Cecilia did an excellent job. She talked me through her assessment and work, explaining the why and how. I felt comfortable and heard. I could ask questions and got her opinion on some future projects for my home. I highly recommend her. I will definitely use Handywoman Services again.

Cecilia responded immediately when contacted, and set up an appointment for the next work day. She called while en route to let me know that ran into a road slowdown and would be a few minutes late. She and her associate Naz (Naga) repaired some drywall, touched up a few painting dings, and mounted a TV on the wall. They had all the needed tools and equipment and cleaned up every bit of dust. They were friendly, helpful, and flexible, and their prices are very competitive. Cecilia told me she is a licensed master carpenter and her son is a licensed electrician. Between the three, they can do pretty much any repair work around one's home or condo (as in my case).

Everything went well and everything is sturdy. She's hard to get a hold of, but she has very good prices.

Cecilia Moore was professional and did a great job on the wallpaper removal project in our home.  The walls look amazing and I continue to be amazed at the resulting transformation.  
Let me say that January 5 and the remainder of that week was the start of the very cold weather, making roads hazardous and traffic ridiculous.  I rated Cecilia as punctual because under the circumstances she was very responsive.  When she was going to be a bit later than normal due to traffic, she contacted me prior to her scheduled time arrival time to let me know that she was running a bit behind schedule.  Under the weather circumstances, that was not unexpected and I appreciated it.  Regardless, of any delays the work was done professionally, and they cleaned up behind themselves in a manner that I totally appreciated.  She discussed paint colors with me and provided suggestions that in the end, made the job turn out so well that I am truly overjoyed and appreciative of her knowledge, insight and work ethic.  
I am planning to contact her in the very near future for some other projects that I have lined up; and knowing that I can count on a skilled tradeswoman is refreshing.  
Basically, I got several price quotes for this project and I contacted several other tradesman who were all very pleasant, courteous and knowledgable.  I have to say this because in the end it came down to price and starting date, but when the starting dates coincided, price was the determining factor.  I say this because we all look for "best value" for the money being spent and I was comfortable in the choice that we made to hire the Handywoman Services company and I can truly say that the choice was correct.  All of the contractors that were contacted basically provided the same description of the work that they proposed to do, so in the end not only did we get a professional job, it was done at a very competitive price which is always a win-win for the homeowner or whomever it is that's looking for skilled trade professionals. 
Cecilia Moore and her Handywoman Services company did an excellent job and i would gladly recommend her company to anyone needed work done.

unfortunately, there was a complete breakdown in services promised, paid for and provided.  Work was started, then not completed, and no follow through, although there were many promises to call, visit, follow up, and fix.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for knowledgeable, affordable, and great help around the house. Cecilia now only knows exactly what she is doing, but goes the extra mile to explain it to you and to make sure that her work is suitable for the problem. Example: we have an odd-sized drain right outside our basement door that kept becoming clogged. She cut and perfectly fit two drain covers and attached them together so that it was unlikely that a blockage would ever happen again. She installed a better-than-we-had-before garage door lock and fit weatherproofing to our basement door, which is also irregular sized. She is also extremely personable! Great value for great work. Of double bonus, she didn't charge the several-hour-minimum that other handymen charged. Also, love the fact that she's a woman - great for stay-at-home moms!

Excellent! The handywoman brought an assistant and they completed several tasks around my condo with professionalism and efficiency. It was exactly what I wanted and for a reasonable price. They also were able to come on fairly short notice. I would recommend the handywoman to others!

Cecilia contacted me the morning of the appointment to let me know that se was running late well in advance.  When she arrived she was very friendly and professional.  She informed me of exactly what needed to be done and what she would be doing while there.  Cecilia also gave me recommendations regarding replacing the sliding screen for the patio door and also took measurements of the door for my replacement.  I will definitely will be using Handy Woman Services again and have referred her to family and friends.

