We have also liked Strosniders but this review is really for chief color consultant Nancy Reid. She does brief consults in store but also makes house calls for a very reasonable fee. Nancy solved a very complicated paint issue for our newly renovated kitchen where walls will not only have to complement various colors in the kitchen itself but also not collide with colors in other rooms to which the kitchen will now be open. She was terrific. Open-minded, professional, friendly, and diplomatic. Managed to accomplish the task withou making this color-challenged client feel like a moron. Highly recommend.

It has everything and is so personal. They have every tool you could want. Their shrubbery and plant selection is extensive. It is a classic building. It has toys for kids, and was my children's favorite place to go. Everyone there is an expert to personally assist with anything you need, from tools, painting, to kitchenware. It is very classy, but not pretentious. It is the place to go on Saturday morning!

Having had difficulty with copied keys in the past, I was hesitant to go to anyone but a locksmith to have them copied. However, my friend said she always had her keys made at Strosniders Hardware, so I gave it a try. They did an excellent job the very first time. The key maker was quite friendly and the selection of key holders was quite adequate for my needs.

This is a great store. Very know.edgeable ad attentive staff. The people in the paint department are very helpful in showing samples and making suggestions.

Strosniders Hardware offers probably the best variety of hardware compared to any place in the Washington area. Their employees are all familiar with everything. They will tell you exactly which table to go to. They give me comparisons on the material. They give me good advice. Today’s day in age that is premium service; one can’t find that. Variety in materials and employee knowledge in this store are the two things unique to them. That has made me choose this hardware store out of a different one in the area.
