I assumed all of the work was complete until my neighbor asked me when they were going to come out and finish a small section of the house. It turns out they left one area of the house incomplete. I contacted them and asked why they didn't do this and they said it was not part of the fascia and not work that they would do.
I had another contractor come out and take a look and he agreed with me that the work left incomplete was part of the fascia and something that I paid for.
I would not recommend them to anyone else.
"I am writing to respond to the member's complaint regarding work that was performed on her home in Fairfax, VA. We have discussed, personally met and walked thru project and reviewed work and contract with her. We were hired to address specific areas on her home. These areas were documented with descriptions and measurements and were agreed to by the member. We performed the work and were paid in full with the customer happy with the quality of the installation. After her neighbor pointed out a trim board on her home, she contacted us to see if it was included. We reviewed with customer and agreed that the only board to be replaced was a 13' fascia board that also received a gutter and had the soffit reattached and was the only board on the contract and was clearly replaced. Since it was the only wood board to be replaced and no other boards are listed, it was clearly not in the order. This exact board was measured, priced and agreed to in the contract and the board was replaced during the installation. The extra board the customer is referring to is a rake board and would require additional roof work and as clearly not the fascia board listed in the work order as the customer would agree. The only thing she is looking for is to have the additional work done for free and she is willing to file a report showing low grades on every point just to get the additional work for free. When we met with her we were willing to do the additional work for a small charge. Nowhere in the complaint does the member question our workmanship. The fact is, the job looks great and the work and customer service has been exceptional, even to this day. We gave her a discounted price and she still gave us a low grade on price, that should tell anyone reading this that the complaint is unreasonable. As a small contractor we work hard everyday to give our customers a great installation and fantastic service, having to battle complaints that only exist to receive free additional work should be unacceptable. For the record we asked Angie's List to completely expunge this complaint based on the fact that the evidence within the work order, pictures and customers own statements clearly show the complaint is unwarranted. False reports can be incredibly damaging and steps should be taken to protect contractors and service providers. Meredith Hall Next Day Gutters"
With that level of confidence, I chose not to pay the $100 to have them come out. However, the windows leaked again during the next heavy rain. Furious, I called them and they sent someone out who realized they had not caulked the J channel. When I reminded the supervisor of the full refund deal he offered, he had inexplicable amnesia, of course. After arguing with him for about an hour, he finally consented to refund a small fraction of the cost.

Bob, the estimator, arrived a few minutes later than promised, but called to say he was running behind so it was not a problem. He gave me a detailed estimate and showed me a sample of the gutter, downspout and gutter guards. He also made a suggestion to better route water away from my driveway to avoid ice in the winter. I was specifically looking for the leaf relief brand of gutter guards based on a friend's recommendation. Apparently they've been installing it for several years so they knew proper install techniques. After answering questions about licensing and insurance, I signed the contract.
Yesterday the gutters were installed as promised. I appreciated the fact that the crew was careful to clean up metal scraps and screws because I do have children. The gutters are exactly what I expected and I am happy with the work. Today there has been some rain and ice, and the gutters seem to be functioning properly.
