Air Doctor Mechanical

Air Doctor has come out to our house three times to service our HVAC unit. The first time, Derrick was very helpful, said simply that the leak was due to a clog in the main pipe. He unclogged it. A few days later the HVAC system was not working again, Derrick came out and said the coolant needed to be change. He then realized that our HVAC unit was hard to get to and claimed that there was not safe access to the HVAC unit on the roof.
Our HVAC unit is on the roof and to access it you need to go out a bedroom window and then place a ladder on that roof up to roof where the HVAC is located. Derrick said because the roof is sloped slightly he could not do it and essentially we needed to build a platform and add a ladder to fix the roof. We finally found a different AC contractor who had the proper ladder to add the coolant into the unit.
We had Derrick then come out to check on another leak again and he unclogged it but again was not very helpful.
Our big issue with their service was they were not problem solvers, when we had this roof access issue, instead of trying to work with us to find a way to solve the problem, he essentially said it was your problem. That type of attitude is absolutely frustrating and not helpful.

This was done under my contract with American Home Shield.  After the previous contractor failed to provide satisfactory services, Air Doctor was able to identify the problem very quickly, which was that my compressor had to be replaced, and they performed the job in a timely manner.

Horrible service. Rude and disrespectful. Lied about what they would do and had to google to figure out how to perform various aspects of the installation. For example, they said they would clean the existing lines and did not. They even damaged the equipment they installed and did not finish the job.

I will have them out again this year, they are a quality out fit.

I LIKE THAT THEY COULD COME OUT ON REALLY SHORT NOTICE & AFTER-HOURS. THEY DID A GOOD JOB OF CLEANING UP AFTER THEMSELVES. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO SOMEONE ELSE.
