My experience has been good. We used them for the first time last year. They came out the next day and did a nice job. They are always quick to respond.

The bathroom and kitchen faucets were repaired adequately. The toilet repairs were performed incorrectly, after several visits, in spite of having replaced several mechanisms. I will attempt to describe the details without actually knowing the correct labels for all of the parts involved. The first plumber did not have one of the parts he said he needed for one of the toilets and was going to turn off the water for that toilet for the entire weekend until he could return with the part on Monday. I said that that was unacceptable, and he made a trip that day and returned with the part. He also left a filthy carpet in one of the bathrooms. When I called the owner about the continuing poor functioning of the toilets, the owner's son returned with him the following week, made some adjustments, and said that the toilets were working as well as could be expected, and at first the leaking problems seemed improved. However, when I complained about the dirt they tracked in, he said that that was one of the reasons why they were able to charge less than other firms. I then called the owner to complain about the continuing poor evacuation for all of the toilets, that one of the toilets mechanisms was getting "stuck" on one the the new parts (a fill valve) so that the flush could not be completed, and that one toilet was now "flushing" every few minutes. He replied that they were working as well as could be expected, that they were old, and that I probably needed new toilets. However, for the toilet that started to "flush", a friend discovered, after many hours and much effort, that the "new" flapper that I was charged for on that toilet was never actually replaced, and the "flushing" was a result of the toilet continuing to leak...this problem ended when my friend actually replaced the flapper. For the toilet with the mechanism that was getting stuck, another plumber came and just moved one of the parts, which fixed that problem, and he also adjusted the water levels on all of the toilets so they were all evacuating properly, as they continue to be. He also found that the original plumber had replaced one of the parts of one toilet with an incorrect flapper mechanism for that toilet, contributing a more significant evacuation/flushing problem for that particular toilet, and he replaced it with one that is now functioning well; however, the original should never have been replaced in it's entirety, especially when he did not have a correct replacement mechanism, and it also involved removing and replacing the entire toilet tank. I do want to add, on a positive note, that the owner was always pleasant, he always returned my calls, and he was willing to spend a lot of time on the phone trying to explain the problems and options, and for this reason I am sorry to have had to provide the above report. However, for whatever reason, he and/or his staff were not able to perform these repairs in an adequate manner, which created a time consuming and stressful experience for me.

I had a good experience with them. They were very friendly. They came at the time they were supposed to come and the guy that came was efficient. I was pleased with the work he did. I think the price they charged me was reasonable. I will definitely use them again. He did a good job. He did it quietly and efficiently. I looked at him for some time as to what he was doing, as the guy who came last time had not done his job, and I was pleased with him.

Experience was positive. I emailed from the Angie's List website and received a response back two days later (I believe the response would have been quicker if I had called rather than submitted an email through Angie's List). I then called after hours, left a voicemail, and my call was returned promptly the next morning and Walt scheduled my visit for the next day. The technician arrived within the expected timeframe, was courteous, and completed the job professionally. The work came in over the estimate, but not unreasonably so.

Budget was extremely responsive, professional and worked me right in. I recently purchased a foreclosure and when DC WASA came to turn on the water everything at the water valve source just blew and flooded the basement. The technician came out and very capably handled the issue, found the valve that needed replacing and replaced it. He was very professional and I never felt that I was being taken advantage of. I ended up going with my GC to fix the rest of the problems just because it was easier, but I wouldn't hesitate to call Budget again for any plumbing issues.

Job scheduled in a reasonable amount of time considering recent heat wave. Did not try to convince us to replace unit as previous repairman did. Reasonable price, polite and efficient.

They are very competent and know what they are doing, they are very punctual, their prices are reasonable and they are very cordial and friendly. What's great is that you deal with the guy who owns the company - and they are capable of doing pretty much anything in the areas of plumbing, air conditioning and heating.

It was same day service, I called that morning, and the service was performed that afternoon.

I will say that Budget is very reasonably priced. Not remembering what the charge is, I was not displeased. I felt they did very good for what they charge me. I have not yet followed up with them but I will soon. They were very professional and worth using again.

My plumber was great at finding the source of the water and having it stopped at the main line and contacting the water authorities and pumping out the water. Now for the clean up.

It's a small company where the owners do the work. You're getting real, experienced plumbers while you use them
