Bowie Siding and Roofing, Inc. is a family owned and operated business in Bowie, MD. We have worked here in Prince Georges and surrounding counties for over 48 years. We only use high quality, long-lasting materials and we warranty our workmanship for 15 years on new installations. We specialize in making homes beautiful and energy efficient. "Dear Sir, I truly believe this is a case of mistaken identity. I have searched through all of my records including paper hard copies, all of my computers, my Access database and my Quickbooks and cannot find ANY record of working for you at all. Unfortunately for me, I was not advertising with Angie's List for the past couple of years and did not notice that you had left this review or else I would have responded sooner. Originally, I had contacted Bowie Siding & Roofing, Inc. at 301-262-7855 through Angie's messaging service on November 18, 2015 with my preferred dates to inspect and repair my roof. My home is only five years old so it was odd that I had a leak in the first place. They replied on November 19, 2015 and asked for my contact information and address which I provided on November 20, 2015.I had not heard from them and had to leave town through the December 17th I again reminded them on December 21, 2015 through the messaging service that I sent my information. I phoned them when I did not hear from them and got no answer. I was telephonically contacted and was told that a repairer was going to contact me on December 23rd or the 24th (that did not happen). However, it did rain on the 24th and while I did not expect anyone to come, I did not receive a call either way. The provider finally did call on December 26th and a contractor representing their company arrived on December 28, 2015.As you can see it took from November 19th to December 28th to pull the nail in my roof, inspect it and replace three vent covers. The gentlemen that arrived was very courteous and respectful. He offered to show the vent covers he replaced and the ones he used to replace the others. He told me what the problem was and how catching it prevented a much larger problem later.
"Dear Sir, I am sorry that you feel I was not as responsive as I should have been. During the time you describe most of us were out of town for either personal reasons or the holidays. I believe our service mechanic squeezed you in as quickly as he could which was right after Christmas. Usually we respond much more quickly but this was a rough time for me (the office manager). On December 14, 2015 my daughter had major spine surgery and I was not at work until well into January as I was taking care of her. I would only come in sporadically to do the bare minimum during times I was able to have another person sit with my daughter. I wish that I would have seen this review sooner and been able to reach out to you personally to explain my situation and I'm sure you would have been more understanding."

I explained the problem and someone came over in two days and explained how the problem
would be solved I agreed and they came back that weekend and fixed the problem.
I do think using Angies list was a plus since these people were better than I could have found on my own.
It was very helpfull.

"I called this member today and we discussed the issue. The material was delayed because it was a special order from our supplier (not available locally). The supplier kept promising a delivery day and then would not deliver it. I tried calling the member several times and he tried calling me but we kept missing each other. I was able to special order another panel to take care of the cracked piece and we plan to change that out as soon as we have it in hand. I never intentionally ignored this member, I do care about his experience and am trying my hardest to make things right with him."
