Next Day Gutters of Bethesda

My Standard Poodle has Hemophilia, and it was important to me to find a company with a good reputation for being thorough with not only providing good quality services and gutters, but also with cleaning up; and unfortunately, this was not the case with Next Day Gutters. When Jeff came to my house, he was very nice and professional. He offered to fix my gutters at a price that was $735 above other estimates, but I trusted his professionalism and went with this family owned business. There were two things that I repeatedly outlined as crucial to me: 1. Please thoroughly clean up and 2. Do not knock on the door as I am an employee who conducts meetings at home - as many others - who have been affected by the pandemic. I stressed the importance of contacting me before his arrival, as disruptions to my meetings would be unacceptable to my colleagues. Jeff assured me that he understood and that I would be happy with the service. I was very appreciative that Jeff was able to "squeeze" me in earlier than expected, but my worst fears were imagined. The crew showed up with no notice and began knocking on the door - and of course, I was in the middle of a virtual meeting ON CAMERA - and my Boss was horrified as I was the facilitator of the meeting! NO notice for Jeff! WORST PART OF THIS REVIEW: Next Day Gutters left nails, aluminum scraps, fiber cement and asphalt shingles, and rotten wood all over my yard, although I informed them of my dogs Hemophilia!! Myself and a landscaper (I can give you his contact info for confirmation), walked around and attempted to clean it up. The workers who left hours ago, but had to come back because they left all their tools in my backyard, did not clean up the mess and asked me "Do you like your gutters?" Yes, I like my gutters, but I love my DOGS! I called Zeke to discuss this and I believed that he too was empathetic to this as he promised to come back and do a thorough clean up and to place the things back in my yard as they were when they arrived and to date, they have never returned as promised. They ran my credit card for the $2,325.00, and I have not heard from them since. I told Zeke that I did not want to do this review, as they are a family owned business with a good rating on Google; however, I also must be truthful about the service I received from them as a consumer and a pet owner. I received my services over two weeks ago, and I am still cleaning up behind them. As a consumer, it is important to be heard and respected. I made every attempt to speak with both Jeff and Zeke (who are brothers) and to resolve this amicably. Zeke asked me what they could do to remedy this, and all asked for was for them to clean up my yard for the safety of my pets - who are my family - and they failed to do this. I never asked for a reduction in price, never asked for a credit, and paid for the services that I believe they partially provided. During these times of economic crisis in a middle of a pandemic, it's important that you make every dollar count....and in this case, I feel like I DID NOT get what was promised or paid for, and I am extremely disappointed.

Jeff was great. Very punctual and the crew got the job done quickly and efficiently. I was also impressed at how easily Jeff was to reach on the phone and by text message. I am very pleased with the service I got and will certainly be calling them when I need a full gutter replacement.

Rep Jeff visited the day after I called. He quickly inspected the work to be done and gave me a quote. We said 'Go' and the crew did the work less than a week later. Oscar and his guys were prompt and in about an hour had the work finished. Everything was done professionally. They cleaned up and hauled the old materials away when they left. They were very friendly and thorough. Would not hesitate to use them again and will recommend them to friends.

It went great they actually came before the original appointment date.

I was very happy with my original phone contact person, as well as  the salesman who came out to measure and price, and of course the installers.  Everyone was very helpful and  professional..  Installed everything as discussed and cleaned up perfectly. They came when they said they would.  I would definitely use them again for other gutter issues at my home.

The work seems to have been done very well. Well see how it holds up. The problem was communication in setting up a work date. We didn't hear from them for awhile to set up an appointment after giving a deposit, and when they did call they picked a date we were out of town after waiting 2 weeks for an install date. I called the place twice to set up a date and they never called back to schedule and then one day they showed up and it was done. The workmanship looks very good, but their communication is terrible.

The man who came out was a very good salesman and although the price was high we schedule to have the work done.  Once it was scheduled they continued to cancel and reschedule on me for many different reasons.  I was taking off work and this was putting me in a tough spot. Finally when they were able to come out I could not get off work so they had to do it a day when I was not at the house.

I assumed all of the work was complete until my neighbor asked me when they were going to come out and finish a small section of the house.  It turns out they left one area of the house incomplete.  I contacted them and asked why they didn't do this and they said it was not part of the fascia and not work that they would do.

I had another contractor come out and take a look and he agreed with me that the work left incomplete was part of the fascia and something that I paid for.

I would not recommend them to anyone else.

