When I called to schedule, they were flexible even though I had waited nearly until the deal expired. On the day we had agreed upon, they called and asked to come later than arranged due to unexpected events; this was no problem for me. Two workers arrived and started at the 'top' of the house. The work was very thorough: kitchen and bathroom in particular were shiner than they have been in years. Not all the blinds were cleaned and the floor was limited to mopping with oil soap.

The scheduling of the cleaning resulted in very poor service.  I only needed to wait a couple of days for the cleaning, but I had never said I needed them to come quickly.  I was actually expecting to wait because so many people sign up for the special offers.  The two young women really tried to do a good job, but they didn't arrive until 5:00 p.m.  It was obvious they were exhausted, so I didn't ask them to stay long.  They worked really well for two hours, which would be a total of four hours, not nine.  You cannot expect the workers to provide nine hours of deep cleaning when they don't arrive until late afternoon.  I can't remember what time they were scheduled to come, but I think they were running late.  They were more than willing to perform any additional cleaning I asked of them, but I was pretty tired by then too and didn't feel like going through the house looking for more areas to dust, and I noticed plenty of them after they left.

The maids were more than 3 hours late.  Thirty minutes after they were due to arrive, I called the service provider's office.  I was told the maids would arrive shortly.  When they were more than on hour late, I called again and was again told they would be there soon.  That did not turn out to be the case.  The person in the office who answered the phone did not provide useful information about what time the maids would arrive or why they were late.  She did not offer an an apology and was not professional.  In contract, the person who scheduled the appointment was curetous and professional.   When the maids arrived they did a satisfactory job of cleaning my house.   They were organized, curteous and professional.  However, I would not use this service again because I cannot waste my time waiting for a service provider who is late.  The delay in cleaning my home really upset my schedule for the remainder of the day. Definitely would not use this service again and would not recommend to friends and family.

Our house was really in sad shape.  I've been physically unable to keep up with the basics so these three ladies had a lot to do and they performed beyond what we expected.  My only concern is that they do not recognize fine art and handled some of our sculptures and paintings without regard for their value and I am pretty sure it is because they didn't recognize it. A prized decorative bowl on display on an easel was broken, I believe because the lady didn't recognize how to set the easel up.  Other than that, performance was stellar.  Because things were so bad, I told them to only deal with what they could reach, but they tackled the whole mess with professionalism.  Before they came, I would have been embarrassed to let friends in the door.  After they left the door is wide open.

A crew of three cleaners arrived as scheduled and did an exceptional job of cleaning the house, even including the inside of the range.  The house sparkled when they were done, which was very important because it was being listed for sale in a couple of days.

We exchanged emails when I first bought the service.
However, as the day drew near, it took a few calls to receive a confirmation.  Finally got that around 7:30PM the night before.
arrived on the dot and made my wife happy with their work.
HOWEVER, later that night, the ceiling in the family room sprung a leak.
Whoever cleaned the bathroom above, obviously flooded it.
The master bath didn't have any issues, but it was a different worker.
Guess how I spent the next day ?

It was a little slow to start. The owner although very pleasant  & answered each time I called, missed a couple of call backs to confirm if I was scheduled, however we did finally get a confirmed appointment.  The ladies arrived on time & cleaned for a full 3 hours, which was the commitment.  For the past 4 years, I had been caring for an ailing mother, husband, & sister until I was diagnosed myself with breast cancer, suffice it to say my home needed a deep cleaning.  Although there are some things that weren't dusted or wiped off, I would use them again.   I have a lot of knick knacks & a big dog that sheds!  They did a great job cleaning the stove, the burners looked new & all 3 bathrooms were immaculate.  If there was more time I'm sure they would've cleaned the patio doors,  I have 6,  cleaned the built-in bookcases, polished all the wood furniture  and dust behind the beds.  Overall, I was pleased & yes would use them again.

