of Christmas. Patrick & Dylan did a great job quickly diagnosing the issue, and they fixed the leak and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. Fair price for a quick & effective fix! Highly recommend these guys for any and all plumbing issues 💪

He is a nice guy and he came on time. Even though he didn`t find the problem, I highly recommend him because of his professionalism.

A leaking toilet anytime is a potential nightmare especially on the weekend. My call was answered by a quintessentially friendly and courteous person who told me a plumber would arrive in a hour. Mr. Patrick Keys repaired a toilet that was leaking and clogged, made a repair to a vanity at no cost and gave an Angle’s List discount. Needless to say my wife and I are pleased.

The valve at the curve box came off and caused a flooding. The curve box valve as in WSSC valve. Wash. Surb. Sant. Commission (WSSC) are the Water Authority here in DC-Metro area. Some of that water came into my basement and saturated the wood floor. Now, as the wood board dried, it warped and sticking out from the vinyl flooring. They blamed the valve was old and faulty; "It was old and worn and just came apart". I confronted them that I saw everything; I saw the whole valve and I saw them taking it apart. But they insisted it just came apart on its' own. So I called WSSC and told them of what really happened and the manager told me the valve did NOT come apart on its' own. The manager said that the valve can NOT come apart where the ball-valve reside (the middle) and then assured me that I won't be charged of fees and penalties. Furthermore, as the valve surfaced from the mud, I saw no sign of failure or fault. The valve was SOLID even after it was hard handled while digging for it. It was even pulled with their excavator. The valve was even shiny after all those years in the mud. Especially both ends of the thread. My water main, and the whole community here, is only at about 82 PSI (WSSC has shown me this and explained). Pressure regulator is not installed in these homes. But the valve just came apart in the middle where it is the strongest part of the valve. Failure is always at the weakest point. And no marks of failure, but just unscrewed itself. I hope people knows about underground valves. Also the valve is grounded with the city electricity, so it further reduces rusting. So they said the flooding was not in their control so they are not obligated to the damages. They also washed down my rear entrance stairs with buckets (plural) of water even after I told them there is not a drain. But they claim that there is a drain that leads to my sump pump. I told them the owners built the basement. But I should've made calls and confirmed but didn't thought of it at the time. Also, this person is very different from his 1st impression. For one example (from a few), he said copper will last 70 years as long as the soil isn't acidic, so I went with copper. But after the installation he said 40 years. I asked 70, but he denied. I'm not happy with them anymore. I helped them by not confiscating the valve under my due diligence nor did I record them in action. But they didn't want anything to do with my warped floor or my feelings. The damage is small, only 1 board is bellied up with all the edges sticking out of my vinyl flooring. But it claps more as I walk by. Come to think of it, what if the flood did happen? I would've been so preoccupied with my equipment ($10k or more and my only backup) I would've never known what really happened. They probably would've said the same thing, it's WSSC fault so claim it on them. And of course, WSSC would say otherwise. I don't recommend them. They don't even have invoice so I don't know hoow much I paid for parts and labor. Just receipt of transaction. Also I just realized, if the valve was malfunctioning as they said (“it just came apart”), shouldn’t it be their responsibility to detect and report it before touching it? I mean they are the certified plumber.

On time, professional service - all good

Contractor of our dreams, Pleasant and professional, Patrick anticipated and fixed every twist of our project. Cleaned work area as he moved floor to floor and checked over and over to see repairs were perfect. It's a pity his work is hidden behind the walls.

They did a great job. They were vey friendly and helpful.

It went very well. The toilet had to be taken off to remove the clog. There was analysis required to determine what the issue was and were the clog was located. The plumber was very professional and completed the task within 2 hours. He also shared let me know what caused the issue and gave me tips on how to prevent this happening again. I highly recommend this company, they are friendly, understanding and responsive with good customer service.

Everything went well; the plumber was professional and provided great customer service. He even pointed out some things that I should get repaired as part of the bathroom remodeling that is in process.

