Shelley is absolutely amazing & helped us throughout the entire home buying process. Being fairly new to the state, we didn't know exactly where we wanted to purchase a home but that was ok. Shelley helped us narrow down what areas would be a good fit for our family. She always listened carefully to what we were looking for in a home and a community and tailored our search to those desires. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable about this entire region, she's also well versed on VA assumption loans. Every time we went to tour a house Shelley was there pointing out both positive and negative aspects so we could make a truly informed decision. She worked tirelessly to help us get a quick offer in on a very popular house. Once we closed on the house, Shelley continued to help us with recommendations on every aspect of moving and getting settled in. Her guidance for what we needed to do to get our old house ready to sell was spot on. She made the house look amazing. Her helped extended beyond what is normally expected from a real estate agent. She helped us downsize and sell some of our stuff. When health issues forced us to leave early, she worked with the contractors to fix up the house and the movers to pack our belongings. The staging and pictures really made the house shine. She priced the house appropriately and marketed it well. She was informative, she knows the area very well, and all of her recommendations and ideas were very welcome. Generally, the units in my building took between 6 and 9 months to sell, Shelly had a contract on my unit in 4 months and the settlement was at 5 months. Shelly is a first rate agent, when I decided to sell my unit she was the first and only agent I contacted. She has been involved in the real estate transactions of my extended family for nearly 20 years and 5 different sales/purchases, and after the first one, she was who we have called for each of the others. I highly recommend Shelly for both sales and purchases, not only does she listen to you, the customer, but if you listen to her and follow her recomendations you will have an easy time of it.

We had lived in our house for 25 years so we were not knowledgeable about what was needed in 2018 to prepare and sell a house well. Even a year ahead, when we found her with good reviews on Angie’s List, she came over, did a summary book on the steps to take, and what the comparables at that time were. She walked through the house with us and discussed what in each room would be needed and not needed in order for the house to show well. The process began to look manageable and we could lay a plan to prepare to sell. She helped us form a list of all repairs and replacements we would do, then gave us the names of individuals with whom she had experience, who would do the work effectively, on a time schedule and at a reasonable cost. That included getting kitchen appliances and hiring people to paint, lay and refinish flooring, install carpeting, install counter tops, and do electrical upgrades. When we texted even small questions, like carpet shades, she was fast with a recommendation. But also, she didn’t object to our making different choices. She often responded to texts and voice messages within minutes and came by the house to look at work in progress as we asked. She was always pleasant and very knowledgeable. She always let us know what steps were coming up to help us plan. Staging and photography, even with a drone, was well done with great results. We got sufficient notice about when we would need to be out of the house for showing times. She was actively involved during the entire selling process, helping us strategize and make final-price decisions. The bottom line is, thanks to Shelley, our house was on the market only 4 days which brought 14 showings and 2 offers, both above our asking price. When things could have felt overwhelming, she helped us see through the options. We were quite satisfied and highly recommend her.

I have greatly enjoyed working with Shelley! From the moment I sent my first e-mail to utilize her services, I knew I wanted to work with her, because she had responded to that initial inquiry within minutes (on a weekend)!! Selling a home isn’t easy, but Shelley was with me each step of the way and had everything covered. I work on the lender side, so I did have a small advantage, in that I understood the process and the terminology, but I’m not the professional, so I relied heavily on her advice. There is an incredible amount of work to do in selling a home, and she made sure I never missed a beat. Shelley did a fantastic job of selling our home! It was a 3 bedroom townhouse in Silver Spring, Maryland, and it needed A LOT of work. Shelley went above and beyond finding reputable but affordable contractors for all the work, helping to organize schedules, and helping me not lose my mind. While I was at work she frequently stopped by the house to make sure the contractors were doing a good job. I was nervous about the timing of putting the house on the market because it was so close to the holidays (a week before Christmas). But Shelley had done her homework and knew, based on the comps and what was on the market, that we had a good chance of getting a quick offer. She was right. After less than a week on the market, we had 4 offers. The offer we chose was above our asking price. I totally credit the quick offers to Shelley. She knows how to price a home right, and she knows market trends. These are the words that best describe Shelley: responsive, prompt, professional, prepared, motivated, and effective. Beyond that, she's a great cheerleader to her clients. When we hit bumps in the road, she was great at being solutions oriented and keeping us optimistic. We have purchased two homes with Shelley's assistance, in 2009 and 2016. The latter was new construction, which involved multiple meetings with the builder, interior selections at a design studio, pre-drywall inspection & a final walk through, and several rounds of negotiations. The entire process was relatively long, filled with many questions and a fair share of anxiety that's inherent to buying a house that's not built yet. Shelley was there every step of the way, ensuring that no detail went unnoticed, while at the same time addressing all of our concerns. The qualities that I appreciate most are her promptness and her proactive approach to following up with all involved parties to make sure that all of our bases are covered. Shelley Green was fabulous. She came out well before we decided to put our home on the market with a well developed market comparison that gave a range of what we could expect to net from the sale of the house at a range of possible prices. She detailed her marketing plan and noted she would be paying for a professional stager. She walked through our house twice with us once, initially, and once when we wanted to get it on the market quickly to go over what we needed to do to make it sell quickly. Then she brought the stager in and we had a few minor additional items to attend to, but no major painting or repairs as she had already flagged all that for us way earlier. She gave us a price range for listing the house based on recent sales in the area and talked to us multiple times about scenarios for when we listed the house. The house sold within a week at full price. We also had multiple offers in an area where houses were often sitting on the market for months and this was in late July/early August when the market is considered slow. She was thorough in following up with agents who showed the house, providing us feedback each time and keeping us updated on the discussions with agents, knowing we were anxious. Shelley was also awesome when it came to the period between the contract and sale. She adeptly helped us navigate what could have been a really tough home inspection contingency, getting us the best possible outcome in my mind. She also helped us go back to the purchasers and request to move settlement back a few days so we could coincide it with a house we were purchasing. It happened seamlessly from our end. We thought selling our home with two little kids was going to be a huge challenge and really stressful, and Shelley made it so much easier than we anticipated.
