We've had the pleasure of being an Eastern Grounds Landscaping customer for about 10 years now. It started out with the mowing service and now includes landscaping as well. We've always had very pleasant experiences with not only Bill but the other staff and workers as too. They are always very professional, courteous, respectful and extremely knowledgeable. We recently had some drain repair work. The water flow had to be redirected in another direction. An enormous amount of digging was done BY HAND. It was quite an enormous job to watch them perform. It was an all day job. Even though a couple of parts arrived later then expected and our date was pushed back a couple of times, the end result was well worth waiting for. Bill told me he wanted the job done perfectly, and perfect it was! The diligence and passion the crew demonstrated that day sums up the integrity of Eastern Grounds. I highly recommend them for any service you may need. Hats off to Bill, Emilie and the hardworking crew. You are a blessing!

Eastern Grounds Landscaping provides excellent service! We've been using them for several years for nearly-year-round maintenance of Whitehall Pool and Tennis Club in Bowie. They get the entire property landscaping cleaned-up, pruned, edged, mulched, and decorated with flowers in the spring and keep it looking sharp throughout the summer. Additional fall lawn maintenance and leaf removal is also performed expertly. The crews are professional and do beautiful work. The owner works closely with the customer to ensure guaranteed satisfaction with the job. Communication with the owner and the office staff is always timely and responsive, either by phone or email. The owner, Bill, and the crews have also responded quickly when we needed emergency service like cutting down fallen trees after storms and needing extra mowing services before big swim meets. We highly recommend Eastern for commercial or residential landscape services.

We've used Eastern Grounds more than a dozen times over the past five years. They've consistently been professional, thorough, and reasonably priced. I've repeatedly recommended them to other neighbors, and I will continue to use them as long as I live in the area. Our first service was to repair and replace some bushes damaged by BGE during their "pruning." They sent a certified landscape architect to walk through the property and carefully note everything that had been damaged. Being honest, I had no idea that level of detail went into landscaping, but their thoroughness earned my repeat business. We hired them again that fall to re-sod a portion of the lawn and we've been coming back ever since. In the spring, summer, and fall, I work very hard to try and keep up the yard, but their is a stark and impressive difference in the appearance of our property after their service. The owner, Bill, is fantastic, and the lead foreman we most frequently see, Carlos, is extremely professional and polite. He runs a very tight ship, and he's been very accommodating to (and remembers) our specific requests (i.e. we like our bushes trimmed to a certain height to have a clear line of sight when pulling out of our driveway).

If there was a place to give 10 stars, we would. Eastern Grounds Landscaping is the very best for all outdoor needs. Very professional and professional looking, courteous, punctual, humble, excellent work with great attention to detail, very pleasant personalities. They treat our yard as if it were their own. We highly recommend them!!

Everything is great! I have used EGL for over 15 years and never had any issues that were not resolved quickly and professionally. I trust EGL for all of my landscaping and grounds maintenance needs.

No complaints. Marvelous service! Cutting is weekly on the same day. Notified when fertilization or animal service is performed. The is always left clean with no clipping or trash left behind. Workers are quiet and efficient, always pleasant and courteous. Always available to discuss costs and delivery. Will make personal visits to inspect work and make plans for additional work that needs to be done. I have been very pleased and fortunate to have EGL has my landscaping company for the past 15 -plus years!

The way this company treated me as a customer is unacceptable.  Here is the letter I sent them a week ago, to which I received no response.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Some time ago, I purchased a Groupon for two fertilization treatments.  I've contacted your company on three different occasions, and I have yet to receive the services I requested.  I asked to redeem my Groupon, and requested an estimate for grounds maintenance. I called Eastern Grounds Maintenance on Friday, May 27, and was told I would be put on the schedule and that someone would call me the following week.  No one called.  I called again on Monday, June 6, and was told that my name and a note to contact me were in the system, and that someone would call me.  No one called.  I called a *third* time on Wednesday, June 15, and someone did get in touch with me as promised.  The lady I spoke with told me she would come by later that day and leave some documentation in my box.  She never came. 

Don't you want my business?  I should not have to contact you a fourth time.  Please, either come out to my property or refund my $75.  I can provide you with the Groupon number if you need it.

I ended up contacting Groupon and receiving a $75 refund.  I was grateful for the refund, but was still very angry over the treatment I received by the company.  They're crooks as far as I'm concerned, accepting payment for services never rendered.  Stay away.

It is now late June and my lawn looks like crap!  It looks like they have never done anything.  I am not sure what they are dispensing from those trucks but my lawn looks no way near the pictures in the binders and brochures.  A few weeks ago,  while I was at work, my husband said they came back again and applied another application of "mystery" fertilizer.  While my husband  told them to do not come back as we did not request this treatment, the person kept saying "free! free!"  (poor English skills). I haven't received a bill yet but we'll see what happens.  This is a very shoddy operation with false advertisement to boot.

Overall, they do a good job mowing and edging my lawn which is why I've stayed with them for 3 years.

We have used their service already for general lawn service for almost 10 years and they do a great job. We are under contract, so they come to cut our lawn on a regular basis. Sometimes the grass gets a bit long in between cuts, but if we call to say it needs cutting they are usually out within a day or two to cut it. They are customer oriented, referring to clients by name. They are responsive to stopping by to offer a free estimate. For the work they recently completed, they came first to do an estimate, which I thought was reasonable. They came out later to discuss details of what I wanted done and made some recommendations about related work that would complete the look of the  without adding significant cost to the project. the sales team offered recommendations about additional work, but was not pushy. We were in a hurry to have the lawn clean-up completed. Workers came by early in the morning after the estimate to remove the debris from the lawn. We were not in a rush to have the landscating work done, so about a week later they came back to dig and edge the flower beds. They started very early in the morning and were done in a couple of hours. the sales person stopped  later that day to walk around the yard with me to make sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. The company has always been respectful of my budget and desire to avoid fertilizers and chemicals. They are attentive to my personal taste.