Patrick, the plumber they sent out, was excellent. Keys even called to let me know they were running a bit behind schedule on the arrival time. I was very pleased and have already recommended Keys to a fellow Bowie resident.

Mr. Keys arrived right at the beginning of our appointment window. He was very professional and knowledgeable. The toilet was indeed causing the leak in our pantry and was repaired without difficulty. The washing machine wasn't discharging effectively, not because the pipe behind it was too narrow as we thought, but because the hose under the sink in the kitchen was too short and kinked as a result. The hose was replaced, a new trap installed, and the area under the sink neatened up very nicely. Thank you for the efficient repair work! Everything is now in good working order.

We could not be happier with Mr. Key. It mattered to us that his is a family business. First of all, we were looking for a professional and Mr. Key is a licensed plumber with nearly 30 years of experience. Secondly, we wanted a plumber that we could go back to in the future. Mr. Key is very friendly and extremely professional. He arrived on time and always called if there was any delay. He walked us through the issues and answered every question we had. He’s the kind of person you feel you can trust. I will definitely hire him again.

It ended up being a two-step process due to the need to order a special part. They were accommodating and did not charge us for a second visit.

Patrick responded quickly and he did a phenomenal job. He goes beyond what is expected. The service was professional and exceeded my expectation. I purchased the water heater and accessories and paid Patrick for installation services.

The experience overall was at the highest level. I called at 10am and by 1230pm Patrick was there accessing the situation and starting the job. The main sewer line was backed up and Patrick ran a snake and broke the clog. He had to run over 150ft of line to reach it. He also unclogged a laundry sink drain and a toilet bowl that wasn't working properly. He did all this work with a friendly attitude and he told me he had over 35 years experience in plumbing. The trade he grew up on. I will definitely call him again if I have any other plumbing problems that need to be addressed. Thank you

I've been using Keys Plumbing for years.  He's the name and number I give out when friends ask if I'd recommend a plumber.  Patrick is always responsive.  Work is done in a workmanlike manner with top quality materials.  Keys Plumbing has done a wide range of plumbing services for me and I've never been disappointed.  Often Patrick is able to provide a creative solution to a sticky problem and always remedies plumbing mistakes by others.  Appointments are met on time and if he's running late on the job before, will call with a later time or to reschedule.  That's very respectful of my time and I try to return the favor by scheduling a call with as much information as I can provide.

Keys plumbing is a true Mom and Pop business! Commercial plumbing companies simply can't compete with the level of service we received from Keys. We had three different projects at three different times and each job came with a set of challenges. Patrick and his son were a great team and brought to the table strategic solutions that were minimally invasive, cost effective and completed in a timely manner. In the front office is Key's biggest asset, Jane. Not only is she just lovely, but very responsive and can talk about the specifics of your job and communicate substantively about next steps, making her a great go between me and Patrick. I bet she knows just as much - if not more about plumbing than most plumbers! I have referred anyone that needed a plumber to Keys. It's such a relief when you can trust someone so much that you refer family and friends saying "you should just call my plumber for that.."

I absolutely love him.  He is fantastic.  The company is run by Patrick and Jane Ivy and they have been coming to our house for 25 years.  They do everything that has something to do with plumbing and heating.  They worked on our furnace, main drain, put in all our pipes, new bathroom put in, new fixtures and washers.  They are not the cheapest but they are the best.  They are reliable and they do excellent work.

He is really good. He is excellent. His prices are extremely fair. He was running a little late in the morning, so his office manager called to let me know. He does a very good job, and he does it all himself. He is the owner, and he is very professional. He calls when he is going to be late, and that is a big plus. I have to call and schedule for him to come out with a camera guy.

About 6 weeks ago.His name is Patrick Ivy. He has been working for us for quite number of years. He is excellent. His prices are reasonable. He is honest and prompt. It is all good.