The quality of the work was good. However, I gave a C or Fair rating because of the lack of responsiveness and professionalism related to scheduling. We had contacted the company for a tentative date. We believe she was the owner of the company who couldn't confirm the appointment because she wasn't sure of at that time and said she would call me the next day. Several days past, my husband had to call her back but no responses or confirmation from her end. After having to push and push, wasting many hours to contact her, she finally came to the house. The unfortunate part is that even though we contacted her 12 days prior to the cleaning date, she only can clean the house the day that my tenants were supposed to move in. On top of that, she could only perform the job at the time it was least convenient for us and the tenants.

They did a nice job with the cleaning. I rate them only fair on professional because they left things out of place more than is usual. I expect some of this with any cleaning services because they don't remember where every bottle of shampoo went. But there was a lot of it with this company. They even left a throw rug from the entryway in the middle of the living room carpet.

Three women arrived on time and after a bit of explaining went to work.  I left the house after a bit, when I returned about a half hour before they would finish I found them putting their equipment into the car.  I asked if any windows had been done--none had.  I said I would call the company then the leader called her supervisor and immediately the women went to work cleaning all of the windows, inside and outside (they fold inside for ease of cleaning the outer surfaces), of all the windows on the lower to floors--more than had been stipulated in the contract.
Lesson:  Watch carefully what they are doing.  If supervised the work is done well.

This was an Angie's List Big Deal. The crew of 3 cleaners arrived close to the approximate time we set, and immediately set to cleaning the second floor. While cleaning, they found the wedding band I had misplaced and brought it to me right away. They all worked diligently and with attention to detail.
They continuously checked with me on what I wanted done.
When they were done, the house gleamed: everything Diedra promised and more.

They were supposed to arrive on a Friday. After several phone calls, although the woman was kind, she said that one of the girls had gone home sick and the girls were getting tired.  We agreed for them to start around 7:30 pm that night.  They stayed for approximately one hour.  They cam back on Monday to finish.  I had scheduled this to be done before Sunday.  The woman answering the phone did not call back.  The house was clean but the additional things that I had expected to be done were not done. The original cost for this service was $500 and was on a special for $199.00.

I contacted the owner a week prior and the conversation went well.  I described the type of house, the fact that I have both hardwood and carpet and that I had recently had painting done, so the baseboards would not need to be cleaned.  Initially, I was able to schedule the date right away, but I had to change it, as the painters would not be finished in time.  The owner changed the date without a problem.  The day before the cleaning, I contacted the owner to confirm the time of their arrival.  I left an email and followed up with a voicemail; however, I did not receive a response.  On the morning of the cleaning, I called the owner on two different numbers to confirm the time of arrival, but could not reach her.  Finally, she called me back and said that the team would be at my home at 1:00pm.  The team finally showed up at 2:15pm.  At 4:30pm, I received a call from the owner stating that they were finishing up and that they could not complete cleaning the rest of the house.  I asked if she could at least finish the bathroom in the basement and vacuum the basement.  She said she would try.  She called me back immediately and stated that they actually had more time and that she would have them clean the bathroom.  They had not yet completed the 3-hours that I pre-paid.   When I returned home, my floor in the kitchen and the hardwood floors were very dull and the team had used something other than a damp mop on the floor.  Several surfaces and pictures had not been dusted at all. The carpet in my walk-in closet had not been vacuumed. It certainly was not a deep cleaning. I think in the future, the owner should inquire about the size of the home and the number of bedrooms before setting expectations that the entire home would be cleaned.

We originally started using HOC to clean our small condo via a Living Social voucher in November 2011.  We used them once a month consistently for a while, then took a break and recently restarted using their service monthly.  Given the size of our condo, the crew of 2-3 people were usually in and out within an hour and the result was a clean home.
The problem we dealt with regularly and which ultimately caused us to cancel their service this week is scheduling and other communication with the company.  This is always done through the owner, who seems to be managing a lot of efforts and as a result failed to follow through on appointments or other wishes we passed along.
If the company hires an office manager or someone dedicated to scheduling and customer communications, I feel they would improve their performance greatly.  Without this change, however, we cannot recommend them at this time.

The team showed up on time, was fast and efficient. The carpet was cleaned the next day and again did a great job. Even got the dark edges of the carpet. I was very pleased with both the quality and price. I would recommend them as well as use them again myself.