Excellent.  I otained three estimates including Next Day Gutters (NDG).  NDG was very competitive on price and the product seems to be at least as good as the compitition.  The gutter leaf protective covers as well as a new downspout were installed promptly as promised.  During the installation they determined that I needed splash guards at couple of places.  This was done with no extra charge. There was a problem with the downspout wich was installed in the wrong place.  NDG corrected this promptly with no hastle what-so-ever.  The people with whom I dealt at NDG were professional and friendly. Leaves are falling, hurricane/tropical storm "Sandy" has come and gone and my gutters are working fine.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!  We had windows leaking on the second floor of our house.  The snake oil sales rep assured me that by replacing our old gutter with a new 6" gutter, wrapping the fascia board and caulking the J channel, our leaks would stop.  Their unsupervised workers did not speak English so we were unable to confirm the work with them at the start of the job. They were gone in little more than half an hour, making it impossible that they performed the work we paid for.  After agreeing to come out and confirm in my presence that the work was done, the sales rep did not show up and did not call.  When I finally reached him, he said he had not had time to dig out my number to return my call. BTW, my number was in his cell phone caller ID from earlier that day.  When he showed up the next day, he did not have a ladder and wasted both of our time.  He said someone would have to come out with a ladder to confirm the work, which is what he was supposed to do that day.  They broke another appointment without calling, then stopped returning my phone calls.  After chasing them down for a month, I finally spoke to a supervisor, who said they would come out and charge me $100 if the agreed-upon work was done.  If it wasn't done, he would refund the entire cost of the job.
With that level of confidence, I chose not to pay the $100 to have them come out.  However, the windows leaked again during the next heavy rain.  Furious, I called them and they sent someone out who realized they had not caulked the J channel.  When I reminded the supervisor of the full refund deal he offered, he had inexplicable amnesia, of course.  After arguing with him for about an hour, he finally consented to refund a small fraction of the cost.
Stay clear of Next Day Gutters!

The estimator came out on time and offered a fair price. I had a slightly lower estimate from another company for gutters of lower quality, so he reduced his price. The works was performed at the time they said it would be. We weren't home at the time, but everything was cleaned up. No damage to bushes or shrubs. Very professional. Highly recommend them.

I contacted15 companies in the area - not through Angie's List as I am a new member. Only 2 called me back. The other company who called me back has still yet to come out and give me an estimate. Next Day Gutters sent Bob out on a Thursday, who is not only very knowledgeable, but friendly and personable.  He answered all of my questions, was very courteous and spent the necessary time reviewing the products and work to be performed. The following Tuesday, Jeff (one of the owners) and two very hard working employees got right to work removing the old gutters and installed the new gutters and downspouts.  Jeff reviewed how the product worked and will assist my home.  The job was done within two hours.  They THOROUGHLY cleaned the job site.  I just can't recommend them enough.  The next day, Wednesday, it rained A LOT and put the gutters to the test.  No problems! I strongly recommend contacting this company for an estimate.  It might take a few days for them to get to you for an estimate, but it's because they are busy....they're good!

Someone came in the day and stole all 7 of the copper downspouts on our house and detached garage! We hired Next Day Gutters because Eddie came over the same day I called to look at the job and give us an estimate. He explained our options and helped us make the best selection. He made arrangements to order the downspouts and said it would take about a week. Rain was predicted for the weekend, and Eddie managed to return in two days and replace all the downspouts, telling us he wanted to get the job done before the rain came! He definitely went above and beyond the call of duty and we were very appreciative. The gutters look great!

They received favorable review on Angie's List and I decided to use them. They were reasonable priced. I was a little uncomfortable about their start day, as I was going out of town. They didn't do the work in the manner I wanted.  They actually performed the work while I was out of town so I wasn't able to point out specific things I wanted done. I would not use them again.

I contacted Next Day Gutters on Monday after having talked to two other companies.  They impressed me right off thet bat because I immediately spoke to a "real" person who answered a few questions for me (like do they have references in my neighborhood) and setup a convenient appointment in the evening the following day.

Bob, the estimator, arrived a few minutes later than promised, but called to say he was running behind so it was not a problem. He gave me a detailed estimate and showed me a sample of the gutter, downspout and gutter guards.  He also made a suggestion to better route water away from my driveway to avoid ice in the winter.  I was specifically looking for the leaf relief brand of gutter guards based on a friend's recommendation.  Apparently they've been installing it for several years so they knew proper install techniques.  After answering questions about licensing and insurance, I signed the contract.

Yesterday the gutters were installed as promised.  I appreciated the fact that the crew was careful to clean up metal scraps and screws because I do have children.  The gutters are exactly what I expected and I am happy with the work.  Today there has been some rain and ice, and the gutters seem to be functioning properly.

The project went fantastic overall.  From the estimate to completion we are very happy.  This is certainly a company that has great customer service and installation.  Highly recommend.

Job was fast, and priced right.  The company was very easy to deal with and responsive to calls.  The entire job was done in under a day and the company left no sign that they'd been there.