The project went well.  They arrived when they said, the finish work looks great and they were very neat about the job. Both women on the job were very professional and polite.  The quote was accurate.

Perfect! Was able to turn a 1 bedroom den into a 2 bedroom apartment! Workmanship was very acceptable- just what we asked for. Good competitive pricing. Would definitely use again.

Everything was fine. She responded to my inquiry, took care of a few small items that I had, came when she said she was going to come and it all worked out fine. She was responsive and professional.

She and I had a communications problem (email went astray) last October, so I ended up not using her and was sorry about that.  This time, she gave me a quote of $250 over the phone and said she would need to charge for any materials she needed to buy (she was thinking of supply lines).  As it happened, she needed to buy a section of PVC piping and only charged me another $10 for it. She also explained that I will need new shut-off valves but she didn't have that equipment on hand, but left the bathroom is usable shape. The re-caulking was a clean job and the gutters look clear from here anyway. She and her helper were prompt to time, did the jobs quickly, and were very tolerant of my noisy young dog. So I put a little extra on their payment. And she and her helper together were a lot cheaper on an hourly basis than the one guy I hired last October. So yeah, I'm pleased.

It was great.  It was easy to reach her and schedule a convenient day for me.  Cecilia was on time, communicative, referred me to another service for a specialty bathtub repair, and was neat and did an excellent job on each item on my list.  I got a fair price for really good work.  I will definitely be calling on her again. 

Easy to contact, came as promised to see work required and gave me a price. She returned on time and on date promised, worked quickly and efficiently, left work area clean. Work was done beautifully.

Handywoman was prompt, efficient, courteous, knowledgeable and cleaned up after the work.  I couldn't ask for more unless she could do the job for free.

Let me start by saying I do not know who any of the people that rated Handywoman Services an 'F' were dealing with, but my experience with Cecilia Moore of Handywoman Services was excellent. I contacted Ms. Moore on 3 Feb, initially by the email option on Angie's List, be advised that option does not work with cell phones (No Android app for Angie's List), being I did not hear from her within the hour I called the cell phone number listed and she answered on the third ring. We scheduled for her to come out to do the install on 5 Feb at the price of $100. I sent her my address and phone number by email which she responded to on 4 Feb acknowledging our appointment. On 5 Feb, Ms. Moore called me 2 hours before our scheduled appointment time to let me know she would be an hour late (this in my mind was very professional as it gave me time to plan whether to keep the appointment or cancel it). Most companies give you a four hour window and tell you they will cal when they are 30-minutes away. Which always meant your morning or evening was wasted in waiting. Ms. Moore arrived as re-scheduled and immediately assessed the area and determined what she needed to install the TV mount. Throughout the process we discussed what she needed to do to my wall in order to secure the mount, ensuring that the weight of the TV would not one damage the wall, and two damage the TV. I had complete confidence I what she was doing. During the installation we noticed that the studs that would normally be used to anchor the TV mount were not spaced according to code, at which point I feared I could not get the TV mounted, however being the professional I expected, she had brought with her, in preparation for the job, several wall anchors that could support the weight in the absence of a stud. The full mounting process took less than an hour even with the tools issue. She offered to clean the area, which I declined, she gathered all her tools and spare parts and left the area in relatively clean condition (remember I declined her cleaning up). I plan to use Ms. Moore's services again in the future for those jobs I just hate to do. Ooh, did I mention is was very personable, I asked lots of questions and she answered everyone of them like we were old friends. For a Handy Person, she did an awesome job. Would Recommend, but call do not use the email option on Angie's List.

Emails, phone calls and text messages go unanswered.  She was supposed help take a fridge out and at the last moment backed out.  When repeated texts and emails did not solicit a response I wrote to her that I was disappointed she did not respond.  I had another job for which I called her and she was extremely rude and said I should never contact her again.  Please note that I had always treated her with respect and courtesy.  Obviously, she must have been good at some point in her life, but at present she is not someone who can work properly.
